As an Asian, I don't think it's automatically racist to point out that racism and ignorance are real issues in Korea. That's something plenty of Koreans and other Asians acknowledge themselves. I read that part of the post less as "every Korean is racist" and more as "this kind of storyline unfortunately doesn't surprise me given the social attitudes that still exist."

even if they actually meant what you think they meant, they should be called out for using language encourages others to believe that koreans are 'hella ignorant and racist'

Yeah I definitely understand what you mean, I think op just worded it wrong. I don’t think they meant to generalize Koreans as a whole but rather were referring to the ongoing racism in the manhwa community & how most Korean authors tend to be are ignorant when it comes to things like racism. (Plus they aren’t really wrong about this specific author, she’s been making snarky remarks on twitter to excuse her recent work.)

While I will admit that, it's definitely misplaced given the seriousness of the thread and I do concede my faults. This was an extension of me misinterpreting OP's og comment at generalizing every Korean as ignorant and racist (to which many ppl have pointed out as bad wording)
