I read the novel and they remarried. ML saved him from trauma before and he was brainwashed by Shen Luoan that's why he was acting like that. His family didn't say anything about him being fooled. They didn't inform him so he doesn't have any clue. What he did is pure sht tho but I think both parties are wrong. He loves niannian but he thought it was wrong to do so since Luoan is the one who "saved" him and technically, he owes Luoan his life.
