It's mainly about two boys, I don't think it's BL/yaoi/shounen ai though, they're both in high school. In that world there are like, monsters or virus things and there are people with special abilities to fight them. There are special fighting forces and one of the MCs wants to get in because he was saved by someone (a girl), who is in it, the other MC is his best friend. Things I remember about it:
One MC is short and the other is tall and strong
For some reason they were in a laboratory when they were young, everyone with a special ability was, they get these bracelet things that help them survive and eventually they don't need them anymore but for some reason the short MC still does. It's powered by something and when it's turned off, he'll get a blood nose and fever and die or something?
Tall MC has an older sister.
They have to do a trial/test to be accepted into the special academy or something, there are other people in the school that are also trying to do in. Tall MC gets hurt in this because he was kicked in the ankle by someone really strong.
Short MC betrays tall MCs trust by telling his secret sometime, but they become best friends again.
A monster broke into the school and the special officers get injured, some students are trapped with them and they can't open the barrier in fear of the monster getting loose.

Looking for isekai, historic, revenge, romance, type of manga/webtoon where the male lead isn't an enemy of the female lead at all. Really sick of ML who are outright dislikeable, awful towards the FL and yet we are supposed to forgive them because he has a sad backstory or regrets his actions etc.
I love when FLs are strong, clever, and scheming, and on equal footing to the ML instead of his slave or something. I love a ML who's a simp instead of a possessive sadist. I like when the ML although being powerful, is able to step back and let the FL run the show instead of thinking she's incapable and weak and he must do everything for her.
It's fine if it's a slow burn romance or the ML is cheeky, just don't like it when he betrays and breaks her trust completely and we're supposed to be fine with it because he's hot.
I didn't enjoy "My Beloved Oppressor" and "It Was Just A Contractual Marriage" for these reasons.
I liked "The Remarried Empress" but I felt as though the FL being pregnant dragged on for wayyy too long.
I also liked "Kill The Villainess", "The Villainess Reverses The Hourglass", "Who Made Me A Princess" and I'm enjoying "Death Is The Only Ending For The Villainess" right now.
