What is going on with the translation in chapter 58... I kinda understand what they are talking about, but I couldn't make it through the whole chapter. Also, a lit of the interactions in this new season feel really dry and I did not get tge same vibes from scar face dictator dude as I should... that was not a mass murderer.
I left this alone to marinate for like 4 years, I'm getting caught up right now with a very satisfying binge, but chapter 267 has so many panels that won't load ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡ I wanted to read for at least two more hours before going to bed. Maybe the universe is telling me I should go to bed it is almost 8am

So, I think there's a good reason why he's like this. It already mentioned when he first went to the 'dream garden' with that book that his hidden destiny was unlocked or something, so he was probably always ment to do this. His personality is a perfect fit for this role. Nice, caring, not greedy or ambitious. He just likes to help.
I don't know because I haven't read the novel, but it looks like the world tree is attempting to restore the damage done to itself and it's world by the monsters through our mc and through the hunters in his world. I think that's the purpose of the quests after thinking about this, the devil ant dungeon, and how the bridge the beetles use to get to the mc's world is the world tree. Though the reason they go over there and defeat monsters still isn't quite clear to me, I have a few ideas.
Anyways, the mc is perfectly suited for a role of pure help and restoration, and helping out the hunters by providing his items at those low prices would eventually fulfill the would trees goal if all the damage is able to be undone with their help. Simply put, the better the hunters do, the better it would be for the world tree and they could even make the mc's task easier by helping with the monsters. It's a win win and our mc is perfectly in the middle and wouldn't ever take advantage of the things he receives and encounters through this.
Again, I have no idea if this is right or not, but this is the direction I would go as a writer. Let me know if there's something any of you would like to add, I wrote all of this and thought it out on zero sleep and a headache, so theres bound to be things I could have missed. I'm gonna try and go to bed since I can see the sun rising (ﾉ∀`)
