Read this back in 2021 and oh my god, it literally broke me. It is so well written, and just looking back at that art 5 years later, I can somehow still feel the impact it had on me. I'll reread it soon, but I'm leaving this here because this manhwa is genuinely amazing and heartbreaking. 100000000000+/10
There is a lot that's missing, like the backstory and such. It moves In a weird pace, and I don't think the length of 4 incredibly short chapters is fitting for a complex dynamic such as this one. With that aside, I did find them interesting, but a lot of what was done didn't make sense. The violence, clinging onto the piercing then giving it back.. Too many contradictions, and the intentions were so vague. It felt like I just got a glimpse of 4 major events in these two girl's lives and am expected to comprehend the full story. It just feels unnatural with the pacing and shift in behavior between one another. The romance isnt articulated clearly, the violence feels more like shock value and I don't understand why it even occurs, there is no form of resolution or revenge despite both characters showing traits that would lead to such... It felt like a very static story. But for a 4 chapter story, it was okay. Not amazing, just okay. But Im very interested in the pair and I wish it was just written better...
I'm not even gonna stick out to the end knowing that the author is the same as suicide boy, but also the size difference is beyond abnormal. It's literally loli bait and pdf bait wtf are those proportions, it borders on the same level of depravity as fucking lucky dream holy shit
I like how consistently evil Ilay is but I genuinely hate his guts oh my god. He just takes thing as they are and doesn't even try to understand them outside of his own perspective and it's so destructive especially when it comes to their relationship, especially when they're constantly in situations that challenge their stability. I feel so bad for Taeui like I won't stand anyone calling him a bird because he genuinely has no choice. Like he said it's either life or death, and when it comes to Ilay, it's not even clear which one is a better option. Anyways I love passion so much but I'm lowk disappointed with how short the chapter was. It took me like approximately 3 minutes to read and I'm still hungry for more
this manhwa is tew good but the whole thing abt yuri saying that his first love was xinlu when he was a child and he was 25 is odd... Idk if it's mistranslation or it's just yuri playing around, but from before the convo in ch.42 he kept thinking back to how pretty xinlu was when he was a kid idk it's highkey weird...

If you have been reading passion : raga from the beginning you should know by now what type of person Yuri is.He is a guy who never tried to see anyone with romantic eyes , Yuri is literally an angel. He's not a type of person who'd see a kid romantically out of everything.
Xinlu asked Yuri if there's any moment in Yuri's life he never was able to forget. Yuri didn't have any except for the moment he saw Xinlu under water. At that moment , Xinlu looked as perfect as fHe calls Xinlu "pretty as a flower" , "beautiful like a tropical sea fish". None of his compliments about Xinlu he made till now was inappropriate.
Maybe try to use your brain to understand the character ? Lol.
Yuri meant the "moment" and Xinlu asked "first love". Yuri doesn't have a "first love" but "an unforgettable memory" that resembles a pretty underwater flower.
Holy moly, no need to get all aggressive about a question lmao. And it's a pretty rational question. Many people brought it up because the thought is quite misplaced. Everytime he thinks of Xinlu in a romantic way, somehow that memory gets brought up. It's only natural for people to inquire about it lol.
Also, the scene you're referring to with the "tropical fish" is a scene that occurs when Xinlu is an adult, and Yuri is complimenting his swimming, so... No need to act overly cocky over a manhwa when you can't even get your info right?
I don't see why you have to get so offended over people asking questions because Yuri's romance so far has revolved around that memory of Xinlu, that's the first thing he remembers when he sees Xinlu, and that memory is brought yo several times, even as he states that Xinlu is his first love, he's thinking about Xinlu when he was a kid. I just think Yuri is an unconventional character, so when he said that, he wasn't viewing Xinlu in a lustful way because lust doesn't appeal to him
To be fair, I don't think Yuri is entirely viewing Xinlu from a lustful lens, because from the start he had never viewed him in that way. He's mostly focused on how beautiful he is and such. I do think it's odd that it's a memory that is reoccurring, especially during the time spent with Xinlu, where he often compliments Xinlu alongside complimenting Xinlu's younger self mentally... I was just really thrown off by the 'first love' thing but I just think Yuri doesn't have proper comprehension of romance and stuff, so he might've not thought of Xinlu that way and maybe was just complimenting, though I'm not sure. It's still pretty weird, but I wouldn't let it ruin your reading experience because apart from this detail, it's a very good manhwa and the dynamic is so complex and entertaining lol

I mean, yes and no… it’s a lil weird cause they end up being step brothers after they had already somewhat started their relationship so if that bothers you I wouldn’t suggest reading it. Otherwise, it’s not bad.
