youre missing the entire point, i am in no way defending stalking and abuse and rape or whatever, nobody deserves to go through it, however all of the stories are in fictional settings, it has no relation to real life, all of it is just ficiton confined to the book. This manhwa is based off of a very dark chapter in world history, african americans were TORTURED in every sense of the word, they were beat, they were starved, they were raped, they were killed, the were forced to fight each other to the dead and so so so much more. If the story was based a bit later, with a MC who was not quite outright stated to be from a family of slave owners and the native american ML's opening line wasnt 'I am your humble slave' i would have loved this story!! i love me some cowboys. Hell even if the panel where he 'frees' the african americans wasnt included Jaxx wouldnt have gotten so much backlash. And youre enabling the author tbh, i personally believe that a person who is pursuing a career in the humanities (literature) shouold do ample it of history research before setting a story in the past, its pretty much common knowledge that the history of humanity is not all sunshine and rainbows, its called being considerate.
