Yes, he's definitely desperate to be useful. His mental state wasn't good even before all this. His compatibility with Jaeil is high, and the results are good, but... aren't they supposed to be better? The pressure is immense. Sanada and his unknowing heart situation are a perfect example of what it is to be a teenager, where you know your heart but you're still trying to figure out what it means and why it means that way. I do believe that Sanada might think he loves Misuzu, and he might, but I think it comes from a place where they also never had a chance, even as friends. I do think friendship fits them, but I do think Misuzu trying to force it to happen is what's causing more of this misdirected feeling into a place they shouldn't be to begin with. Misuzu and Kitahara are a perfect match for each other and can stand in this storm, but I also want to see Sanada be truly happy in whatever form or way that is, even if they can't be in each other's life or friends.
