i was treated similarly-worse by my biological mother. also tried really hard to change myself, acting calm and mature so that i could be loved and have an anxious-avoidant attachment....but i didn't become a psychopathic rapist?? and when a friend or partner pointed something out to me, i reflected on it & how my traumatic childhood made me develop that trait, then tried to change? where's my "you have a pitiable backstory so every cruel thing you do can be excused" card XD really pmo when authors do this. feels like justification instead of explanation. we are more than our starting circumstances.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i really loved this manhwa and i love angst, but the past couple chapters have been kinda awful. i remember that i really liked the smut in this, unlike in most comics, bc it felt sensual and awkward and warm. this felt awful to read. like sex for the sake of proving something to themselves/each other, rather than sex for the sake of connection or curiosity or pleasure

im surprised at all the comments against the mc. the ml consistently pissed me off. he chose to hurt the mc deliberately, again and again. i found him unlikable for most of the series. his aunt told the mc everything--why did he have to hear it from her? ml would have never told him anything and just left him feeling unwanted. and the mc kissed the prosecutor when the things had been broken off, anyways. he didn't do anything wrong.

aw this latest chapter (49) captured one of my anxieties: whether i'll still be able to legally marry whoever i love by the time i find them. i've often thought like niti; not sure that marriage means much to me (besides the joy of saying "wife"/spouse/etc), but thinking of politics & current events makes me feel like i should, for legal reasons (ie being able to visit if ill or injured, etc) and bc people have worked so hard for decades to make it a possibility
i wish others, or at least his lover or sister, could see the spirits. it's too sad and unsatisfying that he's the only one, and that they went through all that without anyone else seeing what was really happening.

i wish the fl was a bit more "bad". if you move at euclid's pace, as we've been doing, you go 37+ chapters with no romantic development, let alone a kiss. and it's not like there's been development in other plot points either. 37 chapters in and we're STILL getting premise and backstory set up. what have any of the characters, including protagonists and antagonists, done thus far? kicked out one family, okay?

they KNOW his father is violent, arrogant, and abusive. "it's best to deal with it properly" okay that would be to block his homophobic ass, and never speak again. it's true that i'm biased bc of my own life experiences, but the "you should always talk to your parents" or "give your parents a 90th chance" mentality i see in manga & manhwa pisses me off. it's a harmful mentality that puts people in danger irl as well :(
LOL it's been a while so when i read the latest chapter i couldn't remember who dio was. thought he was romeo (blonde princess who disguised herself as a prince, now studying abroad? or something?) and was wondering why she was so upset that the princess likes her fiancé. i like the ML enough, or actually i like his angst and suffering enough, that i don't really have second ml syndrome for once. i remember i liked dio in the beginning when she first went to the temple, but he's been a 2-dimensional background character for so long that his feelings just annoy me a bit. i just want the ML to learn that her death causes the regressions, so i can watch him be in further turmoil (◕▿◕✿)
pushy ml x doormat blushy mc; it feels like your stereotypical shoujo from two decades ago. its really gross that the ml slept with the drunk mc while he was stone cold sober (drinking only coke vs someone who drank so much he fell asleep). i hate that trope and how SA is romanticized. the power dynamic feels one-sided, and the ml feels kinda sleazy. maybe later on, he'll have some sort of reckoning where he regrets treating the mc so casually, or maybe he actually knew the mc from before and deliberately targeted him; either way, his affection feels cheap.
