This started off rough, and I initially treated it more like porn than an actual BL manhwa. But now I can't help but genuinely love these characters. Don't get me wrong, Chunho is awful, but he knows he is. He never tries to justify his actions, and lately he's even been making an effort to control himself.
And Jaehee, well, what's not to love about him? He's dumb, but he's not stupid, and he's also hot ash hell. He's fully aware of what Chunho did to him, still he made the decision to be with him and stay with him. And I can't lie, they're actually kind of cute when they're acting like normal couple. They feel like people I'd actually meet irl.
Also I find their reasons for falling for each other believable, which is honestly my one criterion for a good romance. No it's not romance, at least I wouldn't categorize it as such. It's still porn with plot, but it's a good fucking porn.
I firmly believe that not everyone deserves to be in a healthy relationship. Like, a good person shouldn't have to suffer just to deal with a bad person, unless they willingly choose to be in that position. And in this case, both of them are terrible. Of course, that doesn't mean they're beyond fixing. But it also doesn't mean they necessarily have to fix their problems. Because in my opinion, if you're a bad person, you might truly deserve another bad person to be with you.
(I definitely wasn't projecting because deep down I believe I'm a bad person and I deserve to be treated badly. Nu uh.)
People when characters have issues hence we have the story of them being a better person by the end = >:(
I'm just saying I think we need to shift our focus to smth else rather than mentioning the same thing over and over again. Like I get it the didn't do the thing you'd do in their shoes but that's the point of this story (we literally have the side characters already telling them what is the logical thing to do). Yes he's 'red flag' or whatever but if that's all that you get from this, I don't think art is for you, maybe starts with peppa pig.
I don't think anyone has a problem with Jaemin being a better person by the end. However, none of the progress of him getting there is actually shown on the page. It's all time-skips. Him learning how to get over his obsession with Taeyoon and keep a distance from him? Time-skip. Him being forgiven by Taeyoon and learning how to be in a healthy relationship with Taeyoon? Time-skip.
Like, when Taeyoon forgives him and says "prove to me that you can be a better person," and then we don't actually get to see him be a better person, but instead we get a 3-month skip and a mention of "sometimes, things were hard but we made it work," that's not a story of Jaemin learning how to be a better person by the end. To us, he's still the same Jaemin, but with a good-person-filter applied on top.
If we can see every single detail of how he was abused and bullied as a child and developed his obsession in school, then it feels kinda cheap that we can't even see a few detailed scenes of how he and Taeyoon repaired their relationship after the apology.
Why do the scan teams really want to upload this manhwa? No shade I'm just curious, seems like no one's gonna give up to the other.
Actually on the three teams uploading this , only one is a real team ( kaizen scan ) who is translating this ,the other 2 are just ai bullshit that translate with ai and upload over other's translation you can see it on a lot of manwhas where there is alr a fan translation and then an ai translator fucker will just upload over the first translation , i recommand trying not to read on the ai ones first to support the real translators and second because the ai translations are just shitty and lifeless theres no funny comment from the traductor also no real human understanding of the character its just really bad overall

Sure man, whatever gets the plot moving I guess
