Apparently this is a mobile version which is why the panels are all split up and spread out? Wish I could find the version with a normal layout, I just don't have the patience for scrolling through mobile comics anymore. Takes 10 times longer to get through the same amount of story. At least it has better pacing than K-webtoons but it's still too tedious.
Yeah I miss the design artistry of pages and how they drew your eye across the page by emphasizing the important elements. I grew up reading American superhero comics and old Archie comics in the 90s, and using page/panels as language to communicate the urgency and emotion of a scene feel integral to comics, at least to me. Endless vertical format can offer some interesting design opportunities using unlimited space and scale and the time delay it takes to physically scroll, but it's often just uninspired and strictly functional, faces floating in empty space.

why does the top have to be an annoying prick in every webtoon? I don't need him to be a saint, I just want a character where I don't actively want to punch him in the face
