This was a beautifully written bittersweet story that blended reality and fantasy in such a heartwarming way. Reading the scenes of war, the real-world events woven into the story and the parallels to our current reality made me quite emotional and gave me a lot to think about.
As for the main characters and their relationship there wasn’t anything particularly unique about their dynamic it's something we have seen before with them having a rocky start thanks to misunderstandings but they were both well-written and felt human. I grew to appreciate and accept them with all their imperfections by the end because those flaws were ultimately what made them feel so real and relatable.
The plot itself surely isn’t anything particularly new but the way everything is presented makes it feel fresh and engaging enough! It feels like a mix of several different isekai tropes which is probably why it caught my attention. I
There is one thing I’m especially curious about though and I would definitely welcome novel spoilers if there is any!
In this life, it seems pretty obvious that our FL will eventually become entangled with the Crown Prince who is most likely the ML. But wasn’t the whole point of her second life to ensure that the Royal Grandson is born and grows up well as a way of her repentance while also bringing about the downfall of the Empress? She even did all those things at the beginning for the Crown Prince so that the Royal Grandson wouldn’t have to suffer in the future.
But if the Crown Prince ends up getting together with Leona I doubt he would want to marry the Princess right? And even if he did marry her for political reasons I also doubt he would consummate the marriage.
So how exactly is the Royal Grandson supposed to be born??
I just really don’t want this to lead to the same cliché plot where the FL has to push the Crown Prince away or sacrifice her relationship with him just so the child can be born or if they make her give birth to the kid herself like idk...

This manhwa is just so good omg!! But I should have really let it marinate some more cause now I can't contain myself and stop from wondering what will happen next!! So many open fronts, the emperor's uncle and his hidden ambition, the empress's father and his schemes, that princess maid, the love lines...I really hope the siblings and the emperor/empress can find happiness in the end!!
I guess it's time to re-read and savour this rather unique manhwa all over again ~

To sum it up : Today’s chapter was SO good the chemistry between Yeonwu and Rosa was insanely unmatched in this one and Yeonwu asking why she stopped liking him when he saw Jaeon's hickey with puppy eyes has me in a choke hold! Also that basically confirmed to Rosa that he remembers her even though in the past he denied it...I have so many thoughts right now...
Him being confident in his "skills" and saying to Rosa "Does this feel good enough?" with a smirk???!! And her replying "And what if I say it doesn't?" When on the inside she said this was the first time she felt like this (poor Jaeon) lol
Also Jaeon noticed that Rosa might have a crush...Cause he realised in their latest make out session she had her eyes closed(cause she was imagining Yeonwu) and he was all hot and bothered sigh...
Like they are both so freaky and their bander was peak in this chapter... And as I said Yeonwu is definitely not all wasted and he does feel smth deeper for Rosa!
Now imagine when things get better between them and finally communicate and speak about everything to one another... Cannot wait!!
But based on today's chapter I can see how the future BDSM scenes can work well with these two!! The author is already giving us crumbs.

Ikr?? This manhwa has been an absolute rollercoaster from the start! Every chapter leaves you spiraling with new theories and possibilities. The author really knows how to weave everything together so masterfully. The characters are layered and complex, each carrying their own emotional baggage and the twists especially the taboo elements add so much intensity to it. It offers such a compelling and unique perspective.

agree lol. this could have done “cheaply” given the premise and just be another pornhwa but because of the character’s depth (yeonwoo’s tbh) it becomes something else. i look forward to see how the story unfolds
btw i was reading your other comments on this manhwa and i realized how much of a weirdo the mom is. it’s already so weird that out of nowhere she brings a “boytoy” home + her behavior towards yeonwoo at the party (p diddy coded) but coupled with other hints in the manwa i think she really has just been unhinged from the start … we are just getting hoodwinked by rosa’s pov that says something about their closeness
True!! There is definitely MORE to the mother!! At this point it’s pretty clear that her relationship with Yeonwu was built on exploitation and abuse. She literally drugs him as punishment and it didn’t seem like it was a one-time thing either. The power imbalance between them is already disturbing enough and yet she wants her daughter and everyone to believe he’s her future husband? That’s incredibly messed up.
And let’s not forget that Yeonwu was one of the orphans she sponsored at that orphanage. That just adds another layer to how wrong this whole situation was from the start.
Also, when she said she’s “good at fixing problem kids” that immediately made me think of Rosa aside from Yeonwu. Rosa obviously isn’t in a great mental state rn and I can’t help but feel like her mother played a role in that. Even Rosa admitted in her conversation with Jaeon that she questioned her mother’s love. Aside from her monologue about how her mom and her share a close relationship. I think i
To me, Suryeon comes across as someone extremely controlling someone who needs everything to fit her version of how things should be. So honestly, I won’t feel bad at all if Rosa and Yeonwu end up together and mess with her script. I mean you can see how upset she got when Rosa or Yeonwu break out of character and act in a way she didn't predict or want!

I don’t think Yeonwu was as clouded in this scene as some say at least not in the same way he was that night at the party. Suryeon drugged him the night before but by the time Rosa found him, he seemed relatively sober?He was coherent enough to think about Jaeon and connect the dots between him and Rosa just from seeing the shirt and even hold a coherent conversation in the middle of everything unlike that night at the party that everything was a blur.
What confuses me though is the contrast in his reactions. At the party, even while high and being dragged around, he showed very clear signs of trauma with disgust on his face, goosebumps, physically pushing the gardener and that rich woman away. His body language screamed rejection. But with Rosa here there was none of that same visible resistance aside from the verbal one. He didn’t react the same way at all and that makes it questionable...Why couldn’t he push her away the way he did with the others? But ofc by that I don't mean that what Rosa did wasn't pushing his boundaries and leading to non-con.
I just feel like there might be more going on internally especially considering their shared past.
Also his line in today's chapter “Thanks for the help. I will… just think of it like that… so let’s stop here before someone hears” felt less like distress over what was happening and more like concern about being caught and a plead.
And then there’s the moment where he finishes right after Rosa degrades/insults him. It almost seems like he’s developed a response tied to humiliation which could well connect to his past trauma when working at the host bar and the mother’s behavior towards him. Which is sad but also feels like an intentional detail left by the author maybe to explain the future bdsm acts? Idk...
Also another thing I picked up from Yeonwu’s inner monologue in today’s chapter after reading rn it's that after Rosa takes off Jaeon’s shirt and gets on top of him he says “There was a scent. An expensive one… The kind of smell I’ve never once encountered in my trashy life.”
The way I interpreted it is that he notices the scent when Rosa gets closer to him. But what I’m unsure about is whether he’s referring to Rosa’s own scent or the scent lingering from the shirt she was wearing.
It’s kind of tricky and I’m hoping we get more of his inner thoughts in the next chapter to clarify.
Because depending on it this scene could hold different meaning although I do believe he meant Rosa's own scent.
Which suggests that maybe he subconsciously distances himself from her because he sees her as belonging to a world he doesn’t fit into(kinda valid tbh). And considering how much Yeonwu’s mental health has deteriorated over the years that interpretation wouldn’t be surprising.
He said that the scent was fresh, clean, sweet, and expensive, while remembering his encounters with Rosa. Including the first time she slapped him after finding him in her closet holding her bra up. He was just remembering anytime she walked away or by him. So he most likely talking about her scent vs the old lady scents he must have encountered a lot at the host bar. That mixed with sweat and body odor.
Yes kinda went over the fresh and sweet so he is definitely talking about Rosa's scent here not the shirt's. But I don't think he just said that as to compare with the scents of the older women but also like said above I think he is distancing himself because of their social gap? Sort off it gave me that vide...
This definitely needs more volumes! Cannot wait to see how their journey unfolds^^
