Could anyone help me find this manga?
I believe it was one or two chapter of another manga and the drawing kind of reminded me of Natsume Yuujinchou.
It is about a boy who bought a little chick when he was very little. He could understand what it was saying, thus, he usually spoke with it filled with pride. All around him, however, started to think of him as strange and "with problems" less his grandpa, who just smiled and asked "is that so?".
Years later, as a teen, when he heard that his grandpa had collapsed he went to his house with the intent of moving in. His grandpa was the only one who had never had any prejudice against him and understood him, thus his most important person.
Of course, the chicken goes as well. Both can talk, but now only do so in private.
It was very heart warming and I really want to read it again.
Not a manga, but could someone tell me the name of this movie?
I had it in my HD but I deleted it by mistake.
A guy takes care of his little nephew because his sister is a useless woman. He works at a restaurant of the sort and has a girlfriend. Then, the brother of his best friend comes back from Log Angeles or some big city and the two start off pretty well as friends.
Rumours going around that he is gay, and he is. People warning him and all.
Then, one night, they sleep together and start being together. The guy telling him to follow his dreams and go to the art school he so much wants to (he was accepted and had a scholarship and all, but gave up because his sister is useless). He tries the test again and passes but his sister lies to him and tells him he did not pass (I think this is second time she lies to him about this test, saying that he didn't pass because he is far too convenient to NOT have around).
The guy (seme, I believe) scolds him and all and they have a big fight.
In the end, he goes to live with the guy in Los Angeles/New York/Whatever whilst he studies and Cody (the nephew) went with them because the brother was much more of a fmaily figure for him than his own mom.
In the end, it was a gay couple with a son!
The seme looks like Thor with less muscles.
The movie is really nice, could someone tell me the name? I really miss it.
any fluffy, light heart, no annoying tsundere, male protagonists Isekai or the sort for someone feeling rather down and needs distraction?
I think I just asked for something rather unreasonable..
Thanks anyway

Hi ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
What are you guys favorite Isekai?
I am not asking for lists or recommendations or anything, I was just honestly wondering if there was a hidden gem or something, and most important of all, just want to know what's your favorite (=・ω・=)
With male protagonists, it'd be A Mild Noble's Vacation Suggestion. Why?
.
.
.
Just an avid yaoi lover (it is not yaoi, but the vibe...!); That protago is just great, xD
And a shoujo Isekai or the sort, it'd be Drop! A tale of the fragrance princess. I know the manga was surely a let down, but the novel is great. It is a shame what they did with the manga version of it. The protagonist is just so strong and independent that I honestly wish that she will become a countess or something, and not marry, but to be the one in command (yes, yes, I know...the tag is shoujo... But she is just so capable...); It competes with Tearmoon Empire Story, since Mia is just great. Both the novel and manga are great!
What about you?
Just want to know random thoughts and preferences, if you'd be so kind to give this bored person something to nonchalantly chat about ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
I'm also including reincarnation/game-like into this isekai list... hope you don't mind.
In terms of game like isekai - obviously "solo leveling" because of it's amazing art and quick pace. I think it's really good at capturing all those little "oh YASS" moments you generally get from an isekai when the MC kicks butt. However, I would say I'm most looking forward to http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/omniscient_reader_s_viewpoint/. The novel is amazing - I think it literally broke some viewer records in Korea.
On the less game like - more magic side but equally action focused - would be http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/a_returner_s_magic_should_be_special/?9d7M. It's a really good telling of the one man who goes back in time to save all his comrades story line.
There is also this huge genre of medieval/fantasy romance isekai. My favorites there have to be The villainess lives twice, the villainess reverses the hourglass and shadow queen. Shadow queen has just started but based on the novel, it has my highest expectations. All three have a quick pace (b/c they are all based on existing novels) and bad ass female leads who use their knowledge to gain the upper hand. Basically... yass queen.
Then there are what I consider feel good isekai. Unlike the previous categories, I don't feel like I'm rooting for the MC to save the world, (or the lead is just not up to that kind of serious responsibility). Instead I read it for the small amusements. In that category would be: http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/tearmoon_empire_story/, http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/jishou_akuyaku_reijou_na_konyakusha_no_kansatsu_kiroku/, and http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/tondemo_skill_de_isekai_hourou_meshi/. The first two have a female lead who is endearing but silly. It's like bakarina but less repetitive (personal opinion, sry). The last one .. idk.. it's just the perfect combination of cute, kick ass powers but rooting for the underdog vibe, with great food shots.
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I don't know the two first you have talked about, but I will take a look since you spoke so enthusiastically about it!
Villainess kind of manga are also a nice read, mostly if the protagonist is smart and can see that it is not a "game world" any longer; One that I found pretty disappointing was that one where (sorry, forgot the name) Tiararose marries the prince of the neighboring Kingdom and from there on, you just don't see much of how they described her; Perfect Queen Candidate and such; Meeting with other men outside the palace and stuff like that. It just feels like it is being written by a 10 years old and I find that rather off putting.
Yeah, these last three are pretty funny. More like to pass time by? Fluffy stuff for you to forget a tiring day, let's say.
Those that I find it more interesting due to not-so-serious-but-still-serious would be Goblin Slayer, Overlord (the novel is better), and those about revenge and/or vengeance. The problem with these Isekai settings that are about revenge is that halfway the author just turns it into a silly harem like stuff and it kind of loses its original purpose.
So, if we are talking plot wise here, I prefer Goblin Slayer, Overlord, Drop, and this last one isn't Isekai, but the scenario, setting and the protagonist is just great.
It's not deep, but it makes you think:
http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/even_if_the_world_is_over_it_s_fun_to_live/
And this one doesn't have a manga, but the plot is rather nice:
https://www.novelupdates.com/series/hakai-no-miko/
And, of course, we can't forget about Erika; Her motto of surviving is great.
https://www.novelupdates.com/series/shini-yasui-koshaku-reijo-to-shichi-nin-no-kikoshi/
They started uploading a manga version of Shini Yasui, but I don't have the link
I might get some serious hate on asking your opinion on this guys, but I can't be the only one who thinks like this (Yeah, I know I am not for no one is an unique snow flake)
But on these Isekai stories, the shoujo ones, don't you think that the heroine is a gold digger/slut of the sort?
I mean, sure, the male targets who are already engaged to someone accept being with her, but she is still accepting on being with an engaged man and ruining the life of a woman. Even when said "bullying" are merely words based. Like on etiquette, or clothing and the sort.
I don't think that's bullying, that's criticism. There's a huge difference.
So even when the heroine isn't annoying, for as long as she gets the male target, don't you guys think she is a gold digger/slut/son of a bitch?
I mean, it is a completely different thing when the heroine refuses the male target, though.
Yea I also feel like that sometimes. Especially if the FL is some weak an poor soul who needs to depend on the ml for everything. And I feel bad for when a side character or villainess gets their life ruined for wanting something. Like you gotta be the purest, nicest, most selfless thing in the world or you're a bitxh
yeah
both versions
I just think that if you are engaged, you are engaged.
Both sides shouldn't make a move.
Being friends is one thing, but since they portray the heroine as some sort of "saint", she shouldn't steal another woman's man. Isn't stealing a woman's man way worse than that so called "bullying" that is actually just criticism?
both!
If he is engaged, why are you trying to steal his heart? Being friends is one thing, but if he is engaged and you start feeling something, shouldn't this so called "pure being" put those feelings aside? If they are so cutesy, goodie goodie and a saint, why are you stealing someone's man? Isn't there a huge plot hole in this?
I just feel bad that they ruin these male target's fiances lives when most of them didn't actually do something truly harmful.
Well, there were a few that the heroine, even if a thieving cat, is in the right. Like "Oh, she came from another world, so it's fine even if I have a fiance" and she is like "He has a fiance, but I came from another world and little poor me knows nothing about this place..." even though the king himself is protecting her. There are some stories that they just find an excuse for the heroine to be in the right
Yep, I hate it too! Like, you thieving cat, the villain should beat you up black and blue!
Hmmmm... I think it would depend on the story itself. A lot of these stories, especially the ones about the villianess/victim going back in time, are about revenge and the faults in human beings. It's like a Shakespeare play, no one in the story is completely innocent. Everyone has an agenda and everyone has an undesirable fault.
If you see it from the perspective of someone who has been plucked out of their universe and dropped into another, that's a really large amount of stress and desperation that they're dealing with. So they'll most likely strike any deal or accept any kind of help extended their way. It's survive or die for them.
The only thing I find it very odd is how quickly they assimilated into a social circle that doesn't resemble their old lives at all. Because none of us common folks are going around having verbal battles with each other or scheming for one another's riches and statuses. We don't even understand how the entirety of the economy works most of the time, let alone understanding royal/nobility business practices or war strategies. Yet these transmigrated people are prancing through rich society like they've been trained to do it.
Also, the lack of being infected by disease and food poisoning is also baffling. If this is another world, you'd expect they'd be exposed to bacteria and infections they've never been exposed to but nope, they're fucking healthier than God.
Any good shoujo where the far better second male lead gets chosen? You know, that guy we always root for but they never get the female lead? I know I may get roasted for this, but in manga like sukitte ii na te I rooted for any other guy that showed an interest in Mai (Just hate Yamato scumbag all together. He just commits the same mistakes all the time.).
I have read one once (teacher, student, student) and it was really nice. Wanted to read another one.
Is it okay if it’s the third lead?
http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/cherry_boy_that_girl/
I need help finding this shoujo manga, if anyone could?
I don't remember much. Actually, almost nothing.
Just that the female lead was such a wussy I (and many others) were rooting for the "villainess". No, it is not Isekai. The "bad girl" wasn't bad per say, it's just she had guts to do what others didn't. She chased after what she wanted.
Any recommendations for a light hearted shoujo with your not usual protagonist? Not the fluffy, cute, shy girl.
By light heart I mean like...soushi souai, Koi dano Ai dano, paper bag-kun.
Nothing like sukitte ii nayo, kimi na todoke and such. Don't get me wrong, I like both, I am just not in the mood for that kind of manga right now.
If anyone could help, it would be appreciated. (=・ω・=)
Beware of the villainess! And just about any other villainess manhwa lol
Kaguya wants to be confessed to? It's a comedy with a genius FL.
