I'm confused, it says tbc in the end so there's more right? but on the official publication site (booklive) it says "[Single Chapter] You can say you like me, you know? Extra Chapter: Half of my dissatisfaction" --which is odd since this is a manga and it's usually published per volume, not chapter. Is this really it for the spinoff?
This has a puppy type seme, but unlike most who are basically just simps for the uke and grade-A doormats for the toxic pos MCs, this one actually feels genuinely like a healthy ,normal real life person- he expresses his emotions clearly and was willing to set boundaries if it crosses his own comfort zone. The MC, although did not have much character development was still willing to compromise and actually do something on his issues in the end. Too bad there's no side stories for this one and it's too short, but it is a satisfying read for me.
Also to those curious about the issue with the author- they were bombarded with hate coz k-pop fans claim the uke's design was based off an idol, which one- who dafuq knows? this is the issue when stars look like one another, their delulu fans really believe their bias is the inspo when they're just one of the many modified dolls of the industry, molded by the same plastic surgeons LOL
If ur looking for angst or drama, you won't find it here, I assume it's why it's rated quite low since there's not enough tension to pull you in, even I got a bit bored in some panels. But it's not a bad read, matter of fact, it's very chill and easy. The entire plot just revolves around the MC contemplating and discovering that he's into the ML, that's it, there's no third party things since it's already obvious (for readers) that the feeling is mutual from the get-go. Very chick-flicky type of yaoi that you read when you're in a good mood and want to continue being in a good mood
Coz that dick redraw was one of, if not the funniest shii that I've seen in this site and I'd hate to associate it to a work that's actually decent. Honestly, I was laughing throughout the entirety of the work only coz of that, matter of fact I'm putting tab on this story for when I'm feeling down and need a laugh, so thank you for the effort and the unintentional way that you saved (?) this work
I dig their trope and dynamic so hard that I often go back to this work just to reread their chapters and to check if the author finally fleshed out their story in a spinoff. Anyone knows if the author has intentions to pursue it? or if anyone has any recommendations to a similar pairing/trope- please spill, it would be immensely appreciated.
I like twinks alright, and I get pretty annoyed when commenters say a twink character looks like a minor when they're just drawn skinny and small, BUT for this one, this isn't a twink at all, it's a literal kid, his design looks like when the authors make chibi versions or childhood flashbacks of a character except it's the default here, it's not even due to artstyle either coz clearly the artist can draw a grown ass looking man based off the top's design.
Only way to salvage this is to make it a bit supernatural and give the uke an ability to "grow up" and change appearance like some magical girl plot, but then again this could be intentional for varying reasons - a. creator's a pedo, b. creator's catering to pedos, or c. creator's trying to create bad publicity by pulling in pedos + people who will call this shit out.
for someone as desperate as ML to still have some type of relationship and skinship with MC while still trying to "solve" the issue that he raised, this is a good plotpoint specially for his character profile that's impulsive and stubborn; the reason why ya'll can't see it that way is coz ur minds are that of a BL reader or maybe ur queer yourselves so seeing 2 guys act this way, the first thing you'll think of is they're gay, but to a str8 person (wc majority of people are btw) this really is typical, this is why the gay or european notion is even a thing, also why even in china and other homophobic countries you still see gay people and even couples frolicking around- it's coz acting sweet is automatically presumed to be a joke between "brothers" or "sisters" the only way to tag yourself as gay is if you say it yourself or if there's tremendous evidence showing you fucking or giving bj/hj to another guy or gal. I mean just look at BL actors, don't you find it odd that when they do fanservice the "fans" eat that shit up like there's tomorrow but when they actually announce that they are gay (not bi), they are harrassed and even blacklisted for it?
otherwise we'd have been deprived of knowing this gem of a work. There's so many subverse works out there and it's rare for me to find one that I actually like enough to finish reading. I can tell the author really put effort to the plot and character drives for this one, but then again I also liked their other work so maybe I just like their style in general.
Both leads work so well because they are practically two sides of the same dog- you have the seme who's a more stoic, wolf-like type that's mostly associated with those alpha bs narrative, and then you have the more assertive and playful uke that's more typical to your derpy pet dog. I like that they are both simps for one another and the story shows it well despite both characters having contrasting personalities, I think the author succeeded in making a fairly balanced dynamic not just it terms of power but also affection, which makes this such an easy and satisfying read. I hope this gets enough demand so author can create several volumes out of this work for years ahead.

I thought the low rating was coz it's too fckd up for most readers but it's really just lukewarm for psychological, honestly it's just an obsessed top and an uke who's in denial with his obsession, there was an implied realization (I think?) near the end but it was so meh, I can't freaking feel the chemistry which is shocking since I like freak x freak trope. Might've been better if the seme offed himself and we see how that affects the uke, make him feel the weight of loss, ykno? since he didn't feel that for his ex-wife. I don't even know what the ending was, looks like they just returned to their HS setup except they're fcking now
which is insane, cuz people will love the shit out of dark fall and the like..
atleast here they're both consenting adults
is dark fall even psychological? thought it was just "dark romance" wc explains the rape and humiliation kinks, I mean a lot of psycho works also has that but in the few chapters that I read of that work, I didn't took it as psychological since the MLs are too polished and the plot romanticized enough to make it palatable to a wider audience (hence why it's popular)
