To be honest, I really like the premise of the manhwa involving those eldritch monsters; I think it fits the "guideverse" well, and you could really craft a compelling, interesting story out of it—especially with horror elements. That aspect of insanity, in particular, suits the eldritch/Lovecraftian setting perfectly. I think if the focus had been more on the story, it could have turned out to be a really interesting manhwa—though, admittedly, a lot of people read it mainly for the sex or romance

The final episode of Season 3 came out in Korean today , I think Season 3 is the very last season, too.

A master/slave yaoi set in that era—I mean, it was obvious there would be a lot of criticism; she really should have just stuck to cowboys, or if she absolutely wanted to draw or tell a master/slave story, she should have done it in a completely different era.

Endings are always a bit of a touchy subject for many people; often they aren't satisfying, or are simply poorly written—some love them, others don't. Personally, I feel this ending fits perfectly—there couldn't have been a better one—and it leaves plenty of room for interpretation.

If Hojung doesn't run away this time but confronts the debt collectors, it would be the first time he's dealt with his problems himself without running away. That would be a significant character development. His continued attachment to his family makes sense from a parent's perspective; we've seen in other chapters that he worries about his son. I can understand that. The debt collectors don't want to kill Hojung, but rather send him to a camp abroad where he's supposed to work until he probably dies there.

A quick update: the manhwa will be on a two-week break as the number of chapters is being increased to 31; this means three more chapters will be released.

In case any people are interested, the author sometimes answers fan questions about the characters. One person asked if Ricky would search for Hojung until his death if Hojung really did run away. The author said that Ricky would definitely search for Hojung, but not forever. He would then stop his snuff job, change his name, and become a person who remembers the past.
