I’m gonna be the black sheep here and say I hate Rosetta in this latest chapter specifically. As someone who also had an abusive father who was more emotionally/psychologically abusive towards me and more physically abusive towards my youngest sibling (so I speak from some experience, tho I’m fully aware everyone’s abuse can be wildly different experiences and don’t assume mine is “right” or “worse” than others), my sister for sure had it worse than me and no matter how much it impacted me psychologically, it impacted her both physically AND psychologically. I think Rosetta is speaking from a very closed off/selfish perspective where she is still not making a genuine effort to get to know Maxi, she’s just extrapolating from her own experience and applying her own logic from her lived experience. Mind you, I don’t hate Rosetta overall, she is struggling as well and has much trauma that she needs to work on (like Maxi did and does). But her atitude this particular chapter, in my own opinion, is not to protect Maxi but rather to try and make Maxi be more like her since this is how she thinks she’ll persevere.
Amazing now we can see them be psycho together without any more dumb miscommunication tropes ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I swear if after this we get more miscommunication I’m gonna flip

I just KNOW this was written by a man by how much this all started sounding more and more like those porn manwha where shit just gets more and more unhinged with each chapter. I only finished this because it was a train wreck I couldn’t look away from, but please don’t even bother. The smut isn’t smutting (The Broken Ring has wayyyy better, not to mention an even better plot).
And honestly, the premise was good and it could have gone to great places with a better writer. But instead you get the dumbest FMC I have ever seen and legit the only time there was any content warning was concerning a guy being noncon when the FMC herself is noncon in every other chapter. Just by FMC alone I know this was written by a man (and it’s a shame because this doesn’t start as terrible as it gets, but oh boy did it get terrible). The only saving grace is the poly ending that excludes the prince (I don’t even wanna start ranting about the prince and his parents who cheated and just get back together with 0 remorse for said cheating???? or lurica because BOY would I have much to rant on about there if I wanted).
Long story short, please spare yourself the trouble and pick up literally anything else. I promise you nothing gets better, plot or Plot
