Like, bro, did you even READ his backstory? This man literally hasn’t cried for YEARS—probably 20–30 years—and now he’s finally in a situation where he feels safe enough to show his vulnerable side to the MC. So yeah, obviously he’s going to cry. He’s literally releasing years of suppressed emotions that he’s been carrying around. What did you expect, one single tear, a dramatic wipe, and then “anyway, moving on”?
It’s not some random “crying trope” the author keeps throwing in for the sake of it. There is an actual reason behind it, and it fits his character development. He’s not crying because the author suddenly decided, “Hmm, we need another crying scene.” He’s crying because he’s finally allowing himself to feel and express emotions he’s been suppressing for decades.
And some of you seriously need to understand that emotional distress doesn’t look the same for everyone. People can hyperventilate, break down, shake, cry repeatedly, or even go through shock without it looking like the dramatic version you apparently learned from TV. There are plenty of real-life situations that are far more intense than what’s shown here.
So if the crying annoys you, fine, that’s your personal preference. But calling it “nonstop” or “unnecessary” while completely ignoring the character’s backstory and context is not criticism—it’s just proving you didn’t understand what you were reading.

It was a BL manhwa, and I think the ML was a tiger or some kind of supernatural being who could take human form. I vaguely remember that, toward the end, he disappeared for around 1–2 years and then came back to the MC, and they eventually reunited. I think the MC waited for him during that time. It was probably set in a modern setting. I know this is extremely vague, but if this sounds familiar to anyone, please tell me the name!
I just hope this doesn’t go down the toxic route later. Like, after Top Career in Acting, I’m worried he might suddenly turn toxic or the story might start forcing unnecessary non-con or other toxic stuff. I'm telling you, this story is shit. Not because it has rape or anything like that, but because the actual plot is literally shit at this point. You won't even believe that, by the end of thelmost everything that happened to the MC was basically for nothing. Like, Dominic just let him go. What the fuck were you doing for those six years? And his mother KNEW Dominic loved her ????and all that shit happen because of her to mc ? Bro, are you fucking serious?
And then we find out the MC parents are alive So what the fuck was Dominic doing all this time? And Dominic raped him, while Jason/Johan/whatever his name was also raped him multiple times. At this point, how is any of this even supposed to be believable?
The ending makes it even worse. If Dominic never actually loved the MC and was only seeing his mother in him, then what was the point of everything?
Yes, they somehow tried to make the ML's fucked-up behaviour more understandable, but it still doesn't make the plot make sense. And the biggest problem is that neither Dominic nor the other guy actually suffered any consequences for what they did. The MC and ML are the only ones who suffered because of all these people, while the people responsible basically got away with everything.None
So what's even the point of putting all that trauma into the story if you're not going to give it any meaningful consequences or payoff? It just feels like the author kept adding fucked-up shit for shock value and then didn't know what to do with any of it.
The point is that this story has no actual plot or character development. Literally nothing makes sense anymore. I genuinely think the author ran out of ideas for what to do with Dominic and Jason, so they were like, “Oh, we're supposed to feel sorry for the MC now? Fine, let's just let him go.” After raping him, drugging him, and doing everything else to him, suddenly they feel bad and are like, “Okay, bye-bye, you're free now.” Bro, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT THEN?
And neither of them even faced any real consequences for what they did. Then, by the end, we find out the MC is apparently one of the richest people in the world. So what the fuck was he doing all this time? Was he actually in debt or whatever? I don't even know anymore. If he's that rich, then why was he in that situation for six fucking years? And what were his parents doing all this time? I genuinely thought they were dead because of how the story treated the situation.
At this point, it feels like the author just kept throwing trauma at the MC without actually knowing what to do with any of it afterward. There was no payoff, no proper consequences, and barely any logic behind the whole thing. The more the ending explains, the less the entire story makes sense.
I mean valid crash out. Wdym he won't be able to see her for 4 years since the magic tower is strict. But Without Maxi he would have lost everything. I hope they talk this out. We want Maxi to become her own person who can defend herself and the kingdom you rule. I really wish Riftan can accept this and once Maxi depart they are in good terms .
