This is so good, i binge read it and let me tell you… it had plot, it has character depth, and if im not wrong by season 3 the artist leveled up. But i do find it interesting that there’s one character who can solve things but holds true to the promise of not getting involved even when it’s being caused by… people they know. I’m trying to be vague as not to have spoilers for those who are reading the comments to get an idea of the story lol. And i still don’t completely understand the creation of that world. If one had the ability to create their own world, why share it with another and cause such a divide? And if there is a divide why not put down laws that would help with peace? If the humans are to follow as they choose, it only makes sense that the laws put into place would help with efficiently living on that earth. Like all those born with magic should be allowed to go to sol’s land,, he’s proven for 1,000 years that he wants peace. Those who want to worship the goddess should be allowed to move freely in derwin. And those who want nothing to do with either,, well they should be allowed to go to the surrounding lands. But i get it, those in power fear those who are more powerful. Which is so funny cuz they only act like this since the dragon and the goddess are choosing not to get involved, who are the most powerful in their world.
This is such a lovely and chill read. I understand the concern of the power dynamic, but all in all, it’s meant to be a comedy with a sprinkle of smut so it makes no sense stressing over it. If the story was more serious, then I’d understand the need for mc to have a backbone. But he’s so cute and it got a arrogant guy like the ml to fall in love…and there’s so much nonsense it’s hilarious. (Though now that I think about it..the author did a good job of keeping it light hearted despite having to show the ml’s backstory). It also gets really fast paced towards the end, but I still would recommend this to someone looking for a fast and chill read,, i think i read it all in about 2 hours.
The ending was really abrupt but I really liked this story. I can’t believe the only difference between the previous story line and this one was the fact that someone finally talked to Aster properly. Who woulda thought? (But also her being his knight in shining armor was also a point). I will say, I don’t like when stories use bl but make it straight. Like at least that commander captain guy was gay…he literally actually liked fl’s brother and the only thing that changed was fl’s personality and suddenly he’s interested in her instead. Aster not being gay makes sense, dude was in it for the torture and from what can be understood he only was obsessed with his cousin(?) because of the idea of a knight in shining armor that he fit pretty well. Other than that, I liked Aster and Kayla’s relationship. It came about really weirdly on Kayla’s side but Aster’s adorable to me, so I’m sure that was a driving factor for Kayla as well.
(Also fun fact: i’m gonna try to be commenting on all the stories I read because I’m worried about another reset happening. At least the comments remain even if the reading lists disappear…mine still haven’t come back)
I don’t even know what to say. I liked it but I didn’t love it. Maybe it’s due to how confusing the wording was, but I couldn’t fully grasp what was happening throughout the story, All I knew is she wanted to get back home and to do that she had to die in the way the original villainess did. I loved the ML, there’s so many stories with dominant mls that it was lovely to see one who was so submissive. Along with having no higher status, he did all he was commanded to both because he must obey but also because he loved her, ugh he was wonderful for that.
As for the FL, i liked how vicious she was, but I felt so conflicted. As just fiction, she was a wonderful lead, but when putting real life morals into it, the feelings get more complicated. All in all I gave this a 4 outta 5 stars.
I think i started to read this story with a certain bias in mind, which is why i didn’t hate it as much. I knew his character was going to be on the redder side as that’s how he was introduced and I continued reading this story to see how his change would occur. There’s another character who’s similar to him that went from arrogant to yearner, so when it comes to his development, i think it was pretty well done. It would have been weird if he’d completely changed because- that’s just throwing his personality out of the window. What I loved was how Chloe complimented his personality though.
There’s a comment towards the top that states Chloe is weak and I personally can’t see it, she seems like a strong fl to me. She didn’t back down, she thought things through, and even was trusted to act by Damien when he’d been captured. If she was truly weak, she would have left on the train as was his original plan, but she took ahold of the situation and got information that helped locate her husband.
In isekai stories they talk about how they find themselves in dark plot lined stories, and this is a story that reminds me of it, the only difference being this is through and through a romance with the politics being a subplot which we don’t really need to pay attention to- which feels like a first honestly. (Or to be more accurate, a first where it’s done properly).
Anyways, I feel like those who like twisted MLs should give this story a chance. Because I only had two thoughts for this guy: either he changes a little or he doesn’t change at all. (Also the yearning arc is split into 2 parts, the 3 years he planned on how to approach a marriage with her and the year she ran away. I thought that was a decent amount, especially with the pacing of the story, we might not have seen every little thing, but he still dealt with being away from Chloe for a year, kudos to him lol.)
I'm sad that I didn't let this marinate because it's a wonderful story, or to be more precise: It's unfolding to be one. This comment is being made after the latest update (chapter 31: offical tl). I had about two theories I wanted to type out, so if that's not your lane, please scroll on.
The first theory was about the empress and the reason she wanted Helena as a spy and the second being who Isabella is and what kind of role she potentially played. Of course we were also introduced to Helena's birth mother, so there's a chance she will be making an appearance in the coming chapters, especially since she left alive and didn't die off. While I was thinking about my first theory it almost tied in with my second theory. Now let me explain.
The empress wanting to keep an eye on Benjamin is a justified response if she had intel on him plotting something. But like other readers and Helena, I've noticed Benji doesn't seem to have any ill intent at all. As it's portrayed, he just seems withdrawn and depressed. And he's cute with how excited he got about his wood carvings, I just wanted to mention that lol. The empress wanting to push away any potential rumors with her son and Helena is also plausible, but they wouldn't have been close and allowed that type of relationship if that's what they truly wanted to prevent. Rereading that sentence is funny, 'that type of relationship' lmfao, friendship. I'm also getting the feeling there's a distorted relationship between the empress and Helena, for some reason, I think the nightmares are due to the empress. Why else would she have that nightmare where the empress is looming before her and she drops the tea… and the tea itself looked like something was in there. Was she being given something? Does the empress have sorcerers on hand? Anyway, the empress is really suspicious and she seems to have knowledge on the fire at the count's estate. Whether she had something to do with it, or simply knows of it, I can't pinpoint.
Which brings me to the second theory. Isabella. I can't see her being Benji's mother as he calls her by name, but one things for certain is that she is a 'sinner'. I can't remember what they're called so I'll be using sinners. From what I can tell, Benji too must be a 'sinner' as he has the marking on his back- which is potentially there to cover any of the other characteristics of a sinner, hence why his red eyes don't glow. She must have been his nanny or something of the sort. The count's house must have had a lot of sinners, that's something that's been poking at my mind since we learned that other person kept them as slaves. All those that left seem to be ashamed of what occurred during the fire, so it's got to be something to do with the sinner's, especially taking into account how Benji feels indebted to them. Connected this idea to the empress: could she have caused the fire to get rid of the sinners in the estate and expected a rebellion? She gave a good piece of info when she said Benji might be involved with a certain group, but the only group coming forth are the sinners, just as Helena can see.
Maybe the previous workers of the house complied with the demand. The reason I even came to this idea was because of how the slaves being freed was portrayed. He put the hut on fire as a distraction, but that creates a parallel for us readers to the estate fire. Was the fire at the estate done as a distraction? Hmm, but then that would diverge from my first theory with the empress being the root cause. Well, it's never bad to have multiple theories, but I can't really think of much more for Operation Estate-Fire Distraction theory.
One thing I can think of with all these,,,thoughts,,, is that the empress is most likely the true villain of the story. Either her or the emperor, which we have no info on. My brain just thought up something else, but I'm going to leave it at this because this is getting too long.

This is so hard to read but so good at the same time, like i finally found M/W pegging but at what cost, my heart hurts for yeownu (and ik right now its like dubcon-ish but clearly he’s egging her on to see how far she goes..in his words not mine.) and the fricking tattoo??? I just binge read which is why im talking bout that now, but he remembered the girl from his past and used that symbolism to cover up the scar?? Ugh. Crazy how he never saw the mom while she did business at the orphanage.
There is a tag for femdoms and pegging. I usually go through that tag list I think this is on there. Scroll down from the story and you’ll see a link that’s like femdoms or something
I’ll do that, thank you!
