So that is to say that I generally don't read hetero stuff and for rather good reason, their stories usually suck and so do their characters, especially the woman. I will say though, that this is definitely one of the better ones. Unfortunately I find it hard to trust the ratings on the hetero stuff because the stories are generally lower across the board imo (but in all honestly, I still need to try out newer material), so Ive come across several 9.somethins that were.... Barely passable as decent.
This isn't one of those. Honestly, I think I only have 2 complaints. 1) characters moved past angst so gosh darn quickly that none of the heaviness really had a proper chance to actually be heavy. 2) the sex was so gosh darn vanilla and utterly repetitive that by half way through I was literally just scrolling past it. It's practically copied and pasted from chapter 1-42. Even if he's avoiding positions from the back to avoid biting temptation, there can be a whole lot more to sex than some fingering, cunnilingus, and missionary position. Even the "switch ups" were just the barest variations of the same ol missionary.
Plot was good though and she wasn't such a mousey meek female lead that I disliked her at all. One of the few that felt a touch empowering w/o needing masculine qualities.
I can't get past 9 chapters in, I just don't have it in me. Main Character is nothing but an idiot push over virgin. Honestly, cannot think of anything likeable about his character whatsoever. Things just happen to him, he isn't even living his own life. Real hard NPC feelings for a main character to be having.
The male lead? Just a trash guy who is able to manipulate the moronic main character without so much as lifting a finger. And he does it, just cuz he can.
Boring and unlikable story. No redeeming qualities for either character.
P. S. What is with secondary characters always being the biggest f*cking idiots? That coworker makes the MC look like a genius.
Idk, it's not really toxic. You just have one guy who is head over heals for the other, while the other guy is scarred and scared because of a previous failed relationship. And you have all the messy family dynamics you would expect from the beginnings of making a new blended family (without any toxic behavior from previous partners I might add).
The interactions are typical. It's not over the top grand gestures, it's just two normal people and their kids. I think people find this level of realism boring because we've gotten so used to unrealistic and over the top toxic rich man behavior from other manwhas. Every part of this seems pretty fluid to me so far, as does the relationship development.
I like it. It's cute. It's fluffy. It's funny. There's a touch of angst. There's male pregnancy. Can't ask for much more than that.
The very second I saw that deer head and pictures I groaned out of annoyed exhaustion. That room/apartment is used in eeeeevvvveeeerrrryyyy manwha. It must have been a free 3D asset in Clip Studio and there must be an extreme shortage of other room/apartment assets to use because this darn room is use everywhere. This room/apartment and a certain house are so over used and recognizable in so many manwhas that it always rips me out of emersion like Freddy Krueger.
I seriously hope that in the coming years we see a huge move away from these assets.
ANYWAYS, off to actually read the story now.
Green flag MC all the way. No, he wasn't a stalker, not at all. Nor did he assault the MC, it's a thing called implied consent. Ngl, it does boarder it what he does in 26 but throughout the story he has sex with MC multiple times after MC passes out and the MC is never once upset with it. Some people are ok or even into that sort of thing.
It was a good story and I like how the MC isn't just magically cured of his trauma through the power of love and plot device. He struggles with his stage freight through the entire story and fights every day to claw his way back to be comfortable enough to go back into stage at the end. Love it.
A very good story that deserves its rating, don't let any other comments dissuade you from reading this.
And extra rushed at that. Pushover dumbass omega who just lets a random stranger do whatever TF he wants just cuz? This guy coming in and treating him like a common street whore.... Just cuz? And who TF makes out while holding a child? That's just fucking gross. And trust me, a kid would not fall back asleep that quickly after that. Incoherent, rushed, and illogical
Where's that story?
I was pretty much over the main couple at the end of the story, let alone the FORTY side stories. I was hoping to see some Woojon side stories. Then I hoped maybe he got his own little spin off. But nope. I want those chapters.
And while I don't care to really see any love story for Taesoo, I do hope he can get the therapy he needs for his parents divorce and that he can find love and happiness too one day.
One moment the MC is so upset he's not eating and the next it's as if nothing had ever happened. The author is not doing a good job at making a consistent character. He hates that he's trapped and confined as a whore but also seems happy and perfectly fine.
The ML just could not be more of a moron. I thought he's supposed to be smart? Yet that is literally never shown. We just see his ability to see different colored shade around people. I mean, is he actually smart? The man knows he will die without his rainwater. He was like, "Meh, guess I'll just die since I'll probably never find it." Man was racing to his deathbed. Then he finds his rainwater, the only person who can save his life, and what does he say?!??!!?! "Provide me with a service worth $6000" WHAT?! IS YOUR OWN **LIFE** NOT WORTH EVEN THAT MUCH?! (I mean, I don't think it is, but does he not value his own life more than that?)
ML should be on his KNEES for MC. Literally worshiping the ground he walks on, because he can save his life. Instead his BRILLIANT plan is to treat the MC like literal trash. Yea, seems soooooooo smart.

Look, I've read a lot of omegaverses and I only know of one over all universe that I've hated more than this one. (One where a teacher raped a student and a minor was allowed to be raped by his older family member to help him more quickly develop into a "proper omega" and how being claimed makes the omega totally subservient to their claiming alpha)
But this universe is coming into a strong second place. The author is attempting to prop this prosecutor up as a good guy, a prosecutor who will go after justice no matter who the bad guy is, even if it means taking down another prosecutor. But what do you mean he coerced the MC immediately into unwanted sex? What do you mean he locked him into a room filled with his pheromones so he can fuck(rape) him again because he banged up his car?
WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN THEY LOCK UP OMEGAS WITH ALPHAS AND DONT GIVE THEM SUPPRESSANTS IN PRISON?!?!?!?!?!
That's like locking up men and women together in prison. Literally the exact same thing. I hate this entire universe. That's not discrimination, that's all fucking crimes against humanity. This MC would do better in any other universe istg.
Hello, i've read all the chapters currently released and maybe i can adress some of your concerns. !!!Spoiler warning!!!
First of all, the Prosecutor is (imo) never really a ML. He's just there for the plot, since the MC falls pregnant and will assume it to be Prosecutors child when in reality it's not and this causes some pheromone omegaverse type issues. I personally also thought the later chapters didn't really attempt to portray him in a positve light. In the end MC chooses the silver-haired guy, despite thinking the child is Prosecutors. Same goes for silver-haired guy choosing MC.
Secondly, i don't think Alphas and omegas actually share cells unless they are in heat and have requested a certain inmate as a Partner. They do however meet in the cafeteria and the yard but any unwanted contact is prohibited. There are two guard/inmate couples tho. One doing it for favors and the other having actual affection.
In the end, i would consider the MC and ML a nice couple. MC does become more loving towards the, not subservient though as hes still quite feisty. ML is also loving in a less controlling or obsessive way than usually in these stories. He wants whats best for MC. I do think this author has given more 'diverse' side couple dynamics than usual and i definitely tought it was worth a read. You just have to keep in mind that there is violence and everyone gets pregnant.
It does ultimately depend on taste, this story might just not be right for you, but i think placing it in rank 2 on worst omegaverse is crazy considering whats out there.
Idek how i ended up writing this fucking essay, i'm not a super fan of this lmao. Thank you for comming to my TEDtalk
It's not a rank 2 of omegaverse but of omegaverse universes (looking at this universe separate from the people's stories in it). I cannot suspend my disbelief that they would house omegas and alphas in the same prison because omegas are equivalent to women. I cannot believe that the rational choice ever is to stick men with women instead of keeping them separate for safety (and punishment) and just giving them suppressants. In all honestly this story didn't particularly need the prison setting at all, and I think the author should have probably just chosen a different setting instead of this illogical slop setting, just because they stubbornly wanted to have it set in a prison.
I also couldn't believe that anyone let the prosecutor rape the MC immediately following him banging up his car. As it does appear that it was just allowed to happen..... repeatedly. I mostly can't believe this because while it does say there is some omega discrimination, we never see any of that sexual discrimination anywhere else in the story. In fact, Id say the the story shows the opposite considering how the prison treats it.
That aside, if I can ignore the over arching universe, I think the stories themselves are fine. It does seem like a bit of retroactive clean up was done to make the ML look better which does suggest some minor laziness(ie, planning out details ahead of time instead of having to go back and make excuses for them) but I am extremely happy that there was no info dumping done in this one. (One of my biggest petpeeves, it's visual media, so show don't tell. I especially hate it when a character's entire purpose is just to pop in for info dumps before disappearing) I'd say this author shows promise of being at the higher end of quality, especially if they continue to do this as a living and just work on a few minor things.
I like when side characters are done and I like when they're done in the story (vs as after thought side stories), but it's got to be a correct balance. This manwha almost nails it tbh. Like, still a bullseye but not quite centered. Sometimes Taeseo and Alejandro (apparently a Hispanic who is French? Idk if the author just chose random names or if there's immigrant history there) almost feel like they're the main couple, and I kinda forget about the main couple or am disappointed to go back to them because honestly, their story is just so good. It really could have been a stand alone work in its own right. (And their story wouldn't even require the presence of omegas in the prison!)
I think the stories themselves are generally very fine, but the world building itself is generally crap. If you're housing women with men in prisons just because you'd rather let them satisfy each other sexually and risk a bunch of problematic rapes and births (because what society wants their inmates and problem people reproducing in high numbers which could lead to more neglect and abuse cases and also put more strain on any welfare systems?) rather than paying for medication, then that's a really fucked up universe. In all honestly, looking at the overall picture, I think the author just stubbornly stuck to the prison setting,e ven though it obviously doesn't work. Sometimes authors need to know when to not be so stubborn, and to let an idea change or when to let an idea go for the betterment of the overall story.
If not for the prison system and the justice system blatantly allowing the prosecutor to rape and coerce the MC like he did, I would say this would have ranked near the top of omegaverse stories period, but the universe functions really do drag it down and don't do the stories any justice.
Far from the worse omegaverse I've read, but I just can't get past that prison and justice system. The stories themselves might break top 10 best omegaverses, definitely top 15, but the universe ranks among the bottom.
Yep, you are correct and idek what to say
