i dont know how people arent getting it. this is emotional abuse and the uke is the victim. he literally had all his choices taken away from him, he is isolated from everyone but the seme, the only thing he CAN control is his body and reactions. the seme found himself obsessed with the uke but the uke did nothing wrong, he just showed brotherly affection. the seme's interest grew unchecked by the parents because of poor parenting. i see other topics saying how it's the uke's fault but i fail to see how the uke has ANY choice in this situation at all

sampling bias. almost all series recommended on social media platforms tend to be red flag. theres a trend even on booktok of liking red flag men, which extends to yaoi readers. even if there are good series reccomended on social media, the talk about the red flag (both positively and negatively) are more frequent and louder than the green flag series

lowkey this all started cause i picked up Yang ilwoo for a bit, people kept asking me to continue it since the translator hadn’t updated for like more 10 days.. i didn’t think it’d be a big deal, i was just trying to fill the gap while it was inactive.
but somehow it turned into a whole mess and people started coming at my translation nonstop… which i didn’t expect at all, even tho i already backed off and deleted the ilwoo chapters.
i’m really sorry it ended up this messy, especially with the double chapters and everything. didn’t mean for it to go this way at all

This! I do think the appropriate wait period is closer to 3 months of inactivity (scan group norm) but for independent uploaders, I don’t think that really applies. My issue is more with mango admins not cracking down on this and MTL uploads. They should bring back our ability to report chapter uploads!

Spoiler from novel, their no redemption arc cuz the seme actually taking revenge on the uke for something he done to him in past, he basically doing to the uke what he did to him, but by end he will admit that he went beyond revenge, and he planned on throwing the uke away after breaking him but jiwook basically going to develop Stockholm syndrome and tell juyeon not to abandon him and that he afraid the men who rspd him will come to do that again to him, he basically became scared of people and by end jiwook and juyeon kinda reached somehow a resolution they stay together but I believe their not love just jiwook being attached to juyeon and juyeon feeling possessive and obsessed over jiwook. More like he treat him like pet and jiwook is content with it as long as he not thrown away to the wolves and he actually enjoy being treated like that
