figure out on his own that the curse was actually just fear, instead of being told by the mermaid? Or maybe just see more of him working through that fear? Idk, it's hard to put a finger on it, but the ending felt anticlimactic somehow. And the giant turtle just came out of left field lol.

I did really love the leadup though, and the art. The mangaka's other series is a favorite of mine, so I recommend that as well.

lol I was not expecting the punch but it was satisfying. Momo not wanting the MC to have friends is so toxic, plus hypocritical considering he himself hangs out with other people all the time

damn the mobile "half a panel per page, surrounded by excessive whitespace" curse is coming for manga now too, I thought I could avoid it by filtering out webtoons -_____-

Apparently this is a mobile version which is why the panels are all split up and spread out? Wish I could find the version with a normal layout, I just don't have the patience for scrolling through mobile comics anymore. Takes 10 times longer to get through the same amount of story. At least it has better pacing than K-webtoons but it's still too tedious.
