[PG, romance, school life]
TW: internal homophobia, homophobia
It's a plot that has been used a million times over, but i always love Hayakawa Nojiko's works. The writing and art are so good, and I think she did a good job tackling the issue of internal homophobia and the homophobic friend. It's still good rereading this even now.

[18+, Romance, slice of life]
+ friends to lovers
+ manly couple
+ realistic
+ great writing, characters, and development
First BL i've ever read. Two friends re-learning about each other and eventually becoming lovers. So simple with almost no conflict yet it's still my most favorite BL manga ever. Can't say enough how much i love this, it's very close to my heart. Sequel: https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/dear_green/
[PG, university life, rom-com]
+ friends to lovers
+ sweet and light read
Oh man oh man?? Why don't this have a much higher rating? The dynamic of friends to lovers here is EXCELLENT, and the writing is actually good, like the flow of banter and conversation between MCs is natural and entertaining. Makes me miss an era where BL authors actually tried and cared about good storytelling more than drawing porn. Definitely on my re-read list!

Nagisa furuya is the master for shounen ai, and this one is my favorite of hers. Sequel is here http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/kimi_to_natsu_no_naka/

TW: promiscuous behavior, transphobic languange, homophobia, teacher × student (2nd couple)
+ friends to lovers

+ good dynamic between MCs
Two best friends discovered that one of them had a kink and explored it together. Fun and lighthearted.

+ childhood friends/rivals to lovers
+ fun dynamic between MCs
Two budding tailors who were once childhood friends but then grew apart. I really love the atmosphere and the relationship between the characters of this manga.

[PG, rom-com, university life]
TW: stalking, bullying (not between MCs), fat-shaming
+ childhood friends to lovers
+ funny
+ well written
A guy reunited with his childhood neighbor in a rather suspicious circumstances. This webtoon shows us how subjective it is whether the actions of someone are creepy or not.

[PG, slice of life, school life]
GAAH just reread this and i didnt remember it being this painful?? Anyway, friends to lovers unrequited-but-actually-not-unrequited love is a tried and tested trope. Definitely one of if not the best -- and because this is from nagisa furuya, queen of shounen ai, it's even better.
4.5/5
[18+, romance]
TW: obsessive lover, yakuza, pressuring for relationship
+ childhood friends to lovers
+ mature, manly, and badass couple
+ interesting dynamic between MCs
- one of the MCs threatened to stop being the other's friend unless they date.
Middle aged yakuzas with 20 years of mutual pining between them. I thrive for BL mangas with BAMFs. Let me say to you that the MC (kengou) is the hottest man ever. That person has no business being that attractive for a 2D character.
4.5/5
[18+, rom-com]
+ childhood friends to lovers
+ funny and really sweet
+ good communication and healthy relationship
This manga takes bros before hoes to another level lmao. The premise is ridiculous but somehow it works and is even sweet. So entertaining to read.
