Their loyalty to each other. Sol maybe worried about Lorkan (with good reason) but Brian is just using him as a means to an end. To those complaining, Sol lived a whole life with Brian so we have to know the motivation as to why his interest in Ian (Brian's reincarnation). Also, why Lorkan is obsessed and the origins of Ian's power. This makes the story more layered and interesting. It's enjoyable to read when you understand why things are happening the way they are.

Yoonie is 55 years old when Haejin wakes him up. Haejin went into hibernation at age 20 when yoonie was also 20. Yoon was hoping to "free" Haejin ASAP so he researched for 35 years on how to "free" Haejin but he ended up learning that he wouldn't be able to find the solution anytime soon and he was afraid that if he kept going, he would pass away before he could meet Haejin again. So he put himself into hibernation at age 55 next to Haejin
