The last few chapters of the side stories had me questioning...is this heated rivalry!? We've got ice hokey, hot russian guy x hot wasian guy, and a get away cottage that's actually a mansion??! Also when Caesar said "give me a kiss"... Ilya - "gimme kiss"
Hahaha maybe heated rivalry if Ilya was a black flag... this dynamic is sooooo toxic... poor Leewon...this is why I usually don't like mafia based stories- the ml is always so fcked up, and there's always dub con or as here bloody r*pe and drugging- I always think it's gonna be different- nOPE.
But even I was flabbergasted when Caesar actually shot Leewon to stop him getting away- like just straight up shot him three times- and then drugged and r*ped him for a week- iggggggg it makes sense for the character realistically- but could we like not- and these scenes are always brushed over and romanticised. Then ofc later on Caesar did not cease to be a violent wretch to he just switched up tactics and turned the knife on himself to manipulate Leewon into staying with him...and then drugged and r*ped him AGAIN. Shocker. Imagine if Leewon actually DID leave- Caesar is 100% murdering his ass- like baby boy u actually don't have a choice u gon be dead-
Honestly, there's too much to unpack here in my late night ramblings- like this is still a well written and paced manhwa and story- and deserves its spot as one of the current bl manhwa classics- anyway it's not like those lack black flag characters.
leewon just had stockholm syndrome, i mean the race is the only thing thats similar to heated rivalry so idk what kinda comparison ur making but i wanna hear why u compared them
