Diah was quite literally a paycheck. Her dad gave her to the grayans in exchange for their sponsor. The manhwa has portrayed Diah as irrational and irresponsible uptil now, but after seeing how normal she used to be, it makes sense. She actually believed in and loved Victor. Honestly, if Victor didn't abuse her in all those ways he did and actually loved her back, he'd be a much better person
True but considering the way he got raised, the way he got tricked and manipulated into doing things and taught to be and think a certain way i doubt he'd grow up to be a green flag

I didn't want to be one of those people cause I know Varia is soooo important and sooo hot and soooo FL coded but FUCK is she boring! Marquisness ortio is a thousand times cooler than her. And Kanis's wife is hotter than her. And god at this point I think I'd enjoy an arc about countess bossgruni. Varia. Is. So. Bland.

Calling Varnia bland really misses the mark, as she has incredible depth and a genuinely dark past. She’s easily one of the smartest characters in the story, highly responsible, and knows how to pick her battles.
If she seems more reserved now, it’s because her past circumstances never gave her the luxury to be loud or reckless(which is why she won’t be like marquess ortio.. especially since she has JUST begun being a high society woman), she was literally neglected and abused, which, while a common trope, fits naturally into a story full of cliches.
Because much of her backstory is revealed through Leonia, it’s easy to overlook just how capable and badass she was in her previous life. Returning with a newfound appreciation for her own survival, she’s finally in a safe position where she doesn't have to fight just to exist, especially with the Duke by her side.
By the time she marries and gets used to the power of the duchy, she’ll step into her role even more. People love comparing her to Marchioness Ortio because of her charisma, but Ortio and Varnia have two completely different personalities. It feels like what bothers people is that Varnia isn't outwardly "badass" in a flashy way, but rather quiet and simple. She isn't just a pretty face, she possesses the exact intellect, maturity, and emotional intelligence required to be a Duchess.
It’s unfortunate that the manhwa trims down so much of the novel's internal monologue, but if you look closely at her actions, she is far more complex than people give her credit for. The manhwa isn't going to completely focus on her since the main protagonist is Leonia, and what Leonia needs is a person like Varnia next to her. I get that everyone has their own opinion, but it really saddens me to see people getting annoyed by Varnia simply because of how she's portrayed as the FL!
