Ok so basically the Dark Empire absorbed the other empires as vassals, right? That means the other empires get to enter Floor 90 too

Unlike the previous tower floors, Floors 90 to 99 are each based on the current top 10 empires' previous cycle. The goal on each floor is to stop that empire from being destroyed by the monster. The difficulty is adjusted though, so they're only fighting a part of the monster instead of the real one

The scenarios in floor 90 onwards are basically simulations, but somehow it still affects both the past and the future

Japanese and korean comics always potray dark skinned characters as barbaric and bloodlusted and all brawns no brains in a fantasy setting.

Same way hollywood used to portray asians usually men as nerdy, awkward losers and blondes as dumb and slow. It's not direct, but like I said it's clearly motivated.

Even if some of these authors ended up just following a trend of having the dark skinned characters always be the barbarian and lowly, some other definitely did it on purpose lol

Its totally justified to complain about racial streotypes in manwhas because even though its fiction as you said, the inherent problem that many brown skinned characters are mostly potrayed as 'evil' or 'babaric' is still there and has every reason to be adressed. You must be joking, the problem here is that it's ALWAYS the people with darker skin who are labeled as villains, as barbarians, and when they are men like ML, they are always the brutes while FL are snow-white and super delicate.
Whether you want to admit it or not, this is blatant racism in manhwas.
Korea is an extremely racist country and its stories make this clear countless times.
Why are black people always the villains, why are they always labeled as aggressive and barbaric?
This is an issue that should not be normalized in our society and it is perfectly normal to question it.
Using the excuse that it's a fictional story is not a justification, it's just you trying to justify racism or aligning yourself with it.

First of all, Vinland Saga is a manga based on a TRUE STORY, there's no reason to bring this topic up here.
What I'm saying is that manhwas with dark-skinned people are always labeled, again and again and again, as I said in another comment, they are always the aggressive ones, the villains, the brutes.

I truly started a war lol. Don't get why people can't just understand that fiction reflects reality, and works created by people tend to reflect the personal beliefs of the person writing it. If the only reason to include a darker-skinned character is to make them an easy villain cuz you can label them an outsider/barbarian, then clearly there is a political slant to it, even if it's unintentional. Ignorance is alive and well, and acknowledging that harmful stereotypes exist is the only way people can learn and grow. Media influences the world, and if the manhwas Korean people always see have darker people as barbarians/sex symbols, it will continue to perpetuate these bad ideas. Acting like fiction doesn't influence the world is a very silly stance when that is sometimes the only way people can see different perspectives from their own, especially when they are younger. When those fictions all share common stereotypes, people are gonna notice; it's just up to the person to decide whether that stereotype is bad, and people can only do that if they are taught to recognize it; otherwise, it leads to generalizations like people in Korea make about darker-skinned people. I mean, just look at their beauty standards, where they literally do skin bleaching because being darker is seen as unattractive.

I'm no racist. I'm more of annoyed that everything has to be about someone's skintone/their ethnicity, etc. When it simply just doesn't have to be about one's skintone at all EVEN IN FICTION. Just because I don't share your opinion doesn't make me a racist.

Why do we call people "white" when not all of them have a white skintone. Just cuz they are pale? Why do we call "black" ppl black, when their skintone isn't even black but brown? I find it more racistic calling ppl white, black and group them up like that when they dun even have the skintone that literally is "white"/"black".

Yes, Vinland Saga is based on a true story, but it is none the less, a piece of fiction (inspired by a real story) where light skinned characters be babarians. Whether it's based on a true story or not, does NOT change the fact that light skinned characters are in this case, the babarians and NOT any dark skinned ones. Same with the Witcher, Vikings, etc.

How come we have characters in fictional works who do belly dancing, and all kinds of stuff? Obviously they are based off off of something irl as well. And what sort of ethnicity is being based off of those things? So it makes SENSE why a lot of those characters end up dark skinned.

If you base a character off a place where it's freaking sunny all the time, no wonder they have a tan skin. There is a reason why in The Witcher a lot of the characters there are pale. Cuz the sun doesn't shine that much. It's taking place in the north where it is extremely cold and stuff.

Except that ain't always the case. Not everything in fiction needs to reflect an authors belief. The reason the Queen simply has a different skintone is cuz she has a different skintone. I mean u could always reverse the question: "why are the characters light skinned?", "why do characters have a pale skin when they live in an area where it's always cold?", "why do characters who live in a sunny area usually have a tan skin?", "why do ppl have different skintones?" Answer, because they simply have said skintones. So "why not have a character which is dark skinned?". Why does everything need a reason? Why does everything need to be about someone's skintone?

On another hinsight, u can always put urself in another person's view. Imagine u calling someone a babarian, but at the same time you could be a babarian towards them. Fiction doesn't influence the world. It's the people who use the fiction who can influence the world. Ppl can use it for the good of it, and then there are ppl who misuses it. In ur case, you're misusing it. Because you are turning something into something that ain't even supposed to be the purpose of said work of fiction.

All a person needs to learn is how to differentiate between fiction and reality, if they can't then i call "skill issue" on that.

The story literally has pale characters be evil. The Queen isn't evil because she isn't pale. There is a reason why she does the things she does.

On another note, yes. Korea has an extreme toxic beauty standard, but not all koreans are like that. And that shit even exists outside korea. Racism is everywhere. Stereotypes always existed, even outside manhwas.

Though basic knowledge will apply to some degree such as the weather, culture or whatnot but not everything needs to have an association to reality, that's why it's called fiction. It's frustrating to see readers who bring their projective agendas on a webtoon that's supposed to be red to see the problem of the world inside that book.

So what if they're drawn that way? Go read some american webtoon where skin representations matter then. Entitled bitches who can't even draw shouldn't bitch about something that's not created by your hands. The narrative of this world is focused on a girl struggling to survive. What's the point of criticizing the directive of the illustration?

He also has no connection with the original owner of the body, so it makes their relationship totally new

i hate when authors don’t understand how side stories work, like no… we shouldn’t be getting more plot in the side story…side stories are simple silly chapters for the readers to enjoy like if you’re gonna continue the story from where it stopped when the main story ended, don’t end the story??
