I was contemplating wether to drop it or not BECAUSE EVERYONE IS SOOOO STUPID (except red har dude, he’s kinda bright but not that smart) and the ml got SO ANNOYING whe they got together, i cringed so badly holy moly
Low key, would’ve liked the story if the whole situation hadn’t been so ROMANTICISED. The idea of a story where one character is manipulated into loving the other is actually a great line out. It is the typical psychological story that I like. Twisted and NOT romanticised, because it has to be CLEAR that the characters are both into each other only cause of dependence. But somehow the story managed to fail that. The studentxteacher is so unnecessary AND wrong, while only making the story taste more like lukewarm water. Is Mc forgiving his parents and making his rebellious phase seem like a childish tantrum? Hell nah. And the worst thing is that making the dependence both ml and mc have seems like actual fairy-tale love. Hell nah. I like psychological stories, also the twisted ones, but this one is just bad. Bad and stupid. Did the author use their brain while writing this? No one knows.
Whatever, bet no one’s here for the plot anyway, because it’s so all over the place. The author is trying to be so “deep” and so philosophical, but hell nah, it’s just mind fuck atp. Read the first chapters of Pearl Boy AGES ago when that manhwa was just released, dropped it after 20-ish chapters because hell nah—started THIS manhwa because why not? Maybe I’ll like the plot here more, and MAYBE the author managed not only to upgrade their artistic skills but also their writing. But yeah, I came to the conclusion, since I am already this deep into the story, why not just read this without using my brain, cause the moment I THINK too hard about the plot, the premise, the characters, my brain will literally shut off. I am not completely hating… the story has some interesting outlines and great art style, and I so SO wanted to get attached to the characters so that I can FEEL the angst with all my heart (I love angsty stories hehe~) BUT NOOO, I am just here reading it without using my brain. #ignore the plot, only here for the art.
But hopefully, author-nim will choose to upgrade their writing and not only focus on the art
Do you guys have any stories where the angst is as good, bad and gut wrenching as this story? Similar to ebony caste if yall what I mean. I highly recommend ebony caste (and its novel) cause it hurts SO GOOD, but I haven’t manage to find a story that hurts as long as this and ebony castle

I think my reading comprehension got turned off while reading this whole thing (who can blame me, it’s 70% smut), but I just realised that the bottom is into this kinky, humiliating stuff HAHHAHA and now I’m even more invested than before (I don‘t minster ml sucking another guys dick out of jealousy AT ALL, it’s too hilarious) also the art is so pleasing for some reasons
