whatever the hells going on that we dont know about scares me in a way you even cant imagine
as parts of the plot reveal themselves and slowly get pieced together, i realize white genoa was not an outlier, and in fact a short demonstration of this author's sick penchant for masking a curve ball of an excruciating tale built on pain, despair, and everything unfair. my poor, sick hima has been given the worst fucking hand where his lover hates his true identity, his friend was brainwashed into hating him, and his brother that he gave everything up to protect, in turn, was misled into hating his guts and now wishes for confirmation of his death while serving (likely, sexually) the very man who made their and everyone else's life hell on the last remaining pieces of society on this earth. all of this not even mentioning the terrible future shown in the first few chapters where hima has relinquished the last remaining pieces of himself to be eaten, raped, and abused just to bring back some food for his lover, WHO DOESNT EVEN APPRECIATE IT AND BELIEVES HIS 'STRONG' FRONT, GUIDING HIM COLDLY WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING NOT ONLY HOW MUCH HE HAD GONE THROUGH BUT ALSO GIVEN UP THEN AND NOW TO ENSURE THE CHAINS THAT BOUND HIM HIS WHOLE LIFE WOULDNT ENSLAVE THE ONE HE LOVES MOST TOO.

having been spoiled, i know that what ian is doing might not be right but my heart hurts so much for him. the comment section contains a lot of anti-ian sentiment but i think its impossible to hate him. michelle is sweet and well-intentioned, but god do i wish the top was someone more competent that would take revenge on everyone that hurt ian and properly love and heal this poor boy
this current situation is probably the worst it can be. because michelle has no idea what his father did, everything that he says to ian just makes his case worse. the art gives a lot away too once you’re looking for it

Sorry I read the novel and at the end of the story Michelle has no living family anymore. His second brother gets offed by Ian. Michelle had nothing to do with it.

The ending is good and MC and ML are happily married, though ML kept most of his dark past hidden and MC simply learns the watered-down version. But they are together.

theory, or not really i guess since i'm just piecing everything that was already said.
according to c45, jin saw kimoto's potential being wasted because he followed, and thus limited himself for, tehir. this is really interesting because we see jin fall into the same situation after getting expelled from the daycare: following and convincing himself to idiocy for charin. the two links i can think of for these mirrored circumstances are that tehir and charin's biologies themselves hold some sort of fatal attraction to the primordial demon, or if after seeing the brain/kimoto's behavior to get accepted by society/the daycare, the heart/jin decided to copy it to get accepted from society OR even to seek approval from the brain (<-- this is more of a stretch, as the manga explicitly mentioned the caretaker's last words as the only thing jin remembered, but still a fun theory nonetheless!).
one more really interesting thing that i've been trying to keep track of are the heavy role that genetics play in this story. again with the parallel relationships, we can see tehir and charin both struggling a lot with insecurities and forming an obsessive dependence on kimoto and jin respectively (or in tehir's case, both) to boost their self-esteem and not get swallowed by their unique mental and physical constitutions. (tehir and charin both struggle with the exact same feelings of worthlessness actually, feeling like the true person that jin discovers is pathetic, or "nobody".)
it's still so hard for me to figure out whether it's the genetics or the determination to follow and place themselves under tehir/charin that limit kimoto/jin, but i'm leaning towards genetics because of the specific way hyehan phrased it in their fight, saying: "the way he moves...it's nothing like before. but nothing changed...except for the fact that he's been away from charin for a while...to put it in a conditional statement...if charin is near...then he becomes weaker. ergo...charin makes him weak? but why?" to which jin answers: "without capo...there ain't nobody who can decide what i've gotta do." part of it could just be the way hyehan speaks and views the world, but it sounds like when he refers to charin its not charin as he is as a person, but charin as he is as a genetic signal to the primordial demon to submit to the king (charin's demon alter ego, another theory? maybe another time).

personally for such intricate plots like this, i'd much rather be handed out how everything unfolds through the storytelling itself but i also can't help but appreciate theorizers/analysts bc they rarely miss the details. your perspective on this is really interesting

I agree with everything you said, but for their relationship I mostly chalked it up as mere circumstances I mean who would've thought Jin would end up and meet Tahir's brother or any person that displays inferiority complexes. Tahir and Kimoto though is more unique and quite deals with what you've said. Anyways, I think it would be interesting of old Jin comes back, I wonder what he'll do. Would he "save" kimoto from Tahir? Go back and confront Tahir? Or incorporate itself with the new Jin?
So many possibilities, with equally compelling stories. although there is one thing I disagree and believe in the most. 1. Disagree with Kimoto that Jin won't change and that the doormat demon that's made with his foundation will resurface once he gets his memories back, and 2. Regarding my questions earlier, I believe that even if he gets his memories back, I don't think Jin would easily go back to his old sociopathic self, instead like us, molded with his life with the black dogs/wolves(?), change being something better than Kindergarten Jin and Thug Jin. A better change perhaps, as he experienced something not even his classmates have. Content of a simple life with friends.
Or idk, I just sound cheesy. Honestly Screen is pretty fucked up.
hi! i read this so long ago and forgot pretty much everything except the heavy emotional baggage i felt while reading it. if anyone could help jog my memory so i can enjoy the epilogues with minimal damage that would be much appreciated
ML suffers from delusions. He cope up himself by imagining a friend and he yearn for his friend. One day he realises that his friend is no more, so he finds someone to replace him.(our mc)
Ride of emotional roller coaster, MC finds out what ML was doing, he rejects him straight out (huge shout out to his self respect.) ML redemption and he realises that his friend was his delusion. He never had that friend. The one he only ever truly loved is the MC, he only imagined his friend to cope up himself because of his loneliness. (There's a term for this syndrome but idk what it is.)
Later on they talk have communications and settle. I say this is such a brilliant story for me. I really enjoyed it so much. Although there was slight angst and scenes where i almost gave up reading and screaming at the ML, overall it was a good experience.
Read it long time ago, I thought they uploaded side chapters but it was just official translations
