I think the purpose of the mirror and the room being black was to build more fear on the person watching, and with the fear it creates malice against those who put you there. It has most likely been going on since there are other black rooms hence the fact that it would be possessed, and those limbs are from others who had "evaporated."
I'm just imagining a sequel with hyun-ju's story of her finding a blackroom and the loneliness she has and the limbs will be the proffessor's and her bullies
As much as Minyoung's action were bad, from his POV, the way his mind works, it was right. I think it was also right for him to help Cheol by telling his father the truth and letting him face his demons. THAT BEING SAID, I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE APOLOGISED IMMEDIATELY, then they should have talked it out so that Cheol never tries to go back and even let Cheol study abroad, away from his abusive family.
