currently reading the novel and honestly… Choi Sungbin (seme / blue hair) has zero redeeming qualities. he treats Yang Juwon (uke / brown hair) like absolute shit, only using him for his sexual needs (tho they don’t actually sleep together until much later) while still constantly fooling around with girls. there was even one time he almost pressured Juwon into a threesome with one of those girls, but Juwon backed off at the last moment.
Sungbin *does* decide to date Juwon, but only because he finds him “convenient.” basically, Juwon is just an emotional punching bag for him ☠. Sungbin always vents his anger and frustration on him, even forces him to buy stuff for him (despite Sungbin being way richer), knowing Juwon will cave to whatever he asks. he does feel a little guilty at times, but never actually does anything about it. and whenever Juwon does something that annoys him, Sungbin threatens to break up with him.
but honestly, I can’t say Juwon is that likeable either. he’s such a pushover. he actually found out about Sungbin through his ex-gf—she broke up with Juwon because she fell for Sungbin, and it got so bad she started obsessing over her looks. Juwon didn’t really *love* his ex like that, but he did care about her. he felt guilty seeing her so miserable and heartbroken because of Sungbin… yet still couldn’t stop himself from falling for him. the wild part is they barely even interacted before (like once maybe??), but he still had this hopeless crush.
eventually Sungbin does start to “soften” towards Juwon, but I’m using that word very loosely bc he still acts like such a bitch. he knows he’s starting to care about Juwon, but denies it like his life depends on it. I guess they’re trying to make him a tsundere or whatever, but it’s done horribly. I just wish Juwon had an actual backbone . the whole thing kinda reminds me of *Love History Caused by Willful Negligence* but way tamer, and with less complex characters lol.
I’m still in the middle of the novel, but so far… no chasing/groveling arc for the seme. and honestly, I’m not even hoping for it—it feels super unlikely with the way this novel is going.
sure! it's only up to chapter 17 though https://springofromance.com/chapter/uplb-ch-1/
i get people hating on minwoo for being overprotective but are we just glossing over the fact that the ml said that shit? ntm when he didnt use protection and didnt even tell the mc lol. how is he any better?? idk about y'all but minwoo's kinda valid for punching him, knowing your best friend (regardless of your feelings) is getting played by a playboy after the shit he went thru in childhood...
right i dont like how he's shocked minwoo is ignoring him when he technically asked for it in the first place.
honestly, it baffles me how people are hating on minwoo more than the ml who basically coerced the mc into the whole thing..... like didnt we get a flashback of the mc getting kidnapped as a kid.... the mc is so naive so id get why minwoo and his sister are so protective of him.
i know everyone loves lover boy but i hope everyone actually starts talking about this manhwa lol
anyway the mc is so cute!! i hope we catch up to the raws soon
It’s good to understand a bit of how Jaeha had such a big impact on this MC and why he has luggage. Jaeha was who he was low key in love with. It was a complicated relationship. Because while Jaeha completely failed to see what he was doing to MC, MC also didn’t confess or really pursue him selfishly (sadly… but also thankfully cuz the seme in Loverboy is so sweet)

i like their history together but i hate it when the story spends so much time on the flashbacks.... like man atp just write that, forget the bodyswap plot. lets be stuck at the past.
real
Frfr It’s hit a point sometimes I just skim the flashbacks. If it’s happening that early in the story, just start the story off with that rather than toss us into a flashback.
Especially when a lot of times we still get the same information through the main story (like when characters have a thought or two about the past, or if characters talk abt it)
