I remembered reading this a few years back and waiting for updates but I stopped reading bl completely, but recently while checking my lists I found this has been completed and I obliged; I was super curious too because the reviews show that most people didn't like it and like always, it just shows that people don't appreciate dark, psychological BL enough even when they're properly made. The last time I read it, I remembered it being fire AND IT STILL IS. Idk why people are so pooped by the ending, it's not even bad? Was it the most groundbreaking ending in the world? No, I had a hunch after Noah confessed he was posessing a body to Dylan, lil bro was too obsessed with Noah because of the stockholm syndrome. BUT it's an ending befiting a dark, psychological body of work did y'all really think they would have a happy ending? The only comments I have is that I missed the S1 art style it was so cute and unique + would have liked there to be a more ominous build up to him getting locked up, but the way the author did it was still fine it's like those scenes wherein you don't expect the character would be hit by this so on and so forth.
Anyway, fire smut, fire angst, fire romance, this is still BL, I enjoyed it very much.
I don't think I'll be officially rating this because I have some bias and I don't wanna add to the lower reviews. I watched the LA before reading the manga but the LA was a bit too cheesy/corny for me so I went to the source material and maybe that would help me out, but I found it to be the same I feel mean but I don't really like the actor for Kaneda just because the visual is so different from manga Kaneda though he still does have the essence of manga Kaneda. Now, I know manga is supposed to make you go doki doki within the first volume/first 6 chapters so the pacing didn't irk me too much, but compared to other short manga I guess they did go a bit faster than usual. Like I said probably biased this was too corny for me and their angst just gave me sad boy vibes which >< but anyway, if I were to rate with probable bias, it would be a 3 for me; I don't hate it but not smth I would recommend. Props to the author because this is a different setting and environment from other manga that I am used to.
Dude the miscommunication and misunderstanding trope has reached peak levels with this one, but not in annoying way (well sometimes), but while you read you look at the characters in awe because how could they be so dense and stupid when everything’s just so obvious. Literally, Jigu’s head went far far away about whatever he was thinking about Yeowoon, while Yeowoon was too oblivious to the innuendos for it to seem less believable. To sum it up, they both dumb bitches that are meant to be together good lord they still my babies tho. Personality-wise, I’m sorry I really love dumb bitches fr, but I like how Yeowoon just did a complete 180 with all the teasing and stuff after he found out about Jigu being ji9star and he’s just so sassy and cheeky I LOVE IT. Jigu still stayed Jigu, but I still have to emphasize DUMB, putting his trauma aside which led him to have those scenarios in his head.
For the story itself, I mean of course it was interesting mosty because of how the author really immersed us in how their online game looks, works, and feels like, I feel like they just really wanted to make cute chibi drawings xD I was def hurting for Jigu when he was just waiting for YW to confess and ask him out while we know at that moment he wasn’t, like “aww ur fault for blowing things out of proportion, but I also feel VERY VERY sorry for you please don’t get hurt” type shit. How the author wrapped the conflict up (the massive misunderstanding w the bdsm/perv thing + YW liking Jigu + YW finding out Jigu is ji9star) was okay, I wasn’t like mind-blown not like there was some huge plot twist, but it felt easy. Nothing’s wrong with that though! They wrote it properly, I guess I just didn’t feel that satisfied after the rollercoaster of feelings I went through reading this manhwa; nonetheless, it doesn’t take away that this manhwa is great overall and such a fun read, I’m gonna miss them, mostly YW >< but if we’re being so fr, if Jigu was incarnated as a real human being, he kind of would be a nightmare to date even with that face so props to YW for loving him no matter what
ALSO IM SORRY BUT YW SRSLY GIVES TOP VIBES, NOT EVEN POWER BOTTOM AT ALL esp after he did the spanking jfc and yes this is regardless of Jigu’s typical seme build.
Finally coming back to this after putting it on hold, but it was just as good as I remembered it being (had to restart from the firsr chapter again tho). Art, ambience, comedy, plot, and characters were seriously all perfection. I also just like how the whole issue about Dahyeok/Minhyeok finding out about Taeman/In-yul's killer life was handled; that situation was really appropriate to both of their character's personalities and I really like that (not all manhwas stay true to their characters' personalities and only wrap the problem up for the sake of wrapping them up iykyk).
I like ALL the characters, though Seolho def got on my nerves a bit towards the end but ofc it was important he acted out for the plot. Woulda been nice if boss and Seolho got together but at the same time I am still satisfied w whatever they got going on atm I don't think boss will just let Seolho win him over that easily. I hope the author does kinda touch on em in the side chapters or maybe create a spin-off.
The antagonists were FUNNY, I liked them so much because they just like cute, sparkly things + stickers, I couldn't really hate them at all, I just loved whatever they got going on lmfao.
Only thing I am disappointed in was no smut
I’ve been putting off reading this for a long time only because Taejun looks like a fricking gigolo + in manga format with over 50+ chapters (yes yes I’m actually pretty lazy), but the reason I landed here was because of the author’s other work titled Melting Point, which I am totally enamoured with right now. Since I really liked that one, I gave this a try and I didn’t regret it.
Ofc I will be addressing the elephant in the room, they’re both gorg but Taejun’s just super super gorg af. Biased w characters that have his visual and type of personality, but they both just worked so well together. The author really handled their main problem after getting together really well and they didn’t just make the problem go away with a just a few words and time so I was really satisfied when they got back together because you could see how much effort Wony gave in order to win Taejun back. And ofc even before they got together, all their little moments trying to get with the other was just so cute I could die— truly one of the most adorable couples in BL.
I loved the side couple too tho, Hotae made me a laugh because he’s so smitten with Donghee that he learned Spanish to turn into a Latino, like babes that’s not how it works but okay
I don’t really have anything else to say about this manhwa because it’s almost perfection. Good ass drama, comedy, and plot. It is mostly implied smut before the side chapters but the side stories do have the mature versions of the censored scenes also.
Tbh I saw this on tiktok and was pretty excited to read it only because of Geon falling in love with Suoh despite not being conventionally attractive, but everything was just too rushed; the pacing isn’t the worst I’ve seen but it still felt pretty bad and messy while reading through it which obviously sucks because I think this could have been a really nice manhwa.
At the chapter I stopped, ch 25, there was no particular reason as to why I stopped there but I just got bored (though I was already bored a few chapters back). A body of work can definitely have flaws but u gots to be selective about which flaws ure going to allow. The author tried to introduce different problems mostly related with Geon being a semi-closeted gay and all that which is fine but it’s just so plain and usual with BL that makes it so boring but ofc that is my personal opinion (as a queer person also, just such an overrated plot device like just treat being gay normal mam, I agree w Suoh). Another issue I have is that Suoh falls so flat in comparison to Geon, like I know we’re reading this thru the perspective of Geon but bro doesn’t seem like the ML aside from his crazy horniness; the way the author wrote and drew him at first, it didn’t even seem like he was gonna be sex-crazed and kinky which just added more to my dislike for him (but I do agree he cute tho). Also it would have been nice if Suoh just made a bit of drama after he saw Geon at the gay bar.
Anyway, it’s not that deep but will not be continuing even if there might be a heartwarming event coming in the next chapters.
I started reading this manhwa when it first started and just came back to it now; admittedly I don’t remember all of the details/happenings before chapter 44, but what I did know is that I definitely enjoyed the start and was really into the comedic aspect of the manhwa while also actually having a plot (the time I started reading this, I was just being bombarded w content that was just smut and no plot at all which sucked).
And of course spoiler alert: Jinsoo ended up with Carsen !! And as the title of my post says I was actually rooting for him. Tbf, I had a strong feeling they would end up together but I was usually let down w these types of harems and they wouldn’t end up with the guy I was rooting for.
Now of course, I definitely acknowledge Carsen is problematic as hell, I was rooting for him but at the same time I’d just think to myself: “the fuck are u doing?” I’m def just biased for the visuals lol. But the problematic aspect aside, I still liked how the manhwa was very in depth with his character. He had this whole angsty background with his parents and that’s why he became the person that he is today (again doesn’t excuse his SA towards Jinsoo). I really did also appreciate the backstory regarding his strong connection with the OG Maythan, but this proved to be a huge con with regards to the development of Jinsoo and Carsen’s relationship in the other universe. It sucked because I was happy they got together but why is bro having flashbacks about OG Maythan when Jinsoo is right there. Bro’s heart is just not that IN IT. Idc if author wrapped it up anyway with him acknowledging Jinsoo in the end, it wasn’t enough!
As for Kael and Cedric, they were the same with Carsen, both of their characteristics and traits were very well-explained in the story, and I guess they were both likable; if I didn’t have bias for Carsen, of course I would pick Cedric. ALL THE WAY. 100% BEST BOY. Ngl I def would have wanted to see an alternate ending for both of them but alas that would only happen in a perfect world.
Special shoutout to my girls Yuriel and Rosie tho, I’m happy there was yuri here AND THEY’RE SO ADORABLE TOO, love that for them.
Last but not least, I also have to agree with the others here in the comment section, Jinsoo was just not as fleshed out as the other characters. He’s just there as an MC, but aside from thinking he died because he fked w his sister’s otome game, all he really has to his personality is being a kind dude/empathetic and that’s really it. Basically MC did not feel like an MC but just a supporting character even if the story was under his perspective.
There are definitely issues with the manhwa, but it was genuinely still an enjoyable read for me.
I really am… questioning the thought process of these two because they are so silly especially jigu I know he’s prolly like that because of trauma but seems like dude is just a natural tsundere lmao; while yeowoon is just a pure soul that thinks nothing bad of jigu. I NEED AN UPDATE SOON I’M SO INVESTED AND I WANT TO SEE THEM TOGETHER NOW !! Also bad for my health that jigu is too hot.
Ji Gu’s it’s a natural tsundete cause his trust issues are SO BAD. And he has the worst thought process ever.

They actually mention that he is a tsundere in the book! Yeowoon is playing a Visual novel / Dating Sim (to get closer to Ji Gu ) and Yeowoon is terrible at the game. Ji Gu starts playin to help him and automatically goes for the tsundere character, and it’s wining him over. And then Yeowoon mentions how he looks like Ji Gu and that he (Ji Gu) is also a tsundere

Bro keeps complaining about being a dumbass but still continues to be a dumbass... leave him or leave us out of it (yh just give jaehee to us u damn abuser ;;;)
