yeah something about her being young and that we were all young and went through crushes at that age once so we should be sympathetic. unfortunately i wasn't that gaga about crushes when i was that girl's age nor did i relentlessly pursue someone the minute i felt doubtful (in my case that person tried to make me jealous by flirting with another girl right in front of my face just coz his friends told him so. looking back it's all so childish and it just makes me laugh now). however i stand by my words when i said the girl was on my last nerve when she tried to kiss Byul. maybe to me even ppl at that age should have the decency to back off when the other party is no longer interested so i can't sympathize with her at all. i don't see a reason why she insists on pursuing Byul when she initiated their break-up but now for convenience sake on her part she's saying they weren't really over, i mean talk about desperation and lack of self-respect. i do not however hate her, it's too strong a word and she is still young and immature and that combination is making her look dumb right now, but if she does anything to sabotage Siwoo later on that'll be a whole new rant fest for sure

I almost 100% agree, but they actually mentioned that the reason she thought he was interested again is that she thought he came looking for her when he actually came looking for the dude, stupid reason yeh but it was also shown that she only broke up cause byul didn't care about her at all. I'm not trying to defend her, she is unreasonable and overstepping boundaries, but calling what she did sexual abuse is just overreaction especially when the same people ask for the blue haired femboys baby (I don't remember the name) from the main story as if he's not an actual pos (not the father the other blue haired one)
i didn't see that comment saying what she did is sexual abuse but i feel like they only used that term coz she tried to kiss Byul in the previous chapter which to me was a dumb, bratty move on her part, hardly a sexual abuse situation especially since i was pretty sure Byul wasn't just gonna sit there and let her (i was not expecting the part where his parents brainwashed him to not kiss anyone until he's an adult tho lol). in any case she barely made a dent trying to seduce Byul since he really wasn't interested in her, however that girl has the potential to bully and sabotage Siwoo later on and that's what i'd rather ppl focus on when it comes to her, coz right now her trying to insert herself in the picture is just plain annoying
and yes, we can't sugarcoat it Byul is at fault as well for being fickle which led to her breaking up with him. ppl would've been less forthcoming with her if she was trying to win him back but no, she had to say she didn't really broke up with him, wording it in a way that's even convenient for her so i'm not surprised ppl overreacted when she tried to kiss him afterwards

How can some people bash Maxi with the recent chapters ? She has been helpful and feeling great about it, what’s the problem here ? This is the real starting of her individual development and it is actually already so big. She couldn’t even look people in the eyes, felt like every single action of hers would be judged, she had absolutely 0 confidence in herself, and look how she suggested to use that herb, and guided people to help gather more of it without wondering if she was right to do so. And like some people noticed, her stuttering had so much improved, even with strangers. In the end she had been so helpful to so many people. My princess only deserves praises and encouragement.
And if it not Riftan nor Maxi that are potential problems, it’s the pace. Spoiler alert, it will continue to be slow. If it bothers you too much, really, drop the story lol. Or come back in a year, so you will be able to binge it in one go

Yes, I love maxis and her Character development also the pace of it. Like she's not gonna be so op overnight it makes sense. Also I don't get the maxi hate I feel like people are just doing double standards and siding with riftans angry mood.
Yes her development taking time is what makes it more realistic, we can see every little step she’s making and it’s such a good point in the storyline. And I can assure you most of people don’t side with Riftan even when he’s right or when his reactions while not the best are understandable. A lot of readers of this webtoon are just here to hate on the main characters and plot and I absolutely don’t get it lol
This!!! It totally builds tension and that’s one of the best things about this story. It helps to understand the main characters even more, even if we only have Maxi’s pov, but still, we can get both hers and riftan’s perspectives and witness every detail of their individual and couple development

They don’t only have 'cute' or small flaws, the misunderstandings between them aren’t out of nowhere, they are married for +3 years but are still newlyweds, and they both never had a relationship before. So there is a lot for them to grow, and the slow pace is making sure we don’t live anything to the side of their development

Oh how I cherish the small moments when Riftan shows vulnerability. We know until now he’s still insecure about being a suitable husband for Maxi. And well, with his temper and knowing how he lived from his early teens, we could guess that expressing emotions or showing vulnerability was not something he could have learned or ever did. So to stop himself from leaving without proper farewell, and giving her his precious coin recounting the story about it was actually a big deal.
It’s not peak of communication, but it feels good to see them starting to talk about an issue more peacefully. Maxi didn’t express everything she had in mind, but she did talk about her not wanting to be alone and I am proud of her. Plus she realized she couldn’t be stubborn here. And the way Riftan reassured her and is already planning on making this expedition to be quick so he can be back to her, ah, I just love them.
And the slow pace is what makes this story realistic. Yes, it’s already +100 chapters and there are not major changes, but it makes it so we can witness and understand their growth more, both as a couple and as individuals (and think that a lot from the novel wasn’t even portrayed in the webtoon) and it is so, so worth it. But I get with the slow pace and the wait between chapters, its a lot lol. Letting it marinate before coming back to it as actually a good idea

I really don’t get people who keep reading this webtoon when they loathe either riftan or maxi. Like, it’s been 3 seasons guys, I could get why go through a whole season to see if the plot finally gets interesting to you, but more than two seasons, the main characters piss you off, and you’re still here ? Just … why ? Why waste your time on something you don’t like when it has +100 chapters ? And why bring your negativity in the comment section when there are people who enjoy the story or make constructive criticisms ?
If maxi is asking to go with him, even if we know and she herself is aware she isn’t ready for it, it’s because she still wants to be useful to him and the knights, and because she is actually the only one who sees riftan as a human being like any other people and not like the undefeated beast all the kingdom thinks of him. Plus riftan himself doesn’t see the worth of his own life. She knows he can get injured or literally killed and she might think she can help with what she learned so far. Is it delusional ? Yes, we can’t deny it. But hey, it is her husband and she loves him dearly, love can make anyone a little delusional, it is that much of a crime ? And yes, we know riftan will certainly not have the best of reaction, but again, try to understand why. He too would not want her to get any harm, and he is more realistic about the fact she is not able to follow them right now. And even if she was, it is her wife and he loves her. He wouldn’t want her to get injured or face great dangers that might even kill her. Is that also a crime ?

Agreed. Tbh, the novel did a better job at describing and everything. Some emotions are missed and the characters sometimes act out of character in the webtoon. Not huge but enough for me to wish it was portrayed better. But regardless, it gers us through. I wish it was rated R tho. The scenes be spicyyyyy
Definitely. It pains me how the webtoon rushed some important moments, and how some inner dialogues of Maxi,some Riftan’s actions or some of their conversations were not portrayed or cut out. They end up looking to harsh or too reckless because details have been left out from the novel.

The fact that maxi got insecure when the princess was mentioned and Riftan saw her change in behaviour as tiredness :’) but it is because he think she is so perfect he can’t imagine her being insecure about another woman
Have you realized how Maxi is building up courage ? She faced another dangerous situation but wasn’t so startled (yeah I know she froze because she thought it was too late for her buuuuut she didn’t faint afterwards this time!) and it didn’t shake her determination to go to the battlefield (and yeah, we all know she is still not prepared enough for this but let me be a little proud of her gaining confidence 2 seconds pls)

For the novel readers we know what will come up at the end of this arc, but still, I am just happy to see her by herself and not doubting herself and trying her best in those moments. They were necessary for her development, in spite of the tragic consequences. I can’t wait for the webtoon to het there but I am also so scared, my heart will break all over again lol
