from someone who read a lot of disgusting shit, this for me its like the epitome of it, i feel like my mind its not the same after reading this, the author is so fucked up, whats wrong with her??????? to think that there was no tw and it was decided by the translators to put something on because this shit was so shitty that could traumatize people without them even knowing what they what getting into goddamn...curiosity really killed the cat, dont look into her other works..im warning..i dont even have words to describe how shitty this story is, and her other works too, someone should look into the authors history bc this is not normal, why someone only writes raping stories? rape and torture, all of them, and always tries to blame the victims with some weird ass nonsense plot? just to make the rapist look better??? what the fuckkk
i've been reading this manhwa since the first upload from jujucat from bato (rip) and as a person who read all chapters 3 times until the end of this i must say..this manhwa is messy written and has no development from the characters beside jo, and i'll explain why.
When we were first introduced to Ian, Jo was the mc (if you dont believe me read the first chapters again) all we had was his POV, until TJ was introduced.
After TJ was introduced Jo was still the mc until chapter 30 to 40, when Ian's POV was added and we only had his POV, what he was thinking and actions and everything..but then something started and this was the very beginning of the disaster..TJ crazy ahh fans. Fighting constantly in whatever comment about the manhwa..from twitter to bato, to bato to whatever social media that posted about wet sand..if you read this manhwa on bato before there's no way couldn't have see it...lololol even the celebrity of bato gleenmacqueensimp was in the fights with some TJ fans..and then everything went down for good. The chapters started to walk nowhere, ian getting fucked by Jo, ian getting fucked by TJ, some story about the gang, and more and more fucking between Ian and the ml's..TJ was portraid as a toxic character being manipulative, toxic, egoistic and obsessed ex lover to Ian since he showed up (the guy literally broke Ian's leg☠ and admited to Ian that he was doing some guilt trap on Ian to make him stay, kept slutshaming Ian and some other things lolol) Ian character in the beginning was someone who was looking for another perspective, that was trying to flee from his thug lifestyle and was searching for healing..and then we have Jo, literally just and average guy but was a try hard to Ian, and in general a good guy, who liked taking pictures and was leading a normal life. Remember about what i said about Jo being the one who had a development?? so, after a lot of fights in twitter about Ian and TJ and Ian and Jo, the author said who they favorite was, and it was TJ, so Jo is the only one..because he literally has no space in this story lolololol, he was just a pretty side character and thats it guys..at the end the author favoritism ruined the story and you can see it in the last chapters, TJ never actually apologize for being a shitty guy, and never really said that he loved ian (he has a tattoo but..the dude literally broke ian's leg a tattoo is a fucking nothing without development)..and Ian returned to square 0 towards the end, he character was reduced as TJ love interest and nothing more than that, he said to Jo he wasnt returning to TJ because he was trying to find himself but at the end he went back to TJ and we saw nothing about his jorney..and Jo just lead a normal life like always..there is open plots, and things that we're never going to know..this story started as a 10/10 but the end was 4/10 to me..and althrought the TJ fights was kinda of stupid, even TJ fans (the normal ones) said this end was rushed and nonsense and they never got an explanation..this story ended in a disaster and the author was childish..thats it.
bro..if this was an horror story TJ character would have been like sangwoo from killing stalking (he even broke ian's leg like sungwoo broke yoombun's☠) imagina having a ex lover that brokes your leg, manipulates, and has an toxic obsessive behavior so they keep coming back to your life? TJ character is perfect for an horror story, not an love triangle one.
See this is why I avoid love triangles especially this story.
When it first came out, I didn’t know it was a love triangle until I saw TJ. Then I dropped it.
I heard about the fights and spoilers and now the ending. I predicted it right away that TJ was going to win and he did.
Yikes about the story telling though.
Someone told me that wetsand is similar to back to school but it’s the opposite version where the good guy didn’t win and based of your description (especially the broken leg), it makes me wonder if the author was a fan of back to school and just didn’t get the message?
so guys i went through some searching, after all most people already know what jiwook did, he and his friends gang raped juyeon when he was a teen (sorry i dont remember his age correctly but it was around 16-17) and juyeon was younger and took pictures and sended it to juyeon's mother Althrought i think Jiwook is not a good person, and did that disgusting thing, Juyeon isnt better, he is actually pretty worse, a lot worse..after my reasearch about how things gonna end and its reall disgusting, Juyeon is going to make that Jiwook's friend rape Jiwook too( the friend is going to rescue Jiwook and Juyeon finds out) and i saw something about Juyeon making Jiwook do it with a dog (i really hope that i misunderstood it because if its true...damn) Jiwook will try to suicide, Juyeon doesnt let him do it, and in the end they i'll end up togheter in this messed up relationship. My opinion about this story that is absolutely about rape fetish not about revenge.Because if it was really about revenge juyeon already has it.he raped jiwook, made other guys gang rape him, tortured him, made him drop out of uni and now has PTSD. If it was about revenge jiwook would have probaly killed himself or juyeon would kill him. But its not, all the chapters is just rape rape rape rape torture and more rape and really detailed even the humiliations, real fetishised.
Thats it!! (sorry for the long ass comment, thanks for reading xoxo)
EDITED UPDTADE!!
guys i forgot to add...jiwook will get gang raped again, so just add to the pile of what will happen, and yes the dog thing is real☠☠ juyeon will made jiwook do it with a dog..................he will be gang raped again, and then the chapter that his friend try to save him and is forced to rape jiwook, and theres the dog thing so.....blerghhhhhh
i dont get it why TJ has all these fans, are we reading the same thing at all??? TJ is a twisted guy, he abused Ian in all ways he could, he did disgusting things to Ian and people still think he is a good match? seriously? "But its a comic" but its getting poorly written, there are several chapters that shows how much Ian wants Jo, but its afraid that he is not good enough, he doesnt know how to accept love without hurting. TJ is an abuser, i dont know how this story is going to end, but i really hope that the autor doesnt switch sides and puts Ian back with TJ, so what would be the point? making Ian realize that TJ is an abuser just to make him go back again?? it would make no sense.
It makes a lot of sense actually. Ian is unstable, that's why he thought that he wasn't good enough for Jo. Jo presents in his life a the prodigy of stability. But pretty much all of Ian's life, it's all been unpredictability and instability. He is more familiar with the fuck up world that he were in with TJ rather than the new, stable world with Jo.
That's why people who are abused in real life stays with the abusers. Most of them are misguided into thinking the familiar unstable life is better than the unfimiliar stable life. Pretty much that's just how our brains work in general, we tend to choose things that are familiar with us. And if Ian were to gets out of the familiar in chaos, it'll take many many many efforts coming from his conscience.
thats a cool pov!!..but i still think this is getting poorly written and making no sense. There are a lot of chapters that shows how much Ian realized that he doesnt want to go back to that life, there is chapter (sorry i dont remember the number) that TJ and Ian have sex in a dirty bathroom, when they finished TJ and Ian fights at the end of it, Ian looks around where he was, with TJ everything is messed and dirty, TJ just do whatever he wants and leaves Ian in a dark place, both material and mentally. And the chapters that shows Jo and Ian togheter has a more "vivid" background. But when it shows Ian POV of Jo, everything shines with Jo, but he doesnt feel worthy of that light he always feels apart, like he doesnt belong there because he is "filthy", the chapter that Jo points a guy in that guy shows it off cleary. Ian felt like he destroyed Jo's"purity" but Jo himself said he isnt pure, and Ian needs to stop thinking about him that way, like he is a kid that doesnt need to know the bad things in life and they actually talk about it. Ian improved a lot since the beginning of the story and he actually started thinking about what he wanted.Making him come back to TJ is not a good plot its just going and going leading to nowhere. i dont know how this is going to end, but for me i wish Ian ends alone. But this is just what i think
As a TJ fan, I like him because I like its relationship with Ian. Yes he does and did bad things, but I like that they have both loved each other for a veeeeeery long time but never could really be open about their relationship because of their environment. Yes it’s really toxic how he hurts Ian to keep him by his side but I like this side of him.
The fact that Ian is ALSO obsessed with TJ and can’t seem to leave him is another aspect I like.
I really like fluff and good guys too, but in this story I just freaking love how they can’t live without each other and the angst behind it
Yess, Jo is clearly, ultimately better for Ian. But it doesn't mean that this comic is poorly written as a whole. I said this based on the depth that the creator goes for Ian and TJ. They were written soo good because the complexities of the character's conscience really shows. I think it's more towards the ending that's poorly written. But honestly, I didn't know/don't want to predict the ending of this comic, has it actually ended? Or is Ian and TJ just a speculation?
And honestly if we do want the best for Ian, he do have to be alone. At least to figure his shit out now that he's out of that danger zone.
But based on the end of chapter 94, I can't say Ian would surely go back to TJ. Honestly tho, I haven't read this comic in awhile so I jumped for the latest chapter knowing I low-key forgot the characterization of the MC’s. So I do kinda forgot all of those build up of Ian trying to be better. If he did ended up with TJ, then it will be poorly written, as those build ups mounts up for nothing.
but Jo isnt refreshing good guy either lollll, he is not perfect and he commited mistakes in the story he is mostly an yellow flag to me compared to TJ who is a black flag. You think Ian loves TJ, but for me isnt love at all, its just familliarity, Ian has too much problems and having TJ by his side it would just add to it, because TJ likes manipulating Ian to do as he please just because of their past. If Jo didnt exist in this comic it could,ve been an psychological "tragic" ending like red mansion or blind play or even checkmate where they end togheter accepting their selfish and toxic relationship, but in this one this is not a good option because theres mental development from Ian and in these other stories it doenst, they start twisted and end twisted or even worse. but you can keep thinking otherwise, after all everyone can interpret the story in their own way
Yes I know Jo is not a Green flag but I wanted to give an example as to why people liking TJ can’t be reduced only to the classic Mafia boss personality. The same way people don’t prefer Jo over TJ only because he is a better choice/good guy for Ian.
I understand what you said but it’s based on the fact that people can’t change together. Ian has already changed just like you said, so I don’t see him going back to how things were / going in circles if he goes back with TJ. He has problems but being with TJ would not mean adding him more problems anymore since he has himself changed and TJ is starting to change.
Also why do you think it only familiarity? Ian was going to leave with Jo so why didn’t he accept ? Now that Ian has changed, he is not as tied to TJ anymore, and it seems like he is able to leave him behind if it’s only familiarity. If it’s just familiarity I don’t understand what’s keeping him from leaving with Jo, or leave at all. If he doesn’t go with Jo only because he is scared to hurt him and his family, maybe he is going solo trip mode all alone (even though there is no one anymore trying to kill him since the gang was annihilated)
i was talking about the medias and most of people on the comments, if you see why they like TJ is mostly because of his looks and mafia boss personality, there's even people defending him about the way he broke Ian's leg smth like that, or the way he abuses Ian's mind making him think that everything is his fault loll. BY ME its only a familiarity sense due to their past. Because Ian is used of not having anything, he and TJ met when they both had nothing, the only life he had was with a toxic relationship, murder and fights. Ian loved TJ, yes its true, but now i think its a just familiarity, Jo is new, his way of loving and thinking is different from TJ, thats why Ian is mostly confused, its easier for him to cope with TJ abuse because he is used to it, he doesnt have any expectations on TJ and with Jo its different, he doesnt know what do expect, he only think about the bad what if's "what if i stay with him and he ends messed up like me?" "i dont deserve this im filthy" "he is from a good family im from nothing" Ian's has a insecure mind. if in your perspective he loves TJ is fine, like i said you can interpret this story the way you seem fit or like. But for me this love triangle resembles a lot with Nana's case, hachi and takumi problematic and manipulative relationship or Ren and Nana O self destructive relationship TJ and Ian its like a fusion of them.
Okay I can get why his insecurities and fear of what could happen to Jo could be the main reason he is not leaving with Jo. Since I’ve just reread it, it makes me think of what Ian said about TJ when they were younger : Ian realized he didn’t like seeing TJ change because he cared for him. I guess he has somehow the same feelings toward Jo, Ian seemed genuinely shocked that Jo shot at Jamie (or was it TJ talking about Ian ? I felt like it wasnt clear who was talking about who, but since it was also about marrying someone and have kids I guess only TJ would speak like that and not Ian but it also seemed like it was Ian speaking ugh).
Also I am completely okay with my interpretation of Ian loving TJ and I am NOT trying to convince you, I just want to discuss to understand why you thought otherwise.
I haven’t thought of comparing Ian and TJ relationship to NanaxRen nor HachixTakumi so I can’t say anything about it. (I just know I like NanaxRen and wanted Hachi to be with Nobu instead )
If TJ did love Ian, he would've click on that since the start. He would've want the best for Ian and the best means TJ would be inexistent in Ian's life. “They want to sleep with each other after all” don't you realize that 2 people can repeatedly slept with each other out of lust chemistry and not love? Ian kept going back to him “just because” is a repeated pattern of familiarity. Ian was scared that he's “going to ruin Jo” when Jo's clearly a grown ass man, came from his biases that he only belonged in that fucked up world. Ian associates himself with that fucked up world, thus, he only ever felt familiar with instability.
But after giving it a second thought, they did accept each other's flaws. No, Ian did accepted TJ’s flaws. While Ian's flaws isnt even a flaw, it's just his conscience messing up with him. Would I say that it's love? Yes, but maybe that kind of fucked up love is too shallow to held onto in my opinion.
It sure is not pure love TJ feels towards Ian, but it’s still love.
I know people can sleep with each other without loving each other, you didn’t have to phrase it like that. The thing is that they always come back to each other, when TJ suddenly leaves, Ian still misses TJ and sex can’t be the only thing he misses because he has plenty with Jo. It really doesn’t seem like Ian goes back to TJ “just because” and out of familiarity. But as Lobotomy said we can have different interpretations.
Yes Jo is an adult but he did get hurt because TJ felt jealous, and Ian is a murderer, and saw Jo becoming someone he isn’t because of him so it’s only Ian being biased ┗( T﹏T )┛
Yep their relationship is fucked up and toxic, I never said otherwise (the way it is toxic is part of the reason I like their dynamic) but it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other to me.
TJ going back to Ian's life would add more problems because breaking away from familiarity isn't as easy as you think it is. I even would argue that familiarity is on the same depth as love. When our brains are familiar to something, we cling unto that like it's our endgame, like it's in our nature to do that, when it's not.
Ian wouldn't be able to step away from that familiarity in chaos if TJ go back to him since TJ is the literal reminder of chaos in Ian's life.
And changing isn't as easy either. We can see when Ian wanted to change, there are a couple of times where he slipped up. That proves how hard it is to do so.
If TJ is so desperately wanted Ian and he'll “change for the better” then he should go out of his way and did his own journey on change beforehand. Because that's what Ian do. To me, TJs journey of change would be a hell lot harder than Ian's since he's on the abuser spectrum while Ian is the abused. Being on that spectrum means that TJ should cast his ego aside, and rework his brain's chemistry entirely. Would he be able to do so when his whole life is all about fulfilling what his ego wants?
In fact him going back to Ian because “he could change for the better” could be seen as just merely a slip in character. Would he be able to maintain that mere “slip” in his life? I don't think so.

this story had such a impact at first but became ass pretty quick..hawon lost his personality and now he is only "mr.kwon's hawon"..now they like each other bc yes?? loooll kwon is weird as fuck too..possessive, obsessive and an abuser who slutshame hawon everytime he can even when he got raped by that dude..dunno another stockcholm sindrome manhwa..im glad that its ending omg
