Trigger Warning : Rape, Child Rape (since they are in school), Incest
Just plain disgusting. Couldn't go past Page 5. Disgusting family like this is enough to ruin a child's life.
Also, again with the one brother having black hair and the other having blond. And somehow the blond is being abused. This is a recurring trend in BL. Light haired uke stereotype ensues. Twisted case of Racial domination and fetishism.
Honestly I would be creeped out (putting it very lightly) if I had a family member who has such thoughts.
Even in this case, even if the brother doesn't know what he is thinking and did not act on it, who's to say he won't actually act on it in the near future. The way it's described in the introduction implies that has some serious issues, and needs to be locked up away from the brother.
I don't understand what author is thinking. This is serious rape fetishism.
If you know about UX which means User experience, anything which follows the flow does not stand out. If you want something to stand out make it different. The uploaders has three warning pages, which actually follow the same theme. Pink with blue text. It's not glaringly obvious and also since most uploaders put warnings of not uploading the work somewhere even for the manga which seriously need Trigger warning, I have long since stopped reading it. That's the reason I was advocating for a separate section for Trigger Warnings which is glaringly obvious (if you have not seen the other comments).
Secondly, I no where said anything about the uploader, forget about complaining.
And I put a Trigger Warning when I comment on a work which needs these. Nothing specific about this work. It's my freedom, I don't see how that is causing you any pain.
Coming to the title implying incest, I was actually condemning the child rape (fetishism) part, and that too from a family member. No where did I talk about other cases of incest/ half-incest/ adopted incest etc. That's a different topic altogether.
And finally, there is something called as leaving an opinion in the form of a comment and condemning wrong things, may be read about it?
Absolutely love this work. BL with actual plot. Or more like a good story with BL :) Love the plot, story building and character development.
Small things have a plot of their own. Once I read the sub plot I could connect it to the small reference or object in the main plot. And these sub plots are not there just for the heck of it (I can't help but think of Great god Airplane here (lol)). They have meaning and carry emotional significance (which help in character development) or are very essential to the main plot itself.
The character development of Xie Lian is tremendous. From a naïve crown prince who is not aware of how world works to a scrap collector god who, despite being aware of the ugly side of the world could still keep his core values. And Taihua.. same as his master.. Refuses to discard his core values.
Just every character has a story and significance. Like in real life. We might not think some one is important and that is true from certain perspectives. But seeing the whole picture, everything is interconnected.
Love the comedy as well. I found it hilarious that Mu Qing and Feng Xin tried to rescue Xie Lian from Hua Cheng saying he has been stalking him (so true). Also the part where Goushi calls Hua Cheng scary. "He’s been stalking you for eight hundred years!
Scary, too scary! My fortunes really are too accurate!" (lol). Though I tend to agree, the devotion is real. And Xie Lian doesn't seem to mind, so that's what matters I guess.
Both Xie Lian and Hua Cheng are strong and don't interfere with the other's fight for no reason.
I read the novel while listened to the One Flower One Sword track and that somehow elevated the experience for me!!!
Translating the alpha omega dynamic into men-women dynamic.. if a guy is born beautiful he becomes a girl/women? By this logic, with the number of babies who are born with beautiful features there should not be more than a few boys/men in this world. ( ̄へ ̄)
And that disgusting brother. He is insinuating that he wants to help him with his so called heat.
Absolutely love this work. BL with actual plot. Or more like a good story with BL :) Love the plot, story building and character development.
Both Lan Zhan and Wei Ying are strong characters. They acknowledge each others strengths and don't think of the other as weak just for showing some weakness in some moment of their lives (Sorry.. this is me bringing my baggage from Shh! My Dear Alpha here.. I just wrote a review for that novel). They fight together in the later stages and both are strong in their chosen cultivation path. Lan Zhan does not interfere when he knows Wei Ying can handle it and vice versa. He lends a hand when needed. Yes mutual respect exists.
Lan Zhan is a strict top (yeah, this is a thing in real world and not just a figment of imagination of authors) and Wei Ying a kinky? bottom. And this is also why I like the BL in this. The couple does not have to be a switch couple for both of them to be strong. An uke can be strong too. And being an uke does not make one weak or does not define their personality. Same goes for seme (with what ever baggage the word seme entails).
And Chinese (Asians) having dark hair as they are supposed to (ಥ◡ಥ). And not uke having light hair for some stupid reason. The best..
I read this novel after Pay Attention To Me. Was fascinated with the physically strong omega character. But there are a few things I did not like about this novel.
Firstly Shaoyan (omega) is looking for an alpha with strong pheromones even if that person is a jerk (Zou Rui). He actually likes Wang Zhe (alpha) but still does not act on it initially because of his weak pheromones. This at least is understandable since in this universe, an omega would die if they do not get proper pheromones during their first heat. Even with this life threatening condition he still chooses Wang Zhe pretty quickly.
Now to the point which greatly disappointed me. This part in the novel
"Jiang ShaoYan fundamentally was not as strong as everyone thought.
Even though he had a buffer physique and stronger fighting ability than the average omega, could he win against two alphas at once? In the end, he was still an omega."
This is from the POV of Wang Zhe.
Throughout both novels we are shown that Shaoyan is both physically and mentally strong. He can and actually does defend himself from alphas. This particular scenario happens when Shaoyan goes out and for some reason his suppressants stop working. He is attacked by 3 alphas lead by Zou Rui (the jerk). Wang Zhe after not seeing for a while, becomes worried and starts looking for him while thinking this. And guess what Shaoyan actually does defend himself successfully here, though he gets injured in the process. Wang Zhe then confronts Shaoyan after finding him and tells him to delay things if such scenario ever happens again and that he would definitely come protect him.
Yeah.. yeah.. some might find this very romantic, but this is impractical. So what.. does he expect to always follow Shaoyan everywhere he goes? Or does he expect Shaoyan to not go out of his house anymore to stay safe? Or does he plan to put a tracker on him like a creep? I understand in scenarios where there is a choice it's better to accept help and fight together, but what about when there is no other choice like in this case? Should he have submitted to Zou Rui and be r@ped. Like what... Defending one self is wrong now..
And cherry on top, even before knowing that Shaoyan's suppressants were not working and was injured he has these thoughts about him being weak. I am not saying him worrying about Shaoyan when is in heat is wrong. Everyone has weakness at some point in life. What I am pissed of about is him degrading Shaoyan as being weak and just an omega when he himself has seen his strength many times. Where is the confidence and trust?
You might want to protect your loved ones. Even if they are strong. You don't want them to be harmed. Nothing wrong with that. But don't talk about them in such demeaning manner. Don't undermine their strength just to satisfy your protective instincts.
This especially got me since Wang Zhe is shown to be a very devoted alpha in Pay Attention To me. And the comments in that manhua/novel suggested that there is no better alpha than him. But reading this part, I can't bring myself to respect him and think of him as the best alpha there is.
Trigger Warning - Child Abuse
Spoilers ahead
Loved the novel. This has a very unique and interesting plot.
Che Che went through a lot and is going through a lot. Jiang Yao helps him through that. He might come of as a playboy and may be he is for some part, but he is a very devoted, and responsible person. Absolute green flag.
Though I still cannot understand not letting the parents of patient (who is a minor) know about the child's health condition due to law? Which civilization is actually thinking that the children (10 year old) can make decisions for themselves? This is very illogical.
So Qi Wang Zhi (seme) is an alpha who was raised as a girl during his childhood?
Then when he disguised himself as black haired guy to meet Sheng, he turned himself into an omega? Or did he meet him as an Alpha?
Present day he is an Alpha, so he turned himself into an Alpha again?
Or was he an omega at birth and changed himself into an Alpha?
Or he never changed his secondary gender and met Sheng (while disguised as dark haired guy) as an alpha.
Are secondary genders assigned at birth in this manhua or at a certain age? Could he have met Sheng (as dark haired guy) when he was not assigned a secondary gender, and then he became an Alpha?
I wish I understood this. Read the whole thing but still some parts make no sense.
This bl is more on flashbacks, that's why its kinda confusingly, the author also didn't specify or do any warnings, it made it more confusing. But if you think deep on it and read the other stories it be more understandable. And their thoughts also are more on riddle, while reading this, I was also confused
After reading this again, I can say it is definitely not because I did not read the other manga. Most of the explanation required is already provided in this in the form of flashbacks.
I think the main issue was the long hiatus for me. It became very confusing to keep track of the story. After re-reading, I can make sense of a lot of stuff I was confused about before.
But I still felt that the dialogs did not make sense in some scenes. Like who is thinking/talking about who and such.
Truly respect teachers like these 2, who not only provide good academic education but also provide moral support to their students.
Love that Yanagi who is an omega and understands the difficultly of being an omega in a world where discrimination is rampant, reassures his student that he will support her. And Asanaga talks about ways to deal with alpha ruts and supporting them. Both encourage their students to break the barriers of sexes and see each other for who they are.
This encouraged the other teachers to pitch in as well.
Wonderful read. Breath of fresh air after reading a lot of $hi!t lately.
Also, taller uke and shorter seme, and the taller one did not turn out to be light haired. Averted Light haired uke stereotype. Awesome.
I don't quite understand the inner workings of the aunt though. Like why would you neglect a child, when you feel that you were responsible for his parent's death.
Ehehe right? ( ∩ˇ ᴗ ˇ∩)♡
About Chinatsu-san,
I know a thing or two about guilt. I do.
And I really see her and feel her…
Guilt makes you do seriously counterproductive things. It’s a difficult cycle of
feel guilty > do wrong things > feel guiltier > fucking up again cause you’re so consumed by the guilt you can’t see what’s in front of you > fucking up > feeling guiltier > guiltier > guiltier until it’s just become its own living and breathing thing, like a curse on your shoulder lol.
Hmm. I really feel her…
And it’s because she was confused that everyone around her was confused.
Tsuguya, who got the kind of response which he did,
His struggles became way too much to handle for someone of his age, no matter a child first and an adult later, because the aunt was actually confused, but nobody knew that.
So yeah, confusion’s definitely got the dirtiest hands here.
And you’re saved by clarity.
You’re saved by clarity. (You: the aunt, the guilt’s host)
Does anyone know what happened to Yokozawa No baai novel? Was Volume 7 ever released?
