Remember when enzo was like "I was only joking about cutting ur dick off haha" but then the author on twt even said he had doctors on standby in the parking lot to take care of uno so he didn't bleed out.... And now this psycho wants me to believe he was never going to break uno's ribs?? Yea aight
Love how this was a light hearted funny chapter of dojin reacting like his own dad did in the past being hella dramatic but some of the comments are taking this soooo seriously
Also some of you are misunderstanding yes Dojin is prob more protective because Byul is dating an alpha but lets be real for a sec guys, Byul could have brought home an omega and dojin still would have had a fit. He views Byul as his baby boy and doesn't want to face the fact that he's grown now and will be dating
Whats wild is that enzo the self aware psycho told uno that he would regret getting him interested lmao
*side note I hope candy comes into play at some point since he did promise uno in RC just for the drama it'll bring*
Is it just me or do people only ever comment "pls switch" when its the "non traditional" looking characters that are top & bottom? Like I never see a bunch of comments wanting the characters to switch positions when its the usual large and stoic top x small and cute bottom but when the dynamic is the other way around all of a sudden everyone loves switching
I love how Ahjo was less of a dick this chapter (feeding the dog, stopping his brother from taking advantage of Horang during his heat & gave Horang his pills when they got home, etc) and the comments are still mad I think you guys would be happier if you just dropped the story
Ark and Julius relationship is very cute and I like how tender he is with ark in not pushing for more until ark was ready, felt very organic. Will say that the story (altho I know it's not done) would've benifited more if it was longer. Like I wish we got to see the two graduallt realise their feelings for one another instead of it being immediate infatuation. Also would've been great if we had been given more world building before the abrupt time skip. It's kinda funny tho that their world randomly has mpreg?? And we still don't know why or how. Are all men in their world capable of giving birth? Is there a procedure or medicine you have to take or does it just require regular old cum?? Feels like this was thrown in to avoid any angst of "we can't be together because I can't give you a heir" or smth. Although I like Ark's and Julius relationship I kinda don't dig how much of a bitch ark is? Lol I'm sorry but theres no other way to describe his personality other than bitch and by that I mean hoq utterly spineless he is at all times? You can't have your uke be both weak physically (twink) and emotionally that's a deadly and annoying combo.
It's great that he figured out he needs to be kind to help his doomed future in anyway but that doesn't mean you gotta be a doormat bro T_T He really saw his OPP take his loyal as a dog man to his bedroom and thought aw shucks I guess Julius perfers him :/ Bitch what?? I get why he has insecruities but there has to come a time where you need to be confident and believe in your lover whom you've known for 10 yrs or your relationship will not work out. That guy was so close to raping Julius while your over there crying in your bedroom. And speaking of Julius I miss how he was A lot more expressive as a kid/teen compared to now it's like adulthood turned him into an outwarldy stone cold top
It's funny to think about how because mc got transported into a BL story and changed the character Hajin from a side top to the main mc/bottom, BL rules decitates that now Seo-woon must behave as the crazy top now. And not only that every elligible bachelor must also fall madly in love with mc over basically nothing lmao
But I agree with the other comments how this started off really strong and interesting but turned meh at the end. Feels like the author took on waaayyy too many plot points that they couldn't juggle well which caused the ending to be what it was, which is rushed as hell.
For example while I do like the desgin for Kim Shin his character was kinda pointless? His reasoning for why he sent incriminating photos to blogs was dumb as hell, and both for the reader and even Hajin it felt like we were never connected to Kim Shin as a charater anyway so the betreyal felt flat?
Like from the moment mc came into the world he was constantly giving the dude the cold shoulder and they never had a genuine moment between them it was just Kim Shin chasing after him like a dog while the mc couldn't care less. But all of a sudden I'm supposed to believe he felt hurt by the betrayal? Girl pls
Another area that really felt flat to me was the supposed second male lead from the webtoon Shin Yeo-woon who was not only introduced way too late but also felt like a very unneeded addition by the time he came in. Probably would've flowed better if he was in the University from the beginning instead of having him be in high school for a large chunk of Hajin developing a relationship with seo woon.
Even if we all know it was never going to be him, if we are going to have him here anyway then we might as well have developed a genuine bond between Hajin and Shin Yeo-woon to the point where we could see him as an actual potential option instead of his ass showing up mad late and contributing fuck all.
I don't even wanna touch on the insanity of the family plot but all I wanna say for that is that it would've been a lot more believeable if Hajin's brother was an affair baby instead. Because then it would make more sense why Hajin's dad and grandfather wanted to act like he doesn't exist despite being the better option?? He was more well behaved (before mc took over) and recieved better grades. Also the fact that they switched the brothers identities making Hajin the older one means his old ass brother was still attened high school is comical like what was the logic here??
Does anyone else really enjoy toko and luka's relationship dynamic? Well the bits that we got that is, like out of all the other zweilt pairs she is the one that he is closest to. Idk I love how she's always making an effort to try and bridge that gap Luka has with the others (as he was only close with yuki) while outside of tsukumo, luka is the only one toko allows herself to be vulnerable with. As she mentioned how she always has to be everyone else's big sister in a sense. I could honestly see these two together if yuki & luka were not a thing so I really enjoy their platonic bond
What I appreciate about this manga is that we get to see them navigate a gay relationship in Japan, from engagment to moving in and the fear of coming out to their friends & family while also expectedly fearing persecution from their coworkers. It's all done realistically.
I'm used to other BL mangas have the characters hide the fact that their dating another man from everyone in their social circle which is obviously understandable but it's nice to explore the opposite of that like what would it mean to be in an openly queer relatonship there and the effects it would have for them like the possibility of family disowning you or losing your job
I'm enjoying this so far since I really enjoy alpha x alpha!! Sidenote I'm on the early chapters but I feel like Junggil likes Jaeha's brother?? Idk he always seems excited when he's around. Edit: okay I caught up and I fucking knew he liked him!! Theres no way author randomly made one of the henchmen good looking for no reason while also having the brother constantly hang around still. I'm assuming they're going to be the side couple? Lol Jaeha & Jaeho dad is going to lose it if he finds out his second alpha heir won't have kids either
But does anyone else find it weird that Jaeha married essentially a gangster who kills people for a living? Like yea he fell in love at first sight and his husband clearly likes him back but it's odd that the most Jaeha has a problem with is Taekeon coming back injured but not him offing people...
Like at least with other bl stories with the loan shark/gangster aspect mc is justified in associating with gangsters because he has to pay off a large debt whereas in this story Jaeha is willingly involving himself with them??
This is such a cute story and a great subversion of the usual alpha/omega trope but I gotta say that my most fav ended up being dojun :')
He's such a cutie!!! I actually wanted to see more of his relationship with the doctor
I'll give this a chance but so far this feels like a 'turn your brain off and look at the pretty pictures" kinda story. Like the less you think about it the less annoyed you'll be with the characters...
I will say though that the reincarnation angle wasn't even necessary. We could have just made the mc loose his memories due to his childhood sickness therefore his personality changed from it's original douche past self. Feels like manga authors nowadays feel the need to have start off with an isekai gimmick and then move forward like it doesn't matter
I'm sure there will be side chapters to flesh things out but the overall story ended on a "I guess?" note for me. I very much could've went on with my life not reading this story and be fine with how lukewarm it all was, not the worst but definitley not great either just 'okay'. Which sucks because it started off amazing I had even rated it 4 stars in the beginning but now its more like 2 stars for me. Ending def would be more palatable if it had gone on more, we didn't even see their relationship much and every conflict got immediatley resolved... But my biggest dissapointment it that we didnt get to see Hyesung and Dojin's reaction to Byul dating Siwoo (altho that prob will be included in a side chapter??)
Honestly I don't feel too bad for nathaniel only because according to yaoi logic he's going to bw paired with someone else in the future. BL logic dictates that:
1. If a character (especially omega) is given an overly detailed and beautiful face that means they're important enough to be given focus at some point beyond mc
2. The fact that he easily could've dissapeared into the background after attacking mc but stuck around
3. He went through a bit of personal delevopment after that incident, was less mean to mc and we got to see his more sad & kinder side
4. !!MOST IMPORTANTLY!! the fact that this isn't one of those "ml has a true love but still visits his harem though" kinda story, nathaniel has said that there's no point to having a heat since the king doesn't plan to touch him again
^All this cultivates in a character that is being set up to have his own happy ending
Even if controversial I feel like fargo does way better plot wise when she actually has something to talk about like her pervious works. It feels like she tried too hard to keep this one light, fluffy and pg that the story ends up very bland and going nowhere. Like these kind of stories are not her strong suit some authors excel at the slice of life, innocent, coming of age story genre but she does not in my opinion
