And they go ape-shit..this could be referring to a fight, that could either be physically violent or even a verbal argument where they tear the other person down to SHREDS. I don't mind if it's a moment late in a story, so spoilers are allowed, too. Just a manga/manwha/manhua/webtoon where the MC who seems sweet and always holds back finally lets go! Could be comedic or serious..please I need it!

A lot of action manga I've been reading lately has MCs that are too cool/calm and collected, or even calculating so it doesn't feel like they'll ever be humbled/fail, so there's no surprise twist for me. Big plus would be if the MC was thought dead too!
You can also suggest manga with honorable mentions of side characters who pulled this as well. If the moment you're thinking of has a big boss fight or later in the chapters, feel free to spoil me anyways!; the more gagged you were while reading, the better!
Any genre is okay. They don't have to be the MC or ML/FL, I would just like to see if there are any with good psychologists that don't take advantage of their patients (they get a bad rep). The genre can be psychological just as long the MHP- mental health practitioner isn't a bad person or is unprofessional. If a story came to mind, please reply! Thank you and happy New Year! I am asking for murder mystery, or whodunnits recommendations! Whodunnits typically are mysteries in which amongst a group of people someone performs a crime OR kills another and no one knows who did/"done" it! I've binged a ton of Detective Conan/Case Closed and I've also scouted reddit for some, leading me to watch "The Insider Person" / "The Kubikuri Cycle". I've also read Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works (aka Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, Poirot) and watched anime Spin-offs about their detectives/police consultants.
It would be preferred if isn't clear who the killer is from the beginning (some Whodunnits make it clear who the killer is and makes the plot revolve around WHY they did or the MC figuring out HOW the murderer did it), think Columbo/Monk for an examples of.content I wouldn't want to be recommended. I've also checked out the Danganronpa Visual Novel gameplay years ago so I'm good on that. It doesn't have to be murder, like Tomodachi Game, and could be theft, and no conspiracy plots (unless you realllyyyy like it) since those typically don't involve looking at seome within a group of suspects. I've enjoyed plots that had the "werewolf game" play out, like Alice in Borderlands.
Just something where the bad guy/lady/person is amongst the group all along please!
Im not too too familiar with those, but a couple romance manhwa (im so sorry) that have a good mystery plot are "revenge wedding" and "i raised a black dragon".

i recommend the visual novels AI: The Somnium Files (same studio as daganronpa) and Death Mark - both available on switch (both on sale right now) and steam. the culprit certainly isnt clear in the beginning.
Yes! It's always fun to meet a kindred spirit! Murder mysteries... Whodunnits... I could watch hundreds and hundreds of them. I've tired out the Google search bar OUT. (Btw did you check out the knives out franchise? They were fun! And if you're looking for another series to binge watch, I'd recommend DEATH IN PARADISE, an 8-episode serial watch where murders take place in Guadalupe/ in the Caribbean with multiple seasons). I'll go first. I LOVE but also HATE whenever one of the main characters in a positive fall for the other character because of something small (for example, lending them an umbrella when it's raining, a compliment, or other small items like pens, 'protecting' them from someone's or Something in a way that doesn't really work realistically). Sometimes I find it cute! Human interaction is beautiful! But sometimes... I feel so aggravated by it and makes me less immersed while reading because it's not that deep
Especially if one of the characters gets obsessed with the other character over said small thing... I can't stand it! Haven't seen it in a while!
Note: smiles aren't included in this conversation, I think the trope of getting a gloomy or stoic character too smile and falling for them afterwards is golden!

I'm feeling nostalgic after thinking of Trash of the count Family (I am mostly caught up in the novel) and ORV/omniscient reader's viewpoint. The genre doesn't have to be action either! For example, a good psychological one is The male MC in Tomodachi game who tried his hardest to look out for his friends and outsmart the system simultaneously, even if it meant getting beat up (which happened later). I don't mind if there is romance with a ML or FL, even harem is okay because I don't consider "harem" romance since they're all typically one-sided crushes! However if the female characters are written poorly and used as plot devices, no thank you, you don't need to rec those! I'm not looking for a "Gary Stu" MC but if that's all you guys know, I'll gladly take it! And now... I wait! Thanks in advance!
