same happened to me. i began reading straight manhwas and my life changed haha

Samee, unless it's very specific types that I like or black and white manga style I'm just unable to read them. I started straight manhwas like I want some sushi said and I haven't stopped. They've become boring and only about abuse and then redemption

Maybe you jsut don't like those specific BLs. I'm also like that because It's hard to find good recent ones where there's no noncon or toxic shit, or maybe you just read too much and you think BL is boring now lmao.
Don't read any romance stuffs, not even straight romance for a while and try other genres and then go back again if you feel like it

I mean i used to all genres to begin with. And then after some time i was getting of straight mangas and started to exclusively read BL. This continued for a few years straight. Then Mangago resetted and all my lists were gone. Now suddenly its like i don't even want to glance at BL. Its like an aversion for some reason.

Yeah but like straight stories are toxic too. But BL is another level. Every single story is assault and grape stuff. Its like authors cant write a story without including these.

I think you should stop reading any mainly romance themed story for a while. Maybe it's your list getting removed took a toll on you. Read no romance stuff like action Shonen or something, or maybe fluff BL/GL/straight romance (no 18+ scenes)
And I agree, most BLs are pretty toxic. Especially guide verse and omegaverse BLs. It just pisses me because it's mostly noncon, as if they made those verse not just for the sm.ut, but for also the r.aping stuff, and I fucking hate it.
So I only read specific type of pairings when it comes to those two BL verse,
like alpha X alpha, esper x esper/ guide seme x esper uke, but generally I just avoid these BL verses no matter what the pairing is, because if the main couple isn't that toxic, the side couples are.
