I think it will have a happy ending. Usually, when authors make a sad ending, they use the side stories to create an alternate universe or show the characters in their next life, where they're happy. It's like a pain reliever for the viewers, so the last taste they're left with from the Manhwa is sweet.
Bwat did this for Taming the Tiger. But for BoTWN, Bwat said the side stories would focus on Jakar and Mush’nu, not Shuraka and Tei. That's why I don’t believe they would leave us with a sad ending.
