ch. 101 has been circulating around tiktok and the way people are going from “#1 skylar defender” to “i can’t defend him anymore” is crazy. was it okay for skylar to say what he said to cirrus? no. but cirrus isn’t innocent in this situation either. he was the one that deleted messages from chan-il on skylar’s phone (and block him, i think). and rather than talking to skylar upon seeing him with chan-il, he chucks a cup/can of a drink in anger. me personally, i would be fucking beyond angry with my partner if they did that out of their insecurity. granted i would also dump them on the spot for that.

i understand that cirrus is feeling insecure but to then ask to be for reassurance after doing what he did? yeah no. again it wasn’t okay for skylar to say that he was only dating him bc chan-il wouldn’t and to beat the shit out of him. skylar should’ve reigned his temper and talked to him to resolve this issue. but he isn’t good at and he was hurting so he wanted cirrus to feel hurt too.

they’re both to blame for being in this mess. they’re two teen boys with a lack of emotional maturity and fucked up personalities stemming from trauma. they both need therapy and time apart from each other to mature emotionally.

“This isn’t us consoling each other, human to human. It’s more like two beasts licking each other’s wounds in a trance.” “Maybe the only act we’ve been able to master is the one that gives us the illusion that we can forget everything else in that moment.” Ian acknowledging that what he and TJ have is basically just trauma bonding them together and that’s why they go back to each other makes me hate him a little less for spacing out while hanging out with Jo.

this manga has no clear plot and keeps getting messier and messier bc there is now way they’re going to add the “lesbian friend that’s been in love with her friend” trope into this convoluted relationship. i honestly see no hope for anyone and this would all be done with had misaki gone through with divorcing yuki like he wanted from the beginning

i hate ian and tj. they truly are meant to be together. and not in a “they have so much chemistry” way, i mean in a “they’re both manipulative bastards that can’t get their shit together” way. ian has been saying he wants to leave his gang life behind but tj so much as comes near his vicinity and he folds. thats not something that someone, who wants to leave their past, would do. which i understand can be practically impossible bc once you’re in a gang, it becomes your whole life. but he needs to get a sturdier backbone bc the one he currently has is clearly not doing its job. and tj.. is tj. he’s a possessive asshole that blatantly disrespects ian’s wishes of being a “normal” person.

this is an extremely biased take as i’ve hated tj the moment he appeared and his influence over ian is really annoying atp. but im also going to keep reading knowing how much i hate them at the moment because i like to torture myself.

everyone in this story is a mess. ina for knowingly getting into a relationship with a married man and being manipulative to both the others. yuki is a people pleaser- stemming from the fact that he’s had to repress himself his entire life- but that’s still an issue. as well as being the least communicative of the 3. and i’m sorry but the messiest person is misaki.

misaki has noticed this huge issue in her relationship with her husband (intimacy) that pretty much happened after their marriage. and after finding out her husband was cheating on her and comes out to her as gay, she doesn’t leave him because “there’s no one else” she’ll love. (that doesn’t excuse the fact he cheated, that’s still bad). she also refuses to divorce him after he asked for one because he knows that their relationship is not one based on romantic love. while i appreciate that she defends yuki with the debacle regarding his parents, she still is unwilling to let him go and still making him repress himself. it may not seem like it but yuki has already encountered people close to misaki that know them as a married couple, who have expressed that he was temporarily confused after he let them know he would no longer be seeing ina and continue his married life with misaki (as she refuses to divorce him).

misaki has put everyone into a hopeless situation because she is extremely idealistic and not considering that by doing so she is simply putting each of them in more pain. it’s a no-win situation. ina, who is polyamorous, will never be able to date both the people he loves as misaki doesn’t view him as a romantic partner. misaki will never be viewed “as a woman” or romantic/sexual partner by her husband as he is gay. and yuki is being repressed, intentionally or not, while also not being able to be with the man he loves as he knows it still makes misaki uncomfortable.

i know people will say “he could file for a divorce” but the only way i could see that going would be the divorce would have to be either an admission of adultery or irreconcilable differences. both of which, he may have to admit he’s gay or that there’s been a lack of intimacy which led to adultery. which leads to both parties being ostracized, one more than the other in either scenario.

i know i’m taking this too seriously but the people that have been asking-no praying- for dan’s grandmother to die just for him to “move on” truly upset me. this is the woman that raised dan, he isn’t going to just say at least i’ve been unburdened post her death. was the medical debt an issue for him? 1000% yes. but that was his grandmother, the woman who cared and loved him all his life. the newest chapter seems to show that for dan, his grandmother is his person. and one doesn’t simply grieve and move on. her death doesn’t clear his debt.

maybe it’s due to the initial semi-poor translations but i have no clue what’s the actual plot of the story. i understand that sia is made fun and she meets this mystical being that changes her life but there’s something that’s missing in the plot. i feel that there a lot of inconsistencies (e.g. the siblings and their chronic illnesses being brought up but never shown again until the scene where byul has an asthma attack) that happen. also the beasts being able to turn into gods being apparently a major thing but we don’t get a lot behind it (kind of). or the shaman? with the powers (the lady that fortune of ari and sia as children) to swap characteristics/personality traits from one person to another?

again maybe it’s because of the confusing translations that eventually got somewhat better that i’m a bit lost. or maybe it’s just me and everyone else gets it.

is it just me but are the faces get more pointier in the chin? and the FL’s face getting smaller?
