Hi so, this is what I think happens, sometimes an artist and writer will get into an agreement for the artist to adapt the writer's book/story into a manga/hwa/hua
and Ion know how profit share is debated or anything like that.
Other times, a manga/hwa/hua publication line will personally reach out to an author whose book is gaining popularity and ...... reply
Once I was about to read a manga and in the author's note at the very beginning, the author was apologizing for writing rape stories, saying how they don't condone rape but they only write it cuz it sells...it sounded so pathetic, and so true.
