I went ahead and read the novel, well part of it. It’s super cliche with financial disparity between the mc and ml. Mc got wrongly accused and is left with a huge debt and the guy who scammed him got him a job at a club. There he met the ml who asked him whether he was selling his “hole” or not, mc declined and left with a good tip again. On the day he was supposed to make a payment he found out that the club basically takes most of your pay and the workers are basically stuck with no option other than selling themselves to make some sort of money. Mc was given a deadline of 3 days and on the third day, he approached the ml to see if the offer was still valid. Ml took him up on It, and the “consensual” not so Consensual stuff happened with mc backing out in the middle but ml not letting him. Later ml only seeked out mc while humiliating it, using violence ( slapping, hitting) and basically being an asshole in general. Mc did accept all this under the circumstances, since the scammer had started harassing his grandma as well. Ive gotten up to the part where ml finally moves to a hotel room instead of the sofa. We are supposed to think there is a little character development because he held the mc’s cheek AFTER he slapped him for not taking his clothes off fast enough because he was worried it may hurt a bit.

So this poor boy got tired of all the abuse from work and life in general that he ran away after getting his roommates/coworkers drunk. Now, logically he should have ran to the cops but no this boy decided to ask some “fishy” fishermen for help. They obviously tried to do stuff with him but he got saved by the Ml. Then the ml started hitting him and warning him not to run away next time or else and just brought him back to the club. The situation is worse than before since he’s being ostracized by his coworkers as well. He started to talk less and stand to the Ml more. Abuse continues but in a very rose tinted sort of way where the ml caresses him afterwards and books a room in the hotel above the club to do the deed( apparently he wanted to try more positions) so the ml eventually becomes his main client. Ml gets the mc whatever he wants to eat and even silence any abusers (manager and his underlings). I skipped a little since it got repetitive but the Ml bought the Mc on the condition that the mc will be his “prisoner” ( whatever that means) . He paid all his debts and took him out, but his second day or week, he found out his grandma is in the hospital so the Mc (after weighing his options) runs to find his grandma. I stopped at the part where Ml finds out and is pissed. I’ll update soon:(

Sooooo they find out the Zigril and Kay are the emperor and empress, they fearfully took a step back. Zigril killed some soldiers only to leave the heir and his father alone. this punk of a heir should have counted his blessings and let things be but nooooo on his visit to the palace he forcefully pulled Kay into the bushes and professed his love for him, tying to lure him with promise of freedom, just as my bb Kay was about to decline *woop* zigril cut the heir’s head off in front of his father. Then quietly went and annihilated the entire clan.
I don’t remember in order but zigril bought the mirror of targo so Kay would finally face his feelings and stop being wishy washy and when he sees what he desires the most(zigril) they finally become inseparable. Inseparable to the point of willingly taking another flower of Aloshya(consensually)and welcoming their second child.
So zigril went full Blade Runner on everyone & the Prince does not live to see the end.....Damn. Not surprised, but you know. What an ending lol.

I understand that garam is frustrating at times but you have to realize that trauma is a very fucked up thing, ESPECIALLY if you keep hearing from literally everyone in your partner’s life that they aren’t serious about you and that it won’t end well. It’s honestly ridiculous that garam even has to hear that from Jaehyuk’s friend of all people. Like imagine you are finally starting to overcome your trauma and place your trust in your partner(an ex homophobe) so much so that you get rings but his parents give you a dose of “reality”. No matter how tough you are, it’s difficult to navigate through that. I get his hesitation, though I wish he expressed it better but it’s pretty spot on for people in their young 20s.
