at most, my cousins exchanged babies multiple times when they gave birth at unconventional moments of their lives, so the family tree is kind of mixed up but everybody is alright. 2 reply
That's because humanity is associated with personhood. Like, Connor is not human, but he is a PERSON.
Humans have linked personhood with the complexity of our own species because other beings on Earth (humans, plants, fungi) can't seem to reach our 'level'. Even though other animals like mice and even ants have been shows to present proofs of empat...... reply
I see manga/book/movie characters being scared shitless of death, doing anything they can to escape it or cheat it in some way. Not to be edgy or anything, but unless it's like, the slow agonizing death from an uncurable desease, idgaf. I'm not into pain, and it's not like I want to die, but it doesn't feel like it's that big of a deal. It happens.
Like, at the slight sign that my life could be over (burning building, lost at sea, held at gunpoint, whatever scenario that would require too much effort in order to survive) I'd just roll over and die.
