Sooooo I always felt a bit unsettled about Lawrence’s betrayal of Tia bc how he treats her in the current timeline never added up. Like she was such a powerful asset and literally one of his strongest tools yet he threw here away so quickly and easily & *particularly* ruthlessly. Like he could have just killed her and been done with it yet he really went out of his way to make her suffer.
But with this chapter, it seems like there may be more to the story’s of Lysia and Lawrence’s relationship, and now I’m wondering....did he also blame Tia for her death (even tho it wasn’t really her fault)? Could it have been revenge????
That is part of it. You aren't wrong.
Both Lysia and Lawrence have feelings for each other, but Lawrence is a screwed up person.
Also a pathetic person, very much like the emperor. They view to highly of themselves. Lawrence couldn't do anything and isn't smart like his sister.
Tia was the one that placed him on the throne, and he didn't like the idea that he had to rely on her.
He didn't like how much he has to rely on women to get the throne. His mother being the emperor favourite, even marrying Lysia and Tia hard work, is how he got the throne. None of it was of his work. So his hate comes from this. Like I said, pathetic person.
Time to suffer b*tch
