Albert isn't a bad person, but during the their fight with Demon king, he was aware of what was happening to Rei, he knew he was sacrificing Rei, but nevertheless choose to prioritize his revenge knowing he and everyone would end up ruining Rei.
At the end of the day, he could only afford to care for Rei after his revenge was settled, Rei wasn't his priority and Rei wasn't important enough to him at that time, not as important as revenge at least. But who could blame him? I mean, most in his shoes would choose revenge, even if it means breaking someone innocent in the process, but I still hate his guts for trying to make amends for it. If he choose to be ruthless with his revenge despite knowing the consequences of breaking someone else, he should have just been ruthless till the end. Half-baked guilt is always the cheapest, knowing he would have still chosen to do the same thing if he had to go through it again.
The friend/coworker advising mc to go for the "Hikaru Genji Plan", I've come across this term before, and I was creeped out by the meaning behind it. "Hikaru Genjin Plan" Basically means an adult raising a child for the purpose of grooming them into becoming their ideal lover/partner like what was noted in the story.
I'll skip mc and Suou issues, it's the coworker that's concerning, she needs to fix her brain... At least mc had the common sense to question his relationship with Suou. The coworker just kept convincing mc to get together with a kid he raised since the boy was 8...
Zigril might be really unpopular... most become his love rivals. No one chasing him, instead they chase his empress. Kay might just be a natural magnet, love rivals don't seem to mind him being the male empress with Zigril (a powerful lunatic of an Emperor) being his spouse, and they don't even mind that Kay has child he gave birth too. Most straight up just ask Kay to run away with them. I don't know if they're brave or stupid, but no one in their right mind would ask an Empress to run away with them especially with an Emperor like Zigril. What made them think that they could whisk away The Male Empress that Emperor tried so hard to scheme to marry and trap with a child? How can these characters be made so stupid just because of their attraction/love, can't they come up with a better excuse?
A incompetent father and brother, a cheating greedy husband and a foolish son... The Empress really just had the worst luck in men. Even if she's a formidable villain, there's a handicap of having all the men in her family drag her down. She deserves it anyways, how many innocent (illegitimate) children had she killed? She should have just done that to her husband, and become queen regent.
I love the male classmates that tries to protect mc in their own way, when they thought her fiance was abusing her, they tried to protect her. Her classmates understood the "limit" of teasing and it's difference with bullying, after realizing the situation isn't something to tease someone about, they quickly did the right thing. After all, they stood their grounds when they realize that there maybe some sort of abuse going on. Although, the physical abuse was a misunderstanding, they pointed out that there are different kinds of abuse physical, emotional and psychological that one could be subjected.
So I kinda forgot the imperial family, so I just read some spoilers to shake my memory.
Apparently, Ussis is after revenge. Ussis was the illegitimate child of the Olorrs. She was treated badly by them and she eventually ran away and met heir of Aust, the representative family of the South, they fell in love, got married happily and even had twins children. But the Emperor was obsessed with Ussis, he and the Olorrs joined hands and had her husband killed. The Olorrs made Ussis consort, and the emperor even GRACIOUSLY made her child with her husband the first prince... So yeah, Ussis is playing spoiled consort on purpose. I'm so happy that neither The Empress nor the Consort were actually competing for that trash Emperor.
Albert, I feel like he's like the rest of them. If he cared for Rei, he should have told Rei to stop, since he knew Rei was getting more and more depressed and even if managed to go back to his world the trauma world persist knowing Rei's nature, he wouldn't be happy nor would he actually stop crying. But Albert didn't, Rei was needed to kill the demon king, it felt like Albert knew it deep inside...but Revenge maybe was his priority, I don't blame him, since he went through a tragic life himself, but Rei deserves to be away from all of them, hypocrites who used him... Including Albert who turned a blind eye and used Rei for his revenge in a way.
I don't think they loved each other at all, at the beginning until the end of their battle with the demon king at least. Rei never hesitated when he thought he could go back to his world, and Albert didn't hesitate to go after revenge even if he knew what was happening to Rei. Rei was just an aftermath for Albert, something or someone he could finally think about after revenge. And Albert was the only one Rei was slightly attached and could rely on in this new world.

Nasar is camping out... Eustis would've been an easier father-in-law to deal with than Leguin. Eustis handed out his approval, after thinking Phil would stay in the Capital if she married Nasar. But well... I guess Leguin is already being lenient on Nasar in his own way, at least he gave out conditions to clear rather than just pettily opposing.
