Except if you follow along the damn story you'd know Lucas and Ijekial both hate each other and would never actually do this because they're both extremely possesive over Athy and that's why so many readers despise this ending. It's out of character and miserable for both of them
It’s because it’s not part of the ORIGINAL novel. The readers waited years for the side stories to get adapted so their frustrations are valid. Heck, even the korean readers were disappointed by spoon’s choices. The side stories they made was not bad (I was also overjoyed by the felily content) but it wasn’t what the readers expected especially when one of the stories was about lucas’ background and his growing family with athy.

I don’t think people would be this much disappointed for a “what if” scenario if it weren’t for the fact that spoon skipped Lucas’ story or just adapted the og side stories. The novel reader’s reactions are just as valid but I guess to some they’d think they’re ungrateful for showing frustrations and criticisms
I'm kind of upset they "redeemed" the king who abused her just for a feel good moment where she's now "allowed" to marry Ethan. This is the guy who showed 0 remose until he died in her last life, the only reason it's different now is because she wanted less.

Honestly S1 is so boring in my opinion and I only stayed because the art style was cool but holy crap S2 is fantastic, honestly one of the best yaois I've ever read definitely top 5 for me. If S1 wasn't so gosh dang slow I'd be reccomending this to everyone
Actually S1 was very interesting with all the action and fights between Seth and Horus then discovering the mess Orisis caused and meeting new characters. It was good imo.

This is pacing was literally Rupert going "Tori is gone now no one loves me :(" then Lalliette going "Well I d d d don't hate you anymore!" and then Rupert going "Wa wa wa wareallyy ;D?!!" Like hell nah bro this used to be so good I thought they'd actually have some empathy with Tori's plotline and not just cheaply kill her so the main couple can move on that's so shitty
