(Rewrote this topic cos it got cut off the first time)
The art is so pretty, I especially love how the author draws such good expressions through their eyes, but I say it isn’t that well-written pertaining to the spy/undercover agent aspect of the story. Yes, this mission is above his qualifications, but I think it’s basic to have a sense of caution and danger which I think Taekjoo lacks and is pretty important to his profession. He divulges information/observations too easily to strangers and trusts too much knowing all too well that his partner is a powerful, violent, crazy, and sadistic russian man. Other things I didn’t like was the straight sex cos I definitely did not come here for that and I’ve also been lightly spoiled by the comments so I’m not sure if I have the heart to continue and see what becomes of Taekjoo in the end.
This manhwa got so frustrating after the earlier half of season 2. I wouldn’t call this slow burn anymore if they’re taking a step back whenever they take a step forward or not take a step at all. Their relationship is losing momentum and it’s like the author is just avoiding to address the problems in their relationship by choosing sex as a band-aid solution and introducing other drama that’s probably not as relevant to the hyunsoo and youngchan’s relationship.
I agree. I re-read it because I was confused about their relationship status. Its like one problem after another for Hyunsoo. First the ex team drama, then the mom drama now this. He is a strong likeable character why must the author show him as helpless with youngchan swooping in again and again to 'save' him.
Imo, this manhwa is like one of the few I consider 'a breath of fresh air' because 1) the farming/countryside theme in stories aren't very common; 2) the flow of the story/plot is very good; and 3) could this story even get more adorable? All the characters are so likeable (except for in suh, even if they resolved everything in the end). Damn I'm really happy I stumbled upon this and although I'm hoping this would stay as shounen-ai, I wouldn't be mad if it becomes more than that as well.
Man I really loved this story when it first came out and it has so much potential (I even rated it 5 stars lol) but I didn’t really expect the author to take the male leads with toxic, noncon tendencies route, especially with kael. Ngl I was a duke lowe girlie (visual bias reasons) but mister has got to stop non-consensually touching my boy JINSOO DESERVES BETTER he might as well just go to the wolf knight
