Give me incest side plot NOW!!!
I could write a paragraph about how this is wrong, but to keep it short: the author set up the brothers having romantic subtext. Minjae notices this and even questions their relationship. Despite this, the author chose not to explicitly state that they are platonic and Minjae had a misconception. A well-done misdirection requires the preconceived notion to be explicitly proven wrong in favor of the accurate perception. Instead, all we got was the author confirming the two are not biologically related….
except that framing it as a misconception inherently sets it up as platonic/familial. besides that one moment of misunderstanding from minjae there is 0 other direct insinuation that they were/could be viewed in a romantic lens, and via that flashback scene of their childhood they make it clear it’s simply two brothers who look out for and care a lot about each other, as many siblings do.
and them not being blood related changes nothing(especially considering it was used as a way to forward the business succession subplot and make the chairperson look bad to the press in a way that won’t re-traumatize his victims and not about incest). they are both still legally brothers and were raised as such and see each other as such.
take ur incest fetish where it belongs.
All the abuse, rape, etc is whatever, I feel like in fiction*** I can mentally move past it. What I cannot move past is the way he emotionally breaks Haewon by playing with his feelings, making it seem like he doesn’t care about him, and act like he’s even remotely interested in that other guy. It literally makes me SICK. When is Haesung going to wake up and realize it is actually his own fault his man was sleeping around. I think that’s what I’ll need to be satisfied with this story.
Poor Haewonie he doesn’t deserve this kind of abuse :((((
I believe in Gojo Satoruke supremacy!!!! All y’all complaining don’t understand the appeal of such a beautiful man’s hole getting rammed. Thank you for your service Suguru <3
Also if you don’t like this dynamic I’m assuming you’re a child. True taste is enjoying my glorious blue eyed king get butt fucked by the love of his life. It takes maturity to understand peak.

For anyone confused, here’s a brief synopsis of what’s happening with the gangs. I think the poor translation is confusing people.
Seonwu, the MC, was in a gang (mayeong) and worked as an informant for the leader’s right hand man (hayeong). They also were romantically/sexually involved. The leader doesn’t trust Hayeong to leave, so he plans a merger with another gang (yuseong) so he can retire. He trusts Yuseong because he was close with the previous leader and his son/the current leader (Yijin, the ML).
To stop this from happening, Hanyeol killed the leader before the merger and blamed it on Seonwu. To make it seem more realistic, he also made Seonwu stab him. This allowed Seonwu to run away, where he is eventually found by Yijin.
Now, I’m a bit confused as to why yuseong is looking for Seonwu. It truly doesn’t matter whether he lives or dies. The merger is already cut off by the leader dying… my assumption is they want confirmation that Hanyeol was the murderer and to have leverage over him, but this is never stated.
The merger falling through places significant political pressure on yuseong. Their subsidiary gang is under pressure of falling apart, due to mayeong turning from the merger to a more aggressive tactic of stealing men/deals. The subsidiary could potentially take these deals, but the leadership is still loyal to Yuseong. This is causing people to leave or betray them for mayeong.
Yijin was presumably abused by his father, which leads to him being sympathetic to Seonwu and they fall in love (yk the main storyline lol).
Yijin knows the Seonwu, due to his great hearing and experience, could be helpful to sniffing out any betrayals in yuseong, and also can inform him about hanyeol’s movements. This (along with Seonwu being presumably safer around him/having no photos for people to know him by) is why he brings Seonwu to work with him.
Anyways, this was my reading of the politics plot - feel free to correct/add anything!! Like I said, the translation isn’t great and the story itself is poorly structured, so it’s easy to misunderstand some elements lol.
