I feel like the writing for this comic has started to feel lazy. It's definitely hard to describe... the first season just felt so much different, more fresh. The social dynamics felt more connected, even the world felt more magical.
Then again, this could just be because the scale of everything is so much bigger now, so there isn't as much focus on the small details?
Actually, yeah. I think because we have SOOO many things going on (off the top of my head: Sejun trapped in the tower, Theo's merchant journey, rebuilding the bunny kingdom, Iona's nightmares, the pests, the businessman who wants to replicate Sejun's tomatoes, the dynamic of dragons between towers, and now the fact Sejun might be able to travel between towers), it feels like ADHD because dialogue gets to truncated and cut off at times by other imposing characters.
I understand this but can’t explain it either. I’m still seeing slice of life but it’s kind of.. forced? In the beginning, I liked it for the cute animals and the dynamics between them. However, now it honestly feels like human interaction but dressed up as animals
I just think it would’ve been better to keep it as slice of life entirely. The political aspects and serious side stories that suddenly became the main focus - it made the story feel like a drag to read. Especially since everyone started reading this for a comfort atmosphere

Every night, before I go to sleep, I kneel at the foot of my bed and clasp my hands together in prayer -- like a devout puritan child -- and I ask the heavens.... "Please, may I forget about this Manhwa for approximately 2 calendar years so I can let it marinate instead of obsessively rereading it over and over again".... and every morning I awaken, and the heavens are silent

honestly read the free ones on webtoon lol, its far enough for that, but once the main story plot ends, which you can tell when it does, i suggest you should stop bc after that it switches lanes quick storywise, im in too deep to turn back lol

I'm glad I let this one marinate. It's not the most... engaging writing? Somehow the character relationships fall a bit flat, and there's also somehow very little tension in the story. So it ends up creating a very relaxed atmosphere, even though it has action themes.
Honestly though, I don't mind it. It's like if dungeon crawling and saving the world was actually just a cozy little group adventure instead of the usual "one man gains some cheat advantage and becomes The Man Ever" (which, I also enjoy, so I'm not dissing it LOL). And like... I think that vibe fits the kind of God Arc that Jiha is

Yeah I agree! The praying mantis thing is really screaming "She's going to eat someone", but then I'm also wondering if that's how dark this manhwa is actually planning to go. Or if it's going to be the standard "clinging to humanity" trope, but with an absolutely unhinged & kickass MC
