Guys, I wrote a fanfic where they're dating each other. I don't know what's wrong with me - I'm obsessed with these two. You guys understand me right? I'm not crazy right?
Anyways, this is my first time doing this so I'm embarrassed. I don't know where else to put it so I'm putting it here.
Enjoy...
Incheol comes home late. The car door shuts with a dull thud. He stands there for a moment, jaw tight and shoulders stiff from the day’s weight. By the time he reaches the apartment door, his anger weighs heavy and unresolved beneath his skin.
He knocks once. There’s a pause. Then the door creaks open.
Pyeonghwa stands there in an oversized T-shirt and loose pajama pants, hair soft and slightly mussed. He steps aside to let him in.
“…You’re home late.”
Incheol doesn’t answer. He walks past him in silence. Pyeonghwa watches him closely as he enters, with the door clicking shut behind them.
Incheol shrugs off his coat, tosses his briefcase onto the couch. He loosens his tie with a sharp tug, and drops down heavily. He tips his head back and exhales, eyes closed, saying nothing.
“….”
Pyeonghwa doesn’t push. He moves quietly instead—hanging up the coat, taking the briefcase, and putting it away. He’s careful and deliberate, as if any wrong sound might shatter something fragile.
When he returns, Incheol hears soft footsteps. A faint shuffle. Then warmth. Two arms wrap around his leg. Incheol opens his eyes.
Pyeonghwa sits on his knees in before him, firmly holding onto his leg. He looks up at Incheol through long lashes, his expression calm and unreadable as always. His lashes flutter.
“Did something happen?”
Incheol stares down at him with that cold, impassive gaze Pyeonghwa knows so well—knows and loves. Heat curls low in Pyeonghwa’s stomach under the weight of it. Incheol tilts his head slightly, eyes distant and assessing. Then he shifts his foot forward and places it against Pyeonghwa’s groin. Pyeonghwa’s breath catches. His heart pounds loudly in his chest as he grips Incheol’s leg tighter and rolls his hips forward, grinding against the hard shoe.
“Ah…”
A breathy sound escapes him, relief flooding through his body. Incheol watches him closely. Pyeonghwa meets his gaze without hesitation. Incheol presses down. “Nh—!” Pyeonghwa moans, cheek resting against Incheol’s thigh. He melts into him, pliant and eager, basking in that piercing stare. As Incheol looks down at him—at the way he yields so willingly—his hands move to his belt. The buckle comes undone. Pyeonghwa’s eyes drop instantly, fixed on Incheol’s crotch, anticipation tightening in his chest. The zipper lowers slowly, painfully so. His mouth waters. He grinds faster against Incheol’s foot, panting, needy and feverish. Incheol frees himself from his trousers, hard and ready. He sits up and leans forward.
One hand comes down harshly, fingers tangling in the back of Pyeonghwa’s hair. He yanks him forward without warning. Pyeonghwa responds immediately, mouth opening as he presses his tongue along the base of Incheol’s length. One hand slips away from Incheol’s leg to wrap around him, stroking the shaft. His lips reach the tip, licking it slowly, teasing. “Ha…” Incheol exhales. Pyeonghwa takes him into his mouth, sucking skillfully.
Incheol’s brows draw together as quiet sounds slip past his lips. His grip loosens, fingers stroking gently through Pyeonghwa’s hair. Pyeonghwa looks up at him at the tender touch, eyes soft despite everything. Then Incheol shoves his head down, violently.
“Kkeugh!”
Pyeonghwa chokes, eyes watering as he takes him fully.
Both of Incheol’s hands hold the back of his head now. He then lifts his hips, thrusting slowly and deliberately. Their eyes stay locked—Incheol’s gaze narrowed and intent—as his thumbs press into Pyeonghwa’s temples. Heat leaks into Pyeonghwa’s underwear, his body responding helplessly.
Pyeonghwa grinds into Incheol’s foot, harder, more desperate. He matches his pace with Incheol’s thrusts, feeling his high approaching.
Incheol’s grip tightens. His pace quickens.
“...Ugh!”
His body tenses before he groans and releases, spilling down Pyeonghwa’s throat. Pyeonghwa cums shortly after, liquid spilling through his pants and sullying Incheol’s polished dress shoe.
He swallows eagerly, taking everything without complaint. When it’s over, Incheol relaxes back, breathing slowly and heavily. Pyeonghwa pulls away, wiping at the corners of his mouth. He licks his fingers clean, savoring the last traces, eyes still on Incheol.
The living room remains quiet, only filled with the sounds of their panting and moans.
Hi guys! I finished writing the fic on a Google doc, I'll share it all once I get an AO3 account. I'll message you all on the 13th with a link to the fic. In the meantime, can you guys give me more ideas to write about? I want to write more but I'm not sure. Maybe a doctor and patient AU? Doctor Incheol and patient Pyeonghwa? Or college professor Incheol and college student Pyeonghwa? Lol, I'm not sure what else to write. I want to write a looooot og crazy smut scenes (hehe) but having a bit of a mini plot before going into one helps. Please do share your thoughts and ideas. <3
Representative Lee and Kwonsoo purposefully exiled Incheol to Pyeonghwa with the intent that Pyeonghwa could direct his animosity and hatred towards Incheol. Waiting for the situation to eventually escalate, their goal was to get rid of Incheol (who mainly did the dirty work for them) by either having him thrown in jail or firing him.
This would redirect the blame for what happened to the residents from her to Incheol. She would end up walking away with her hands clean while Incheol talks the fall for all the crimes committed for the sake of the redevelopment project. Her choosing to exile Incheol is proof that, from the very beginning of his career, she was only going to utilize him as a scapegoat.
For the longest time, Incheol thought he stood beside Cha Kwonsoo and Rep. Lee. He naively thought his loyalty and obedience to her made him irreplaceable. But he was wrong. The people who are actually irreplaceable aren't loyal and obedient dogs like him. They’re cold-hearted, selfish, and opportunistic like Cha Kwonsoo.
It could be seen that Incheol is no better than Cha Kwonsoo, as he himself stepped over the lives of others for years to reach his very own goals. But, to me, what separates Cha Kwonsoo and Joo Incheol is that Incheol still has a heart.
Notice the difference between Incheol and others in chapter two. As the residents are protesting, you see Incheol among many men in suits behind the barricade of security guards. They indifferently dismiss the protests of the residents, thinking of them as nuisances. You can even see a few of them snickering to one another. Incheol, on the other hand, grimaces. His face is dark, and he can’t even bring himself to lift his head.
Incheol tries to desensitize himself - to be like them. So he can commit his sins without guilt. But he can’t be like them. Because he still has his humanity (though it’s been very numbed down), he is able to still feel guilt, and that is why the author made him our main character in the first place. But now, he has no choice but to face his wrongdoings.
Incheol told Pyeonghwa, “You sell this place, and I’ll help you live a normal life,” only to find out the reason why Pyeonghwa is living like this in the first place was part of his own work. He indirectly partook in the death of his mother and now wants to take the only thing he has left in this world - his gym.
Incheol, who once looked down on Pyeonghwa - thinking he was a foolish, stubborn, and abnormal sexual deviant - has to face him now. He has to face the product of what his hard work and dedication to Rep. Lee has done to himself and others.
I believe Pyeonghwa will be both Incheol’s karma and salvation… punishing him for his crimes yet saving him from the blackhole of the political world.
The fact that Incheol's whole character is basically: "If it's for the sake of my career(more specifically, Rep. Lee), I can do anything." puts him in positions where he can easily become the villain or the victim in this story. He's both willing to harm others and allow harm to himself.
When Hyori told him that he'd even die if Rep. Lee told him to die, I thought it was an exaggeration. An empty insult that was said out of disappointment towards Incheol being an insincere and dishonest partner. But, she's actually right - if she were to tell him to jump off a building, he'd literally ask, "...How many stories high?"
This is so abnormal. Even when he's being subjected to such torture and humiliation, the first thing he thinks of is her cold and harsh words. Like wow.
Who is Rep. Lee, and why is she actually such a terrifying character? We barely see her, but she's so domineering; every couple of chapters, her presence is hard to ignore. Even sending one little text, telling Incheol, "Don't come up for now ^^," puts so much pressure and stress on him.
This author is sooo fucking good at making readers feeeeel. Most manhwas I practically skim through, and this is the first time I've actively kept up with an unfinished BL like this. She actually makes me want to think, theorize, speculate, and analyze every action and word from these characters. Sssssoooo goooooood.
I agree with you. Although most of the comment seems not liking the latest chapter because of the R scene, but I know that kind of things happen irl of KR society. Someone powerful (Rep.Lee) pressing on their underling (Incheol) to butter-up someone (Pyeonghwa) to get what they want. It is harsh work environement. And I can feel the pressure miles away from the plot. Imagine you stressing out your work and try to carry it out while swallowing your pride and ego only to get your replacement ready back in the office. That is shit.
I’m noticing everyone is arguing about whose on the top and whose on the bottom or not lmao. I get it, to be honest, Pyeonghwa would probably look really cute getting f*cked however I’m pretty sure there is an actual reason as to why Pyeonghwa wants to f*ck Incheol rather than being f*cked by Incheol. This is very long and all based on my assumptions and theories btw guys. I feel like I’m overthinking it but this author is very intentional with every single detail so…
I’ve seen some speculation online on how Pyeonghwa may have been a victim of sexual abuse as a child regarding his hypersexual behavior. It’s not uncommon for childhood sexual trauma to lead to hypersexuality or addiction to sex. If this is true, I suspect that Officer Park was the one who molested Pyeonghwa throughout his adolescence. He could have also been the person who helped coach Pyeonghwa in his boxing as, I suspect, he was a father figure to Pyeonghwa.
When we saw Pyeonghwa’s flashback of Officer Park in chapter 16, we can see he shares a resemblance with Incheol. That polished authoritative figure, paired with the way he soothes Pyeonghwa, telling him “Pyeonghwa-ah… you’re okay.” The way Pyeonghwa woke up looking uncomfortable by the flashback, further makes me feel his relationship with him was not a good one.
Pyeonghwa’s attraction to Incheol is so interesting to me and I think it stems from his previous relationship with Officer Park. He wants to be hurt by Incheol, he wants to f*ck Incheol rather than get f*cked by him. When Incheol harshly grabs Pyeonghwa’s face and tells him to shut his mouth, Pyeonghwa’s first thought is “I want to f*ck him” rather than “I want to be f*cked by him”. There’s this desire to both get hit by and to dominate Incheol. It’s as though he wants to be physically hurt by a man (especially a man with qualities like Officer Park) who probably hurt him emotionally, but also to dominate and f*ck them as well. And then there’s that quiet side of him who wants to be cared for. The way he buries his face into Incheol’s back, clinging onto him like some kid. All of these desires deep inside him come out so intensely when it comes to Incheol.
Those men told Incheol that before Officer Park, there was a family that ran the place: a father and a little kid who looked like a girl. I’m assuming this kid is Pyeonghwa and the father is his as well. Looking at his character design, Pyeonghwa’s a pretty boy with big upturned eyes, has a small face and long hair. So, it wouldn’t be hard to believe he was mistaken for a girl when he was younger. Because there was no mention of a woman, this makes me believe at that point his mother had already passed away. They said the kid was a fifth grader, and by the time the gym was bought by officer Park, Pyeonghwa would have been around 10 years old. I believe after the death of Pyeonghwa’s father, Officer Park stepped in and served as a father figure to Pyeonghwa until he was 20. (when Pyeonghwa was given the gym)
And after Officer Park was promoted, he abandoned Pyeonghwa. Went to the Songmoon branch, settled down with a wife, then moved abroad. (If this is true, I would not be surprised. Many abusers are able to move on in life like nothing ever happened, meanwhile their victims are stuck in time, suffering) Someone on twitter pointed out that before, the date on Pyeonghwa’s calendars were stuck on the date that the gym was sold by Officer Park. However, after Incheol entered his life, the date began to move again. It’s like his time literally unfroze.
I get this feeling that there is pretty much not a single soul on the planet (currently) that cares for Pyeonghwa on a deep level. He has no family, he seemingly has no friends, and it looks as though he only hired Sunkyung as a part timer to at the very least experience the tiniest bit of genuine human interaction. And even then he’s just her boss. So when Incheol gently caresses his face, asking “Who hurt you?”, despite knowing it’s not coming from a genuine place - he literally cannot help but feel touched(?) by it. In chapter 4, as Pyeonghwa trudges up the stairs in his yellow jacket, in one panel there’s this look on his face. It’s just so… desolate? He looks down at the stairs, not even noticing Incheol’s presence until he speaks. It’s like he's a living zombie, dead inside yet moving. And once Incheol speaks to him, the light above him literally turns on like he’s some sort of angel lol. And Pyeonghwa, though annoyed and confused, (his face) literally brightens up.
I love your analysis and attention to detail! rlly interesting but i do think in regards to sex positions it could just be a matter of preference? sometimes its just abt what feels good rather than some suppressed power struggle, although that could be part of it too. anyways i love this manwha cus it separates "top" from being necessarily dominant - surprise, pyeonghwa is a masochist! - so i don't think his preference as a top has anything to do with wanting to reclaim power and dominance. also, tops being seen as dominant/powerful and bottoms submissive has always felt to me as reflective of heteronormative dynamics (receiver = "less than"), and having these fixed boxed beliefs on smth as carnal as sex positions and pleasure reinforces the internalized misogyny rooted in traditional gender roles that affects not only women obviously but gay men too. or maybe im just reading too much into it :/
i i like that you mentioned hypersexuality because it really does match the way pyeonghwa is portrayed. but the idea that his attraction to incheol might be tied to something painful from his past makes the entire situation feel a lot heavier. if he is drawn to incheol because incheol resembles someone who hurt him before, then the story becomes much more tragic. i honestly hope that is not where the author is taking it.
i want his interest in incheol to be based on who incheol is right now, not on a subconscious repetition of something harmful that he experienced when he was younger. the author is very intentional with details though, so the possibility is there. if the story eventually confirms that his desire, his behavior, and the way he reacts to incheol are shaped by trauma, then it adds depth to his character but also a lot of sadness. i really hope his feelings come from something genuine and not from a place of old wounds.
No, you're not reading into it too much at all. I completely understand what you mean.
The reason I said that was because, from what I'm seeing, sex and violence mean more to Pyeonghwa than just pleasure. At first I assumed he simply just preferred doing the f*cking but I just wanted to make a connection to his sexual behavior to his supposed past traumas.
I feel like he has this inner desire to "conquer" what's hurting him so I was wondering if this applied in the bedroom aswell.
I actually do think his feelings towards Incheol will be genuine. I'm just assuming his strong attraction towards Incheol might stem from maybe having daddy issues? Idk lol.
I believe before meeting Incheol, Pyeonghwa had no set preferences with sexual partners. All the bottoms he was with before seem to be experienced and all he's looking for is someone he could f*ck as well as be willing to inflict pain onto his body.
I'm not sure if you noticed but shortly after meeting Incheol, Pyeonghwa seems to have begun hooking up with older men more.
At the end of chapter 5, the hookup on his phone is a clear older male who slightly resemble Incheol (similar hair and face shape).
And in chapter 15, the sex buddy texting him says "This hyung will bring you something yummy later, see you soon". Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the word "hyung" in Korea is used to refer to older males.
I believe the author is extremely intentional with every panel she puts out so I think she's trying to tell us that after meeting Incheol, Pyeonghwa searched for others similar to him (more mature that is) and despite all these hook ups and matches, none other could satisfy him. Yet only smelling his suit jacket was enough for him to empty out a whole box of tissues. Only Incheol.
If you compare how Incheol “hurts” Pyeonghwa to his other sexual partners or even his opponents in the boxing matches, there is a huge difference. After Pyeonghwa gets beat up in the ring, he leaves with scratches, bruises, and all sorts of open wounds. As opposed to Incheol, who knocks him out with one good punch. A punch that Pyeonghwa even feels refreshed from after waking up. Incheol chokes Pyeonghwa with his hands wrapped completely around his neck, squeezing so hard that Pyeonghwa’s eyes roll back. On the other hand, when Pyeonghwa’s sexual partners choke him during sex, (refer to chapter 16) they leave scratches from their nails digging into his neck. When Incheol punches Pyeonghwa in chapter 18, he aims solely for the side of his face and Pyeonghwa dazes and bleeds from the impact. He avoids his nose and teeth, making sure not to actually break anything despite being in a fit of rage. It’s as though he hurts him… but with care? And in chapter 15, when we see the flashbacks from Pyeonghwa’s POV, it’s all a mix of the tender and caring moments of Incheol (carrying him on his back, kissing him) as well as the moments where Incheol was rough with him (grabbing him by his shirt, choking him). For a hardcore masochist like Pyeonghwa, Incheol is practically the ideal partner, no? And not to mention, a handsome, older, and stronger man like Incheol is probably Pyeonghwa’s type to a T… It hasn’t happened yet, but I feel like Pyeonghwa is going to become almost obsessed with Incheol. He hits him and it quite literally does feel like a kiss lol.

I wrote an AO3 fanfic bc I miss them
