This is not a ground breaking plot like some comments said but it's not terrible either.
I do believe it gets dragged for too long (made me quit at around ch 80 but then I came back to finish it). It would have been a more enjoyable read if it were shorter. Perhaps it could also have simplified the plot too.
As it is, it's a bit too complicated "for nothing" imo because the "plot twists" weren’t that surprising. I'm not saying I could have guessed the plot, but just that it was in line with the story. "The manor is cursed! Actually she made a pact! But he did too! And then she did another! And that’s why they were stuck". It just gives a feeling of trying to make it complicated to cover up the lack of depth.
We see a lack of depth in the story, world building, but also the relationships. They're all kind of shallow, they're just not that well written imo. Their obsession for each other is too easy, and the child just does a 180 in one chapter when he learns the truth about his uncle. Likewise we saw a glimpse of the brother's child version but it got dismissed to be replaced by a more simple minded and obsessive brother with impure love.
Honestly I really like that little knight dude. He's funny and as we go on he actually cares about her. It seems like he notices how unfairly she's treated while also acknowledging how flawed she is.
I know she's obsessed with the pretty dude though. But I'm not sure there'd be a happy ending for them
Great slow burn romance with an adorable cast of characters. I'm happy with the end ship, Natsumin is absolutely great and I like that Sunao isn’t half hearted about his feelings. I also love how the story highlights precious relationships even after breaking up. Sometimes a friendship just means that much.
I only have two critiques.
One, the pace was a bit too slow toward the end when the triangle was stuck. They all realized their feelings but spent 10 years just doing nothing.
Second, the ending felt rushed. The time skip was crazy. I'm totally fine with the body swap theory, to me that makes sense. It was over as quickly as it started. It is a supernatural phenomenom afterall. BUT the fact we only got a quick hug from the couple after 105 chapters and then a skip to Lemon oversea being happy is offputting. No reward for the slow burn we read for 105 chapters.
I'm hoping there will be some extras to make up for this.
Ch 104 is so gross to me lol. When Isidore drinks water he has some on his mouth it looks like he drooled. Then Deborah drinks from his hands which is weird as fuck in real life. Is she a bird? And then she also has water dripping from her mouth although now it looks like cum. Anyway I really didn’t find it romantic at all rofl
It's a cute story but the little end-of-the-world-war was soooo boring. It's a trend lately for romance webtoons to add fantasy-adventure with a "big villain". It's always poorly written though. Seriously the aunt was just like "grr grr revive my friend! Argh! Kill empress! Oh no! I guess I was wrong I regret it. Anyway I'm dead now". No depth lol.
But apart from that I liked the characters a lot!

Sooji is such a nice friend but I feel like she doesn’t get much spotlight. She supports everyone but there's no focus on her side at all. She did mention she liked someone else after she found out her crush was gay, but it's never been brought up again. I hope she gets to have the attention she deserves

The story as kids was great, but it got really frustrating as teens. FL created issues in her head and kept crying over spilt milk and acted like separation was the end of the world. Then she was just such a pick me-queen bee-bitch to put in simple terms. She wanted everyone's attention and love but didn’t commit to anyone. She literally dragged it out and toyed with their feelings for years. Every single one of the ML had no reason for staying hung up on her for over 10 years, blossoming from a childhood crush; only Joshua was understandable because he kept staying by her side and they were friends for years.
I guess it's also worth mentionning that Chloe, FL's female friend, served no purpose except for trying to pretend FL made any meaningful connections in her life outside of her childhood. Her whole life is only about 3 guys she met when she was 8. Which just adds to the pick me-queen bee vibes.
The whole arc about war was also uninteresting but somehow every romance fantasy seems to be doing that and drag it out. The fall of the enemy king was also very uninteresting. Just like how the war simply started, he simply died. That part of the story did get some good points back though because the feelings were better developped and explained, and as the FL finally processes everything, we get to have some closure. It took her way too long to get there but at least she did. So overall it was not a very good story, it was too long and the FL sucked for a good chunk of it, but ultimately not the worst type of story either.
Oh but the last part with Freddie reincarnating was so lame though. His death and how FL clung to his words, at first as a wound and then as an encouragement to keep going forward was the most realistic and bittersweet part of the story. She finally accepts that people leave your life sometimes, only for the dead to come back.
After I lusted for Dion so bad, I actually don’t like how he acts like a "stuck up virgin". I'm gonna fish after Adrian now, he seemed interesting
The extra stories are too much. The secret of Abel's birth was dragged on for too long, and now the twist with Ignis is so unnecessary. Some books need to learn when to end
MLs who obsessively wanna investigate FL because of jealousy give me the ick
People are complaining that this is cliché but at least it's entertaining. There's a sea of flop webtoons, all with the same trope and copies of each other, but with no good story telling.
Is it a mary-sue story? Absolutely. Is the revenge isekai original? Of course not. But at least the characters and story telling are entertaining. This webtoon is in the better lot of them. I'm not saying it's incredible but it is certainly not a bad one at all
That's a really nice twist to their relationship. I found it dull before and I couldn’t understand the ML's obsession for FL. But this makes a lot of sense and we can see how similar they are too
I hope it picks up the pace because I wanna continue where it started off with. Honestly I'm rarely a fan of comics that go back before the main event of the first chapters.
