So I kinda forgot the imperial family, so I just read some spoilers to shake my memory.
Apparently, Ussis is after revenge. Ussis was the illegitimate child of the Olorrs. She was treated badly by them and she eventually ran away and met heir of Aust, the representative family of the South, they fell in love, got married happily and even had twins children. But the Emperor was obsessed with Ussis, he and the Olorrs joined hands and had her husband killed. The Olorrs made Ussis consort, and the emperor even GRACIOUSLY made her child with her husband the first prince... So yeah, Ussis is playing spoiled consort on purpose. I'm so happy that neither The Empress nor the Consort were actually competing for that trash Emperor.
The Second prince wasn't likable, but he wasn't a character without no reasons. You could say that he was an adult, but his parents were toxic to him and that why he grew up broken, there's few people who would grow normal in such circumstances. I could have hated him if he was simply greedy and cruel, but showing what he actually wanted was to stay with his adopted father at the beginning was kinda sad. After expecting something from his "real" family who his mother said would love him, but instead avoided him and rejected his existence, then his mother committed suicide wanting to kill him too. Was he supposed to grow to be a fun-peace loving guy?
The King tried to be a father? No matter what the circumstances, he shouldn't have dragged the kid who was living just fine and make him a prince just because of guilt. The king was a Half-hearted hypocrite, meanwhile, His mother was twisted madwoman who doesn't get that someone is already married. Yeah... the reason my hate didn't fully reach the Second prince is because there were more frustrating bunch in the list.
Albert, I feel like he's like the rest of them. If he cared for Rei, he should have told Rei to stop, since he knew Rei was getting more and more depressed and even if managed to go back to his world the trauma world persist knowing Rei's nature, he wouldn't be happy nor would he actually stop crying. But Albert didn't, Rei was needed to kill the demon king, it felt like Albert knew it deep inside...but Revenge maybe was his priority, I don't blame him, since he went through a tragic life himself, but Rei deserves to be away from all of them, hypocrites who used him... Including Albert who turned a blind eye and used Rei for his revenge in a way.
I don't think they loved each other at all, at the beginning until the end of their battle with the demon king at least. Rei never hesitated when he thought he could go back to his world, and Albert didn't hesitate to go after revenge even if he knew what was happening to Rei. Rei was just an aftermath for Albert, something or someone he could finally think about after revenge. And Albert was the only one Rei was slightly attached and could rely on in this new world.
Is this kind of plot popular or something...? I just want to read an isekai bl, but well, I gotta say, from parent like guardian to lovers is morally conflicting.
Also, The two brothers were probably being tsunderes. They mentioned something like think "think about yourself a little instead of us" amongst everything they said to mc. They sounded harsh, but they could have kept mooching off mc or used his kindness for something if they were real scums. Mc is the type that you can't cut off gentle, he would have kept giving if his brothers didn't leave him. Instead they left mc, maybe so he could finally live his own life. Also, I get, sometimes being related to monster makes you afraid of being one. The two brothers repeatedly heard that all their lives that they would become monsters too, but because their brother was there and he accepted them, who wouldn't want to free the one that loved them from a life full of burden?
He was always close to morally gray. It just so happens that he was surrounded by people who wanted him to be "Good" and "righteous". But because of Anri's influence he lets out a hidden side, the one that's capable of being corrupted by personal desires. Andrim noticed Jorga's potential. Hence why he let Jorga choose the ending of their relationship and revealed everything. (Jorga was really like that, a man corrupted by his selfish desires.) Andrim even finds it cute of Jorga, when Jorga acts like that.
The deference between Hyesung and his mother is that hyesung never had a day that he didn't regret leaving byul and he never downplayed his mistakes even Dojin told him it was alright, even when he came back he couldn't forgive himself and no matter who forgave him, he couldn't. Hyesung's mom on the other hand not only acted like hyesung never existed, she abandoned him and put the blame on him after telling him that she heard he didn't want to see her, so she didn't.
She raised hyesung longer than when hyesung left byul, yet hyesung had more emotional attachment to byul who he'd only see once and came back for him. The mother didn't, he raised the kid for a few years, left him and lied about not having a son, never once went to see him.
and hyesung don't even want to abandoned byul, he just misheard doujin and the fucker who end up with doujun. he literally scared that doujin would dump him and byul. he's literally homeless, had nothing. so he fled away. and that fucker keep telling shit to him while he live under that fucker roof. until he met doujin and realized that doujin keeps the baby. it's all that fucker's fault. and i hate how noone hating that shit, and hating on hyesung instead
Yeah, also. Hyesung never took the agreed money for giving birth to byul. The money wasn't even for the value of it, but a way for hyesung to feel emotionally safe from attachments since dojin wasn't exactly the nicest guy around. Who'd believe he'd love the child or let hyesung off from the way he acted on him. Hyesung initially had a good feelings for Dojin, but when he heard the Jerk (then) dojin talking like hyesung was some sort of usable inspiration material hyesung shut off any feelings for Dojin.
When the battle ends, the Leave or stay choice is coming. Leave he dies, stay he lives. Callisto is a rare type competent, crafty and grounded. I think he is on the same level as the ml in KILL THE VILLAINESS, the type that doesn't just rely on being handsome or their statuses, or special skills to get the job done. Calisto maybe a prince but he's certainly the type to not rely on being one all the time, even if he loses a bit of aura from coming down the fireplace and even uses his sword to kill rats on the way he did save penelope in just half a day no delay, no drama.
Penelope would be losing to let a guy like him die.

The first one to hate isn't the other woman, but the man who had another woman.
Also, the Emperor didn't bother to double-check if the child was really his or not...? As an emperor, he sure is easy to trick. An emperor should at least do some investigating to verify the evidence itself, more so if it concerns the imperial lineage.
At this point, failing his marriages, then losing his child is something he can only regret, after all everything was his own choice.
