He's so sad, even his armpits are crying (ch.4)
Side note, why are the pipis so shiny? I can understand the schlick making it shiny, but with the lack of light inside the human bumhole, I'd imagine it'd be less glossy looking in there
Anyway this story felt like condensed milk
This means the doctor's still alive next season.
Sorry y'all, I love the banger theories and Guwon talk, but I love that frail old man more wifedat
(joking)
Imagine all this was just a set up for the true male lead that Yeomin meets, and this is a story about doing what's hardest for the ones you love (being vulnerable and actually SAYING you love someone, or in that scenario, letting them go)... or it's just the better Jinx
Anyway, I'm hoping for a 20+ chasing arc where the ml turns into a yearning mess who cries and blushes and speaks his mind for once smh
I won't say too many spoilers here, but read with caution!
I read this nonstop because of how the story started to pick up and take on a unique narrative compared to other bls out there, especially with the characters, even if they were originally shown to be pretty stereotypical (which isn't bad imo!)
The character development was great, and the relationship development was lovely. But unfortunately, I couldn't shake off the fact that their whole relationship started because the mc found ml as a child and cared for him until he at least APPEARED to be a teenager. And yes, I do see how it was hinted that the ml had lived for much longer beforehand and (SPOILER!) only turned into a child because that was what he first saw after lingering for a while, but it was never explicitly said how old he was or how long he roamed. It was never stated how long he was in his child form nor was it mentioned how old he became once he and the mc have sex. Mc didn't initiate it at first, but that means nothing when you feed into it later on.
I don't understand why their relationship had to be deep and almost mutually obsessive because of that. They could have met as adults or as children, leading to a more natural (and ethical) path to romance between the two, but the fact we didn't rubbed me the wrong way.
Major spoilers now. The way the mc became aware of their past lives together and how he raised the ml, then DIDN'T CARE and even make jokes about it, saying "you were just like this when you were younger" made me really uncomfortable. Yes, I know it's technically different now and that they are two consenting adults NOW. However, it's just forced to make it true love when the ml never had a chance to fall in love with anyone else but the mc. It doesn't make it special, it makes it funneled and borderline pedo content.
The art was obviously good, as bad art would've made this unbearable, and the characters were interesting, each to their own degree, but I can't get over this part.
The concept of an obsessed, yearning male lead doesn't need to come from the fact that he's only ever seen the main character. I'd even argue that, in a world where the male lead is surrounded by people beautiful, powerful, or charming, all he WANTS to see is the main character. This type of ml isn't swayed by others because he chooses to love this trusted person with all his heart, not because he has memories of his lover raising him.
Anyway, I'm sorry this is so long. Overall, I'd say this was an interesting, captivating story that stained its side with the flashback and lore between the characters. Don't let this stop you from reading this, since it WAS sweet with good angst! I just think there were better ways to go about their past.
I love the main couple as much as the side, and I love them together even more. I want them all to get comfy with each other and just be friends They're all so cute and glasses (I fear I forgot his name) is adorable. I still do prefer the main couple a bit and love to see them reappear in the sides, but their story to me feels pretty wrapped up now! I love them. I hope there are more side stories that are basically just another season full of silly nonsense these guys go through together, all four or not
The way they actually started communicating really well with each other toward the end of the series?? The way they're both batshit for each other??? Was stressed like a mfer reading this series, but I didn't regret it at all. Still don't.
The characters felt logical and I could understand and enjoy their development + chemistry with each other. This is defo dark romance though and not something I'd recommend to my friends without any heavy warnings first LMFAO (if the title alone isn't already a big enough flag)
Praying we get a butt ton of side stories in the future!
I understand what the author was trying to go for, and the execution was really cute! I enjoyed their story and liked how the conflicts were wrapped up, but I honestly can't get over how they met bruh You're deadass telling me that the mc was criticizing his ex for teaching a minor and then going out with said minor the moment she turned 20, when he did the same thing... I'm not saying that his intention was to date that teenager in the first place, and I understand that this was meant to cause some friction at first, but it's such a big part of their relationship that it was hard for me to read sometimes during that whole ex situation. Then in the side stories, though they met briefly, the mc met the ml when he was a child! I don't understand why they can't meet as adults and still be a cute couple.
I know that the mc didn't begin having feelings until much later and that this isn't grooming, so don't get that mixed up. I just felt weird about how the author went about their entire meeting in both the main and side stories. Why make them so young if the plan was to make them split up for 3 years? Ml was still a minor when he confessed and made mc feel uncomfortable, and that is what caused them to split. I honestly feel like them having a close relationship as a teacher x student is what threw me off, because at least in the side stories, the mc met him so briefly that it was probably the most insignificant, forgettable moment of his life, THEN they met again and bonded, which felt less weird imo It's still weird, but at least he wasn't an adult who got really close to a minor, then eventually got together with that minor. There's just no good way to put it.
Other than that, this story IS cute and the chibis are adorable the story flows coherently and the art isn't ugly. I just needed to vent about... that.
What fries me abt kaizen is that they have this little block of credits for nonexistent people, like fym credit goes to "staff".. who are they broski, just say chat jipiti or something if you can't even lie right you wanna have a team so bad, but bro can't stop glancing at that ai booty
This is basically a story where you watch someone so mentally hinged in their toxic world that the one UNhinged starts to crumble, which is an interesting take on the usual toxic bullshit we usually see. At some point, you start to question who's more unhinged when you see how the mc/bottom acts up in the last chapter.
I can't feel bad for any of these mfs though, they're the ashes to the urn for each other, and it ended at a good point. Any longer and it would've felt like Jinx and Stalking Killing's ugly retarded baby.
While I agree the seme/top is where he wants to be NOW, the unnecessary, painfully long flashback madeit clear that he WASN'T where he wanted to be. If you're reading this before starting, I recommend skipping to either chap 52 or 51 when the flashback starts. The flashback ends on one of these chapters and the rest of said chapter continues with the present.
The motives for these characters were so shallow, that it was hard to root for any of them, which isn't bad don't get me wrong! I like lighthearted, comedic stories with low stakes; however, this story tried to be something intense and subtle at the same time. Mc wallows by himself, regrets by himself, and thinks he's leading the relationship to this and that direction by himself... for what? I understand that it's for the sake of the plot, but when the leads ultimately become happy together, mc becomes self destructive and tries to end the relationship constantly instead of saying what's on his mind. I can let this slip by if this were a manhwa deserving of the emotional weight this mc brings, but it isn't. Every mistake or bad decision he makes goes completely unpunished and the only one suffering is the ml, who loves this asshole endlessly for no real reason.
I did enjoy the episodes as they slowly became more loving, but it was rough from start to finish and even worse in the middle when their already known past was revealed to be as shitty as it sounded. If not MORE shitty because we're in the ml's pov there!
In short, this was the most bogus story ever, and the ml deserves an mc with real character development. If I WANTED to watch a twink bully and abuse the fuck out of a pathetic puppy himbo, I would've just went to the nearest beach done it myself ʕʘ‿ʘʔ
I adore pathetic, yearning, obsessed, possessive but only in a self destructive way tops, but holy shit this guy isn't even yandere-ish or purely batshit for the love of the game, he's js traumatized as fuck and all he gets is juicy booty
Ik that mc is handling him lovingly and is arguably good at calming him down with dat saucy bussy, but SHIT!! Boy has ONE dream of having a good life and has a meltdown cuz life was too good and he got so jealous of himself and the thought of his boo thang preferring the "better, loved version" of him, I'm crine
Also sad that we didn't get more baby moments, but it was a cute read overall. Defo recommend if you're not around family and want something to read without having to get too invested
Majority of these stories don't have conventional bottoms, some of them are more submissive than others, or fall into more cliches, but overall either the tops or bottoms stray from the typical either visual or personality most bl's have. I hope other people who also have my very specific tastes can enjoy this list! <3
